Democrats Have Won 30 Special Elections In States Since Trump Was Elected, While Republicans Have Not Flipped Even One!

Democrats had now flipped 30 seats in state legislatures and other government positions in special elections since Donald Trump’s election.

This does not only include winning the Virginia Governorship, but also state legislative gains in that state and in New Jersey, and also a multitude of lesser known, but significant rejection of Republican candidates across the board, most recently in the backyard of Donald Trump, the Palm Beach County district in both the state House and state Senate, where Trump resides at his Mar A Lago estate in Palm Beach.

But also the same turnaround occurred in Tampa, Florida, and upset wins in other states, including most recently, Arkansas and New Hampshire, along with Texas, Mississippi, Georgia, and Iowa. The swing in support to Democrats is overwhelming, stunning Republicans nationwide.

It seems clear that the “Blue Wave” is on its way for the midterm elections in November, which is why Donald Trump is trying to limit the right to vote, and why he promoted gerrymandering in Texas and other Republican states, but with Democrats taking action in California and Virginia in particular, to try to resist the strategy.

2028 Presidential Primaries Being Planned By Democratic Party: Battle Of 12 States For First Four Slots!

With 2026 upon us, the Democratic Party is now considering which states to put in the forefront as “early” states to hold primaries or caucuses early in 2028 for the Presidential nomination.

Four states will be selected by the Democratic National Committee from a total of 12 states from four regions competing.

East—New Hampshire, Delaware

South—Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee

Midwest—Michigan, Illinois, Iowa

West—Nevada, New Mexico

In the past, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Iowa, and Nevada have been favored as “early” state contests for delegates.

However, this author and blogger, after much consideration, has the view that the four states that should go first, are:

New Hampshire
Virginia
Michigan
New Mexico

Two States–New Hampshire And Nevada—All Four Women Senators—Break With Democratic Party On Government Shutdown!

An odd circumstance has occurred regarding the decision of eight Democratic Senators to support the end of the federal government shutdown without gaining assurance of health care coverage for millions of Americans.

That odd circumstance is that both New Hampshire and Nevada have two women Senators who are part of the group that has caused so much turmoil in the Democratic Party by their decision to support ending the government shutdown.

New Hampshire has Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan, and Nevada has Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen representing their states in the US Senate.

Nothing like this has ever happened before in American history, and one wonders how the citizens of the New England state of New Hampshire and the Desert Southwest state of Nevada will react.

PBS Being Eliminated By Trump, Replaced By “Prager University”, Which Is Despicable Alternative!

PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, existent since 1969, is disappearing as a publicly supported entity, due to Donald Trump’s cutting of nearly a billion dollars of public funding for that agency which has been so positive and constructive over 56 years.

PBS will survive due to public support, but many rural stations will be unable to sustain themselves sadly.

Right wing influence is attempting to have a so called “university” which is not such, “Prager University”, propagandize and distort education in schools in many states, with ten states adopting their curriculums to promote their agenda, far from what PBS did.

Its videos, designed solely to promote propaganda and make profits, distort the truth of slavery; deny the reality of climate change and global warming; advocate racism, nativism, misogyny, and homophobia, rather than promote tolerance and acceptance. It also distorts the reality of fascism and advocates creationism, rather than the truth of science.

Its creator, Dennis Prager, undermines the traditional Jewish open mindedness of his faith, in a selfish desire to gain excessive wealth in league with evangelical religious extremists, proving the profit motive more important than basic ethics, morality, compassion, decency, and empathy.

It is important to realize that “Prager University” is NOT a university and does not confer degrees, and is not accredited by any recognized educational body.

Among those involved in video presentation are Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro, and Michelle Malkin, which says a lot in itself.

The website promotes against the minimum wage and gun control, and for unbridled, unregulated capitalism.

The states of Florida, Oklahoma, New Hampshire, Montana, Arizona, and Louisiana were the first states to allow “Prager University” to be an official vendor of so called educational material.

And now, Oklahoma has adopted an “ideology test” in league with “Prager University” to screen and withhold teaching certificates in the state from educators applying from “Blue” states to teach in the state, since they are considered “woke”, as if that is a sin.

It should be pointed out that it is hard to imagine any educator outside of Oklahoma lusting to move there, with the narrowminded nature of the Oklahoma Superintendant of Public Instruction, Ryan Walters, and the fact of the very low pay nationally of teachers in that state.

Political Polarization At Worst Point In Modern American History!

Political polarization is at its worst point in modern American history under the Presidency of Donald Trump.

Not only is the House of Representatives with its tightest balance in recent times, with only a few seats edge for Republicans, the precise reason for the Texas mid decade Gerrymandering promoted by Donald Trump.

It is also the reality that in the state governments across the nation, there are a total of 41 states with single party control, meaning the Governorship, and majorities in both houses of the state legislature.

26 states are under Republican control, and 15 states under Democratic control, what is termed as “trifectas”.

