At End Of First Year Of Second Separate Term, Donald Trump “47” Ranks Lower Than “45”, And Below James Buchanan And Andrew Johnson In Presidential Rankings!

America has had 45 Presidents, and Grover Cleveland and Donald Trump have had separate Presidential terms after being defeated, so therefore, Cleveland is both the 22nd and 24th President, and Trump is both the 45th and 47th President.

With nearly a year completed of Trump 47, it is clear to anyone who judges Presidential leadership that Donald Trump 47 is far worse than Trump 45, and clearly below both James Buchanan 15 and Andrew Johnson 17, the Presidents before and after Abraham Lincoln 16, with certainty.

Trump 45 has been both ranked above Buchanan and Johnson, and at times, below, but now there is no contest with Trump 47.

Trump 45 had some Cabinet and other advisers who were able, to some extent, control his urges, and prevent the worst policies imaginable, but Trump 47 has no such individuals who can tame his destructive and unstable desires and actions.

So Trump 47, added to Trump 45, is without any debate, the absolutely worse President in American history, no debate or doubts, if for no other reason than both Buchanan and Johnson served one term and all but six weeks of one term, respectively.

So many outrages and mind blowing statements and actions on a daily basis leave America in danger of autocracy being established in such a way that American democracy and the rule of law are in dire straits.

Any sane person who is not racist, misogynist, nativist, Islamophobic, or a sympathizer with Russia and other autocracies, can perceive anything decent or reasonable coming from Donald Trump 47.

His Cabinet Officers and other advisors are the most horrendous, corrupt, and obscene group ever created, and his administration is the most corrupt in every way imaginable, far more than Richard Nixon.

There are no perceivable redeeming qualities one can acknowledge, and the thought of another three years of this monstrosity, whether or not Donald Trump survives that long, is an absolute horror.

With Richard Nixon, the thought of Spiro Agnew as a possible successor was evaded, thankfully, and we had a decent alternative in Gerald Ford, but one cannot be optimistic about JD Vance, based on his actions and utterances as Vice President, that he would improve upon or abandon the policies of Donald Trump!

Trump’s Continued Attack On News Media A Dire Threat To The First Amendment!

Donald Trump has unleashed massive attacks against a free press, attacking the news media, in an attempt to control the news of what he is perpetrating daily, abuses of the Consitution and the rule of law!

He has worked to undermine cable media, wanting to see CNN sold to a “friendly” billionaire who would distort reality to flatter him.

He has worked to destroy the legacy of CBS, and its heroic figures of the past, including Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, and Dan Rather.

He has also undermined ABC News, and is constantly on the attack against NBC News and the newly organized MS NOW, formerly MSNBC.

But he has also succeeded in influencing the Washington Post, owmed by billionaire Jeff Bezos, turning the editorial policy toward right wing propaganda points, and leading to many long term and famed journalists at that newspaper being forced out or resigning and retiring on their own.

The New York Times is resisting and fighting Trump’s attempt to damage “the newspaper of record”, a battle that is essential.

Trump has gone on the attack against women journalists in a very misogynistic manner.

Local news media are also being influenced in a deleterious manner by Trump threats.

The battle for a free press cannot be lost, as doing so would make clear that American democracy is in danger of failing!

Trump’s War On “Knowledge Workers”: Scientists, Professors, Attorneys, Journalists, Librarians!

Another manifestation of the harm and danger that Donald Trump has brought upon America is his ongoing war on “Knowledge Workers”, the educated and intellectual experts in American society.

This includes such groups as:

Scientists and Medical Professionals
Professors and Teachers in all fields of Knowledge
Attorneys and other Legal Professionals
Journalists in Newspapers, Periodicals and Cable News
Librarians in Public Libraries and School Libraries

In his attack on these professional fields, Trump is undermining scientific and medical expertise, in so doing threatening public health.

Trump is also trying to rewrite the history of the American nation; transforming what people can read and study in the field of literature; and promoting a white Christianity as the only acceptable cultural alternative for the future.

The goal clearly is to control the minds and thoughts of the younger generations for the future, and to promote a narrow minded view of the world.

The resistance against this threat has been heroic, but the long term danger is still a dire threat to American democracy and the rule of law.

Magnificent Victory On All Fronts, And Repudiation Of Trump And MAGA!

American Democracy survives, as on Election Day 2025, there was a magnificent victory on all fronts by Democrats, everywhere one looked!

