The “Short List” of Vice Presidential possibities for Donald Trump is a list of horrors!

The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) had a straw poll of attendees and the list of candidates was as follows, with two ties:

Vivek Ramaswamy
Kristi Noem

Tulsi Gabbard

Elise Stefanik
Tim Scott

Byron Donalds

Kari Lake

They are all horrendous in different degrees, but Ramaswamy is the worst, with his desire to wipe out the FBI, Centers for Disease Control, and the Department of Education, and cut the federal work force by a massive margin!

Kristi Noem has suggested that Trump be added to Mount Rushmore in her state of South Dakota!

Gabbard, a former Democratic Congresswoman from Hawaii, has really gone off the deep end, and many have wondered about her mental stability!

Stefanik has stated that Trump committed no crimes, and has had a wonderful business history, which makes her truly an example of a person who has sold her soul, with no ethics, morals, or scruples! She is a total sycophant, with no shame!

Tim Scott, Senator from South Carolina, has degraded himself in subjugation to Trump in an absolutely disgraceful manner!

Byron Donalds has also come across as totally a sycophant!

And Kari Lake continues to claim she won the Arizona gubernatorial race in 2022, copying the tactics of Donald Trump!

By comparison, Mike Pence looks far more rational.

None of them match the qualifications and stature of Vice President Kamala Harris!

Age Issue Is Neutralized: Competence And Decency Will Decide Election In November!

For the next nine months, we will hear constantly that Joe Biden is too old and feeble to be President for another four years.

This is really a non-issue as his opponent, Donald Trump would be in his 80s during the next four years, so the age issue is really neutralized.

If Biden was facing a much younger Republican opponent, then age would be an issue, but if that was happening, even Biden has said he would not be running, and is doing so only to stop the threat of Donald Trump returning to the White House.

Joe Biden was driven to run in 2020 due to the horrible reality of Donald Trump, thinking he was the only potential opponent who could defeat Trump, which he did handily by more than 7.1 million votes, a massive victory.

Biden’s competence, decency, and record in office have been so noticeable, that despite horrible attacks from MAGA Republicans and Donald Trump, and despite polls that are so often inaccurate so far out from an election, the odds of his reelection are very likely.

Biden has presided over an economy that is outstanding; has the respect and support of NATO leaders who fear Donald Trump; and has the vision that would move America and its relationship with the world forward.

Fear that he might not finish a second term is also the issue of Donald Trump, since arguably, Trump is in far worse physical and cognitive shape than is Joe Biden.

So the Vice Presidency is crucial, and while many would be not happy at the thought of Kamala Harris, when considers the likely alternative list being bandied about of possible Trump Vice Presidential running mates, there is no comparison!

Would Marjorie Taylor Greene, Elise Stefanik, Kari Lake, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Kristi Noem, Vivik Ramaswamy, Tim Scott or other sycophants be better than Kamala Harris?

Only in the delustional minds of MAGA Republicans, who care not a whit about American democracy, the rule of law, and the Constitution!

Elise Stefanik A Totally Unprincipled MAGA Republican After Being Moderate!

New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik is a totally unprincipled MAGA Republican who started off as a “moderate” upstate NY Republican a decade ago, but has now sold her soul to Donald Trump.

She has made a reputation for herself as a demagogue, who is attacking University Presidents, as a so called champion of Israel; as an election denier of the 2020 Presidential Election results, and now ready to resist the results in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election; calling the January 6 Insurrectionists “hostages”; and having no issue with Donald Trump’s utterances that are seen as authoritarian Fascist in nature, including his promotion of a dictatorship on Day One if he is elected in November.

It is clear she is auditioning to be Trump’s Vice Presidential running mate, clearly extremely ambitious but having a lack of any principles other than her own advancement at the expense of American democracy!

Antisemitism On University Campuses, Elise Stefanik, And Donald Trump

The weak response of University Presidents toward antisemitism on their campuses (as at Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Pennsylvania) is reprehensible, and it is essential that all universities and colleges take this expression of hatred seriously.

However, the fact that New York Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, who went from being a moderate to being a full scale MAGA Republican in support of Donald Trump, gained attention for being the member of Congress to confront university Presidents, should not be dramatized, and she should not be praised and applauded for her hypocritical stunt!

Stefanik is all but willing to accept all of the criminal acts and statements of Donald Trump, and she has nothing to say about Trump consorting with antisemites on a regular basis!

One must not forget that Trump hosted Kanye West and Nick Fuentes, well known and notorious antisemites, at Mar a Lago, and has himself embraced many other rightwing hatemongers of all stripes.

Stefanik refused to accept the Electoral College results in 2020, and is only too willing to accept any lies and deception of Donald Trump, so consider her “a wolf in sheep’s clothing”, not to be trusted or applauded!

The Horrible Potential Candidates For Trump Vice Presidential Choice!

Speculation has begun for potential Vice Presidential running mates for Donald Trump, if he goes on to be the Republican Presidential nominee in 2024.

The emphasis is on race and gender, which is odd for Republicans who wish to deemphasize such factors, but a list has been drawn up that has individuals who would be, despite their race or gender, horrendous, and a danger to the nation if any of them were a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

They include:

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem
South Carolina Senator Tim Scott
New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders
Florida Congressman Byron Donalds
Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy
Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene

Also mentioned are former South Carolina Governor and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, who is fast becoming the major alternative to Trump; and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Those two and Kristi Noem and Tim Scott are the “best’ of a horrible lot, with the other five truly nightmare choices!