The only states that are not in one or the other trifecta are:

New Hampshire
Pennsylvania
Virginia
Michigan
Wisconsin
Minnesota
Arizona
Nevada
Alaska

The following states have Democratic Governors and Republican majority legislatures:

Pennsylvania
North Carolina
Kentucky
Wisconsin
Kansas
Arizona

The following states have Republican Governors and Democratic majority legislatures:

Nevada
Vermont
Virginia

Illinois Democratic Governor J B Pritzker Throws The Gauntlet Down To Donald Trump!

Illinois Democratic Governor J B Pritzker has thrown down the gauntlet to Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and MAGA Republicans.

In a speech in New Hampshire, Pritzker said it is time for Democrats to engage in mass protests, mobilization, and disruption, and not give Republicans a moment of peace.

The cruelty and callousness of Trump, Musk, and MAGA Republicans must be confronted directly and constantly.

Pritzker was NOT calling for violence, as White House Deputy Chief Of Staff Stephen Miller stated, as the reaction of the Trump Administration to the speech.

But Americans have the First Amendment right to march, demonstrate, hold the Trump Administration accountable in mass gatherings, as they did in the past, including most notably in the era of the Vietnam War!

Pritzker, the billionaire heir to the Hyatt Hotel fortune, is totally correct and inspiring, and he has been seen as a potential candidate for the Presidency in 2028, and with his Jewish heritage, he would mark a new direction if he were the party’s nominee.

Sad, But Essential That Joe Biden Step Aside!

As a strong and loyal supporter of Joe Biden for many years, it is a sad moment that now this blogger and author strongly believes that Biden must step aside and endorse Kamala Harris as his successor.

Biden should finish his term, but give all his efforts to the promotion of Harris to be the 47th President of the United States.

Harris has been a loyal and dedicated Vice President, and the criticisms of her are primarily racist, sexist, and misogynistic, as she is, clearly, perfectly qualified to be the next President of the United States.

The latest public opinion polls demonstrate that Biden is behind Donald Trump in every “swing state”, as well as in trouble in states that should not be in play, including Virginia, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Colorado, and Minnesota, and the Second District in Nebraska.

The thought of Donald Trump and JD Vance as the next President and Vice President is horrifying, but it could be even worse with the Democrats losing the US Senate and failing to regain the House of Representatives majority, which otherwise seemed likely.

No one man can be seen to be allowed to use his ego over the needs of his nation, his party, and all of the American people.

So by Sunday night, Biden needs to address the nation and announce his withdrawal, and endorsement of Kamala Harris.

It is only a bit more than 100 days to the election, and six months to the inauguration, and the nation needs to see a unified Democratic Party fighting for a decent future, and preventing an extremist right wing government under Trump, and long term, the much more dangerous JD Vance!

“Battleground” States Should Be Expanded By Democrats!

With an expected very close race for the Presidency between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, and with three independent or third party challengers being an additional threat to take away votes from the major party candidates, it is urgent that the list of “battleground” states be expanded by Democrats!

The usual belief is that the following states are the “battlegrounds”:

Pennsylvania (19)
Michigan (15)
Wisconsin (10)
Georgia (16)
Arizona (11)
Nevada (6)

Total 77 Electoral Votes

But in addition, the following states need to be considered potentials for extra attention financially and through campaign appearances by Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and numerous Democratic supporters in public office:

New Hampshire (4)
Virginia (13)
North Carolina (16)
Florida (30)
Minnesota (10)
New Mexico (5)

Total 78 Electoral Votes

Additionally, the Second District of Maine which has gone Republican in the past (2016 and 2020) should be focused on, as well as retaining the Second District of Nebraska, which has gone Democratic two times in the past (2008 and 2020), with both states allowing divided electoral votes for President.

So a total of 12 states and one Congressional District in Nebraska and Maine should be focused on to insure a Democratic victory in November!

So out of 538 Electoral Votes total, 157 are in play!

Nikki Haley Emerges As Final Challenger To Donald Trump

It seems clear that former South Carolina Governor and United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley is the sole final challenger to Donald Trump for the Republican Presidential nomination in 2024.

She has moved up in polls in Iowa and New Hampshire, while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is faltering.

If former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie were to drop out in New Hampshire, it would give Haley a fighting chance, in theory, to catch up to Trump.

The problem, however, is that Haley has been unwilling to directly challenge Trump, and some observers think she is angling for the Vice Presidential nomination with Trump.

Ultimately, the primary in South Carolina, Haley’s home state, will be the crucial factor in Haley’s candidacy, as if she cannot win there, then the nomination clearly is in the hands of Donald Trump.

Changing The Primary System For The Presidency Makes Total Sense!

After years of the Presidential primary system every four years being controlled by Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada, the Democratic Party and President Joe Biden are promoting a massive change to reflect reality about states and influence.

The plan proposed by Joe Biden would put South Carolina first, followed by a joint date for Nevada and New Hampshire, and then Georgia and Michigan, with Iowa left out of the equation with its outdated caucus system.

Of course, Iowa is upset, and New Hampshire is also unhappy, as they wish to go first, and might still arrange for a primary, due to state law, a week before the beginning of the primary season, but that could lead to refusal to seat delegates chosen in an unauthorized earlier primary.

No plan will please everyone, but this sounds like an excellent reorganization, although Republicans may not follow the same plan.
