This represents the greatest divisiveness of our nation in probably the past hundred and forty years, and does not bode well for future cooperation in dealing with national problems, both domestic and foreign. Conflict, rather than consensus, is a very disturbing trend in our society!
I wonder how many who support Romney are really only doing so because he is not Black. I think it’s a sad thought to consider but one that is probably a lot more likly then so many people actually trusting what he says. Becuase I know quite a few Republicans who think Mitt Romney is slime and a good for nothing and are actually voting for Obama because of it.
Also, It might just be wishful thinking on my part but when Obama wins his second term on Tuesday I kind of feel as if some of this gridlock is going to disappear. I believe this because at that point they lost, they will have failed to stop him from reaching the level of success that he is due and has earned. They will want to increase their chances of getting one of their “candidates†into office in 2016 and will as such try to make themselves look better after it becomes apparent in this election that a majority of the American people do not approve of their lunacy and deluded ideas about what is right for the country. I also feel as if the President will be able to be a lot more aggressive with the Congress then he has been with a second term secured.
Wow, Ali, you are a supreme optimist! I wish I felt as optimistic, but if the GOP holds the House, which I believe they will, I predict more stalemate and gridlock, and a move to impeach the President on some flimsy grounds, that they will conjure up.
I hope I am wrong, but not very optimistic about progress, only about Obama winning and the Senate staying Democratic controlled.
LOL well we can only hope it gets better. I see no reason to constantly be thinking negatively but I also admit it’s likely that things will not change much. But I will be able to sleep better at night knowing I will not wake up the next morning to find out “President Romney†has started WW III.
I will say one thing for Mitt Romney and the Republicans they certinly have made me want to get invovled in politics to campagin against their kind.
IF the Republicans and Mitt Romney have made you, and others of your age group, motivated to get involved politically, then it is a great blessing for America!
I find it funny that the Christian voters are voting for the Mormon. My personal opinion, as you probably already know, is that religion should not be anywhere near government. But that was brought to my attention, never really thought of that, and found it amusing.
Wow I can’t believe 95% of African Americans are voting for Obama because he is black.
Actually, it is not just because Obama is black. The facts are that usually 85-90 percent of blacks vote Democratic regularly since the New Deal of FDR.
