First Session Of 119th Congress Ends, Leaving Millions Without Health Care Coverage!

The 119th Congress, First Session, has ended with the reality that the Affordable Care Act (Obama Care) has been gutted, with up to 22 million Americans left without health care coverage, a major tragedy.

Many of these Americans have serious health conditions, and now are in an impossible situation, leading to the reality that many will die as a result.

What the Republican dominated Congress has perpetrated is to abandon millions of Americans in their mad quest to give further tax cuts to people who do not need them.

Even Mitt Romney, the 2012 Presidential nominee of the Republican Party, has now come out for taxing millionaires, reversing his campaign back in 2012 against President Barack Obama, which contributed to his defeat.

With a growing oligarchy of super wealthy people, the nation is in dire financial straits that denies people a basic human right to health care.

European countries and Canada, and many other nations elsewhere, provide national health insurance, and yet, Republicans and Donald Trump have no concern about the welfare of those less fortunate, who are dependent on what was passed into law in 2010.

If it was up to the mean, nasty Republicans, they would look to eliminate Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security over time, goals the party has had since the 1930s and 1960s.

So this is a time where Americans have to come to grips that the Republican Party is only concerned about the elite top ten percent, and every effort has to be made to insure Democrats take over Congress, and start to take action against the evils of Donald Trump and his Cabinet Officers!

At End Of First Year Of Second Separate Term, Donald Trump “47” Ranks Lower Than “45”, And Below James Buchanan And Andrew Johnson In Presidential Rankings!

America has had 45 Presidents, and Grover Cleveland and Donald Trump have had separate Presidential terms after being defeated, so therefore, Cleveland is both the 22nd and 24th President, and Trump is both the 45th and 47th President.

With nearly a year completed of Trump 47, it is clear to anyone who judges Presidential leadership that Donald Trump 47 is far worse than Trump 45, and clearly below both James Buchanan 15 and Andrew Johnson 17, the Presidents before and after Abraham Lincoln 16, with certainty.

Trump 45 has been both ranked above Buchanan and Johnson, and at times, below, but now there is no contest with Trump 47.

Trump 45 had some Cabinet and other advisers who were able, to some extent, control his urges, and prevent the worst policies imaginable, but Trump 47 has no such individuals who can tame his destructive and unstable desires and actions.

So Trump 47, added to Trump 45, is without any debate, the absolutely worse President in American history, no debate or doubts, if for no other reason than both Buchanan and Johnson served one term and all but six weeks of one term, respectively.

So many outrages and mind blowing statements and actions on a daily basis leave America in danger of autocracy being established in such a way that American democracy and the rule of law are in dire straits.

Any sane person who is not racist, misogynist, nativist, Islamophobic, or a sympathizer with Russia and other autocracies, can perceive anything decent or reasonable coming from Donald Trump 47.

His Cabinet Officers and other advisors are the most horrendous, corrupt, and obscene group ever created, and his administration is the most corrupt in every way imaginable, far more than Richard Nixon.

There are no perceivable redeeming qualities one can acknowledge, and the thought of another three years of this monstrosity, whether or not Donald Trump survives that long, is an absolute horror.

With Richard Nixon, the thought of Spiro Agnew as a possible successor was evaded, thankfully, and we had a decent alternative in Gerald Ford, but one cannot be optimistic about JD Vance, based on his actions and utterances as Vice President, that he would improve upon or abandon the policies of Donald Trump!

84th Anniversary Of Pearl Harbor: America In Great Danger Under An Incompetent And Unstable President!

Today is the 84th Anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, which brought America into World War II.

There are only 12 survivors of that attack, all at least 102 years of age.

Their sacrifice, and that of all those who perished on that day in 1941, led to America’s role in world affairs, after the crazy isolationism of the 1920s and 1930s.

And yet, now, we have an incompetent and unstable occupant of the Oval Office, who is only too willing to be charmed by authoritarian figures, as he works to model himself on them and their evil doings.

Donald Trump has worked to destroy American foreign policy, and is now condemning democratic leaders in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, as well as allies in Asia, and democracies elsewhere.