Trump has degraded the Presidency, and now seems likely to be ready to degrade the office of the Vice Presidency!

Horrendous Alternative Vice Presidential Candidates For Donald Trump!

As Donald Trump seems near to becoming the Republican Presidential nominee in 2024, despite 4 indictments and 2 impeachments, the horrendous thought of who could be, in theory, his Vice Presidential runningmate comes into focus.

Republicans have been infamous for selecting terrible Vice Presidential choices, going back a half century.

Think of Spiro Agnew under Richard Nixon; Dan Quayle under George H. W. Bush; Dick Cheney under George W. Bush; and Mike Pence under Donald Trump!

Also, think of Sarah Palin under John McCain; and Paul Ryan under Mitt Romney.

Compare them to Walter Mondale under Jimmy Carter; Al Gore under Bill Clinton; Joe Biden under Barack Obama; and Kamala Harris under Joe Biden.

Now, the so called “short list” includes South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem; Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene; Arizona gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake; Ohio biotech executive Presidential contender Vivek Ramaswamy; New York House Chair of Republican Conference Elise Stefanik; and Florida Congressman Byron Donalds!

None of this list of six would be a safe choice to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency!

The thought that Donald Trump might be the Republican Presidential nominee in 2024 is horrifying, but even worse is the thought of potential VP running mates for him, who would be a heartbeat from the Presidency if he won the election!

Many of the potential candidates are women, and many of them are ill qualified to be President in any form or fashion.

Any of the above 12 would be outrageous!

Of course, contenders against Trump could be on the short list

Kevin McCarthy Would Be A Disaster As Speaker Of The House!

Trepidation is growing at the looming possibility that Kevin McCarthy could become the Speaker of the House of Representatives in January 2023, two heartbeats away from the Presidency!

While John Boehner and Paul Ryan had their major shortcomings, either of them would be far superior to McCarthy, who has demonstrated his total lack of morals, ethics, and principles in his years working his way up leadership to the potential Speakership!

McCarthy was totally freaked out on January 6, 2021, and momentarily said and did the right thing in condemning Donald Trump, but his ambition took over, and he made up with Trump at Mar A Lago, and denied reality of the criminal activities of that day, including ignoring the suffering of US Capitol police officers!

McCarthy was willing to ditch Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, and work with Elise Stefanik, Jim Jordan, and the 147 House Republicans who refused to accept that Joe Biden won the Presidency!

He is willing to work with the most extremist members of his caucus, including Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, and he has made it clear that the goal of the Republicans is to destroy ObamaCare (The Affordable Care Act), as well as phase out Medicare and Social Security, and move to impeach President Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland, and other cabinet officers, even though none would be removed from office by such action!

The lunatic fringe of the Republican Party would hold the reins of power, and promote chaos, including trying to adopt a national abortion ban! As conservative columnist Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post and MSNBC host Chris Hayes have stated, the Republican Party would “wreak havoc”, including threatening not to raise the debt limit, and stopping aid to Ukraine, a gift to Vladimir Putin!

So the Republicans would do what Donald Trump was doing in his Presidential term—cozy up to Putin, and undermine NATO, a horrifying scenario, which would undermine both American democracy and efforts to maintain democracy in Europe and elsewhere!

The Republican Party Declares War On Law Enforcement And National Security!

The Republican Party, Donald Trump loyalists, and Fox News Channel have declared war on law enforcement and national security, threatening action to destroy the FBI, Department of Justice, and Department of Homeland Security, over the legitimate action of removing national security and other government documents wrongfully taken by Donald Trump to his Florida estate, Mar A Lago, when he left office 19 months ago!

It is shocking to see the reaction of a large slew of Republicans, including, among others:

They and numerous others are promoting violence and potential civil war, and it is clear that they have become the Fascist Party, with the desire to install Donald Trump as the dictator of the US, with the plan to wipe out these government agencies!

Death threats are emanating, with the fear that top government officials to the highest level, may be subjected to assassination threats, a horrifying thought!

Another January 6th is a possibility, an attack on the US Capitol or other government buildings by an armed mob, with domestic terrorism being inflamed further by Donald Trump and his minions!

Elise Stefanik Sells Her Soul To Grab Third Ranking Position In House From Liz Cheney

New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has sold her soul to Donald Trump at the young age of 36, grabbing the third ranking House Republican leadership position from Liz Cheney.

Starting off as a moderate Republican, Stefanik has now proved she is a sycophant, bowing to the Fascist dictator, Donald Trump, who is destroying the Republican Party.

By all rights, Stefanik should lose her seat, as she has no conscience, and cannot fathom that Liz Cheney is totally accurate in her view of the January 6 Capitol Insurrection.

Instead, Stefanik has swallowed the “Big Lie”, that Donald Trump won the Presidential Election of 2020 over Joe Biden, when more than 60 legal cases, and the Supreme Court, proved otherwise!

Stefanik is a traitor to American values, and will go down in history as having backed a criminal conspiracy, while Cheney will go down in history as a “Profile in Courage”.

This has nothing to do with whether one agrees with Cheney on her conservative values, which this author disagrees with profusely, but simply standing for American democracy and the Constitution against an authoritarian, Fascist take over that is destroying the heritage of the Republican Party in history!