From the victory of a Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani as New York City Mayor, to a moderate centrist Democrat Abigail Spanberger in Virginia and Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey elected as Governors, to a 2-1 victory for the Proposition of reapportionment of House seats in California, and even the retention of three state Supreme Court Justices in Pennsylvania, Democrats revived after the tragedy of the Presidential Election of 2024.

The Democratic Party showed its diversity, with a Muslim NYC Mayor, and Women Governors with military background in Virginia and New Jersey!

With all of the disillusionment the Democrats have gone through this past year since Donald Trump was elected, the reality remains that the Democratic Party IS “the party of the people”, of all backgrounds, and its diversity is its strength!

The Republican Party has become a party of sycophants to an authoritarian Fascist dictator wannabe, who is mentally deficient, mean spirited, cruel, heartless, and promoting an attack on democracy and the rule of law.

The Republicans are primarily a party of those who promote racism, nativism, misogyny, antisemitism, Islamophobia, and homophobia, allowing extremist white supremacist Christianity to become its central message, even though Donald Trump is, most certainly, totally irreligious!

Trump Demolition Of East Wing Of White House Is Disgraceful Violation Of History Of “The People’s House”! :(

On the nine month anniversary of the Second Trump Presidency, America saw the beginning of a massive demolition of the White House, “The People’s House”, on orders of Donald Trump, who decided on his own that the East Wing should be demolished, so that a massive Ballroom could be built to entertain guests, mostly billionaires, in the future!

It is an atrocity to see the damage wrought on the first day, and to realize that the supposed “ghosts” in the White House have been disturbed, due to the maniacal egotism of a man, who is allowing a billionaire oligarchy to subsidize this project, as a reward for dramatic cutting in their taxes at the expense of health care coverage for millions of Americans!

With the damage wrought by Trump in the first nine months, in a multitude of ways, and topped off by the assault on “the People’s House” on this anniversary, one can only imagine and fear what further damage and destruction Trump will create in his intention to create a Fascist authoritarian regime, that destroys American Democracy and the Rule of Law!

The tens of millions who oppose this regime must continue to resist in every way imaginable, and never give up the fight, because it affects not just us alive today, but future generations aas well!

Chief Justice John Roberts: A Total Disappointment And Disaster!

Chief Justice John Roberts has been the leader of the Supreme Court now for 20 years, fourth longest service of the 17 Chief Justices since 1789.

Roberts came on the court as a “moderate conservative”, appointed by George W. Bush in 2005 right after Chief Justice William Rehnquist died, and the day before Roberts was to begin hearings to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, replacing the retiring Sandra Day O’Connor.

Fate would have it that due to the death of the Chief Justice, suddenly Roberts would be elevated to a special status of being the leader of the Court.

Roberts came across for many years as “reasonable”, including when he “saved” the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) in a court decision in 2013.

Roberts always spoke of the need for balance and reasonableness, but in reality, that was a false, misleading image of him.

Now, 20 years in, Roberts is revealed as a phony, who has moved the Court toward the extreme Right, and shocked people with statements in recent years that reveal just how Right Wing he is.

For instance, he has said that racism is no longer an issue, which is totally preposterous and outrageous.

He has led a Court that has brought Donald Trump to have awesome power and has undermined the separation of powers, and he has contributed to what is becoming an authoritarian and Fascist Presidency, undermining American democracy and the rule of law.

So Roberts will go down in history as a tragedy and disaster, and his reputation long term will be in tatters!

And now, the Voting Rights Act is being challenged in the Court, which could destroy the idea of representation for minorities, and making the possibility of a white dominated House of Representatives, that could make the Republican Party dominant into the future.

And if that happens in this Supreme Court term, the Roberts Court will have sealed its reputation of returning American to the time of JIM CROW, and white supremacy, which was overcome by the Civil Rights Movement and the massive positive contribution of President Lyndon B. Johnson and the “Great Society” in the 1960s!

Release Of Israeli Hostages A Major Accomplishment For Donald Trump, BUT What About Preserving Democracy In America?

The deal struck by President Donald Trump that has led today to the release of Israeli hostages is a major accomplishment, for which Trump deserves credit and praise.

However, Trump is over the top in his belief that a new world has emerged in the Middle East, as if this arrangement solves all of the issues involving the Palestinians and Israel, and the reality that Hamas has not been totally dissolved.

So the likelihood is for future warfare and conflict, and more bloodshed down the road, if not immediately.