The danger is that with our naivete in the White House, we could see another intelligence failure that leads to a disaster far worse than Pearl Harbor or even the September 11, 2001 attacks.

We have an incompetent Secretary of Defense in Pete Hegseth, and a Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, only too willing to bend to the wishes of Donald Trump, and the entire Trump Cabinet are a bunch of lackeys, only too eager to be sycophants.

Pete Hegseth Becomes Heavy Burden For Trump, But Seems More A Threat To Republicans In Upcoming Midterm Elections Of 2026!

Secretary of Defense (NOT War as Trump claims) Pete Hegseth is becoming a heavy burden, as the Signal Gate (Signal Chat Leak Crisis) Scandal in the spring, and now the murder of survivors of what are seen as illegal attacks on so called drug boats in the Caribbean and Pacific by the US military, supposedly coming from Venezuela, are causing major problems, with many Republicans finally speaking out in outrage.

Trump was willing to “sacrifice” people around him in his first term, but it seems as if he is trying to continue to back controversial Cabinet members, of which there are many, this round in the White House.

Republicans in Congress are, clearly, running scared, as the projection now is that Democrats have a real shot at regaining control of the Congress, after the special Tennessee Congressional race was won by the Republican nominee only by 9 points, compared to when Trump won the district by 22 points in 2024!

Right Wing Fanatics Who Endanger America With Their Rhetoric!

Freedom of speech is essential as part of the Bill of Rights, but that does not mean that anything uttered by right wing fanatics should be be given slack as free to exploit for profit without accountability.

We have those who have no issue with dividing America for their own profit, and some of them are beyond the pale.

They would include Tucker Carlson, formerly of CNN and later before leaving, at Fox News Channel, now a loose cannon, and becoming more extreme and reckless by the day.

It also includes Megyn Kelly, who acts totally different than a decade ago, before she was on NBC and then dismissed, and now has gone off the deep end in her rhetoric.

It also includes Nick Fuentes, an avowed antisemite, racist, nativist, and misogynist, who has no issue with appealing to single white men who are finding it difficult to adjust to difficult economic times, even though he is himself of Hispanic ancestry!

Fuentes was a major critic of Charlie Kirk before his assassination, thinking he was not extreme enough in his utterances and beliefs!

These are just three of a much larger group of Republican Right extremists, who present a dire threat to political stability for the American future, and unfortunately, have the ear of Republican leadership, including Donald Trump, JD Vance, and the Trump Cabinet Officers, who often embrace them!

Trump Corruption And Malfeasance In Long Line Of Past Republican Presidents, But Worse Than Any Of Them!

The level of Donald Trump, Cabinet, and Advisors corruption and malfeasance is the most massive in American history, and right out in the open, without any apology or shame!

But this is nothing new for Republican Presidents.

Historians, Political Scientists, and other scholars have made clear by research and living through the past few Republican Presidents, that the Republican Party is manifestly a party of privilege and open abuse of office under SIX Republican Presidents.

In order historically, the following Republican Presidents have presided over massive corruption:

Ulysses S. Grant (1869-1877)—most famously Credit Mobilier Scandal but others as well.

Warren G. Harding (1921-1923)—most famously Teapot Dome Scandal but others as well.

Richard Nixon (1969-1974)—most famously Watergate Scandal but others as well.

Ronald Reagan (1981-1989)—most famously Iran-Contra Scandal but others as well.

George W. Bush (2001-2009)—most famously Iraq War Scandal but others as well.

It is often felt that Grant, Harding, Reagan, and Bush may not have been intimately involved personally, but they had corrupt adviers and Cabinet members around them.

In the case of Nixon, clearly, he was the most corrrupt personally and administration of any of these Presidents, until Donald Trump, who has surpassed Nixon by leaps and bounds!

The Trump Cabinet The Worst, Most Corrupt In American History!

Past Presidents of the United States have had Cabinet officers who have been corrupt or outrageous in conduct, but never has any President had so many as Donald Trump.

There are no redeeming qualities for most of the Trump Cabinet and other top advisors, but some are the worst of the worst.