This is a sad situation, but is a realistic assessment.

So while Trump can be praised for what he has done, and it has made him popular in Israel, the reality is that it does not make up for the total destruction of American democracy and the rule of law at home in America.

Trump has been engaged with his sycophants in the Cabinet, in the MAGA Republican Congress, and in the Supreme Court, in undermining the Bill of Rights.

It is clearly well along toward establishment of an authoritarian Fascist government, that is nativist, racist, misgonynist, homophobic, and imperialist oriented on the world stage, with his threats toward Latin America, Canada, and NATO, and his creating tensions around the world with his crazy tariff policies.

52 Years: From Nixon And Agnew To Trump And Vance!

Fifty two years ago, Vice President Spiro Agnew resigned under scandal, and ten months later, President Richard Nixon resigned in disgrace, abandoned by his own Republican Party in Congress.

Who would think that a half century later, we would have an outspoken, obnoxious, obsequious sycophant, JD Vance, with few qualifications to be President, being a heartbeat away from the White House, which has in Donald Trump a President far worse and more corrupt than Richard Nixon ever was!

And to top it off, the Republican Party in Congress is a lapdog, unwilling to challenge the President and Vice President, unlike how many of their party did so in the 1970s.

American democracy and the rule of law was under threat back then, and was saved by Gerald Ford and by opposition Democrats who worked together to overcome the worst elements of the Watergate Scandal.

Can we expect a similar situation in the present tense? At this moment, it seems as if we are witnessing the most dire threat to American democracy, since World War II and the Civil War, and it is hard to imagine we will come out of it as a nation based on the US Constitution, and just as we are to “celebrate” the 250th Anniversary of the American Republic and the Declaration Of Independence!

Hegseth, Trump Meeting With High Level Military A Totally Shocking Event, Beyond The Pale!

Two days after the meeting at Quantico, Virginia of President Donald Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth with hundreds of top Generals and Admirals, an unprecedented event in person of so many defense and security people in one location, the nation is reeling from the event.

Trump came across as showing clearcut evidence of massive physical and mental decline, more like a ranting, raving, embarrassing maniac than anything else.

One would think this was as if he was the leader of the Russian Federation, or of China, North Korea, Iran, Hungary, Turkey, Egypt, El Salvador, or other like minded dictatorships than the leader of the American Republic.

Hegseth came across as a cocky, arrogant, egomaniac, who demonstrated total racism, misogyny, homophobia, and clearly a Fascist oriented, incompetent womanizer with a major alcohol problem, and with zero qualifications to lead the nation’s defenses.

The Generals and Admirals at this shocking event stayed silent, as is required, rather than what Trump was asking, that they applaud him, and with a threat that any opposition expressed would lead to the end of theif careers.

But in the aftermath, retired military people communicated with many of these hundreds of military leaders, and there was a clearcut judgment that the gathered audience was stunned and had grim looks on their faces.

Since the military is supposed to be loyal to the Constitution and their oath of service to that document, not to any individual who happens to be President, one wonders whether elements of military leadership at some point might be ready to take action against any threat to the Constitution and rule of law, in some form.

The thought that this government, more Fascist and authoritarian oriented by the day, might spend the next three plus years further consolidating power, and denying basic human rights, makes one wonder what can or should be done about the dire threat to American democracy.

Will there be fair elections in 2026 and 2028, or will this authoritarianism suspend the heritage of free, fair, and regularly scheduled elections?

The future of American democracy and the rule of law may lie in what these military leaders decide is their duty as the threats grow of the loss of freedom for 330 million Americans!

Danger Of Charlie Kirk Becoming Martyr And Provoking Political Violence! :(

The unfortunate assassination of Charlie Kirk is leading to threats to various groups who he constantly attacked in his statements and appearances, with the financial support of billionaries who wish to control the future with their right wing extremism.

So the Democratic National Committee, various Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), and a multitude of others who were not in agreement with his extremist rhetoric, are now being theatened.

Charlie Kirk is becoming a martyr for so called “good Christians”, who are anything but that, but simply those exploiting his death to promote their agenda against the rights of women, racial minorities, immigrants from Latin America and Africa, gay and transgender people, Muslims, and even Jews (except in regards to the Gaza War).

Violence and intimidation are being utilized, and Donald Trump is talking about retribution and revenge, an excuse to continue his quest to promote authoritarian tyranny and destroy our American democracy and the rule of law.