This select list would include, in no special order the following nine advisers to Trump:

Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Attorney General Pam Bondi
Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard
Director of the Office of Management And Budget Russell Vought
White House Border Czar Thomas Homan
White House Deputy Chief of Staff and Homeland Security Adviser Stephen Miller

Interestingly, when one looks at other Presidents and their Cabinet members, it is reality that Republicans are infamous for presiding over more corruption, particularly so under

Ulysses S. Grant (1869-1877)
Warren G. Harding (1921-1923)
Richard Nixon (1969-1974)
Ronald Reagan (1981-1989)
George W. Bush (2001-2009)
Donald Trump first term (2017-2021)

While there have been some examples of corruption under Democratic Presidents, none of them match anywhere near the level of these six Republican Presidents, including Donald Trump!

Constitution Day: The Crisis America Faces Under Donald Trump!

Today, September 17, is Constitution Day, celebrated every year in honor of the US Constitution, which was signed by the delegates to the Constitutional Convention in PHiladelphia on this day in 1787.

The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia and the National Archives in Washington, DC are commemorating the history of the Constitution as America is moving toward the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026.

It is ironic and sad that as we celebrate these documents, including also the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence, that we are faced by the greatest threat in American history, due to a criminally convicted and twice impeached President, who with his Cabinet and other allies, is in process of destroying the American Republic and American Democracy.

But there is a major reaction by all freedom loving people to resist what is happening, as all of us owe our allegiance to freedom and tolerance of political differences.

We have survived polarized times before, including the combative Presidential Election of 1800, when we had the first transition of power from one group to another, and without bloodshed.

We have survived the tumultuous Civil War; the struggle for racial justice; the Great Depression; the threat of Fascism in World War II; the Cold War with the Soviet Union; and the hotly contested Presidential Election of 2000.

It is hard to see it now, but America will survive Donald Trump, as long as we continue to believe in the Founding Documents of our nation, and insure that we continue to promote resistance to any threat to our historical traditions!

Shocking Assassination Of Charlie Kirk A Danger Sign For Future Of American Politics! :(

The shocking assassination of right wing activist Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, at a Utah University speaking event yesterday, is a danger sign for the future of American politics.

Kirk was a controversial and outspoken figure, who had millions of followers on social media who followed his extremist rhetoric, which had elements of racism, nativism, misogyny, Islamophobia, and attacks on gay, lesbian and transgender people.

And despite his recent pro Israel support on the Gaza War, Kirk also had uttered antisemitic assertions, and was promoting a white Christian MAGA nationalism mentality.

Kirk had the full support of Donald Trump and his children, JD Vance, and all of the most influential Trump Cabinet and advisers, and was seen as the most controversial and divisive young advocate of Trump policies, along with Stephen Miller.

Now, sadly and troubling, we are seeing, already, right wing attacks on the left wing, without any idea of who the assassin was, and that person’s motivations, as the manhunt continues as I write this entry.

And the fear is that Trump and his Cabinet will step up even more abusive and aggressive attacks on the vulnerable groups that have already been victimized in the past eight months.

Here we are on the 24th anniversary of September 11, and now a crisis on what the American future will be, and the fear of many more victims of violence and bloodshed that may be perpetrated by the extremists of both sides of the political spectrum.

This is a time that America should be uniting in mourning a death that should not have occurred, not a time for retribution and revenge!

Trump’s Three Hour Rant At Cabinet Meeting, Including Talk Of Being A Dictator, An Alarm Bell Ringing!

The latest Trump Cabinet meeting, lasting more than three hours, is an elaboration of earlier meetings where the Cabinet members engage in mind boggling praise of the President.

Groveling and flattery have become predominant in a way never occurring before with any other President.

Watching and listening to the effusive praise, which reminds one of the equivalent such behavior toward Kim Jong Un of North Korea, Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation, and other authoritarian figures past and present, is enough to make one wish to vomit.

And Trump ranting for over three hours, clearly mentally unhinged, and talking about some thinking he should be a dictator, is extremely alarming.

It is clear that his mental state is, without a doubt, in deterioration before our eyes, and yet no one speaks up, and even the news media, while noticing, do not go after Trump, as many did toward Joe Biden, who was never in such a disastrous mental state as Trump clearly is.
