200 Days Since Donald Trump Left Office, And Nine Months Since Joe Biden Declared President-Elect, And The Insurrection Continues!

Today marks 200 days since Donald Trump left office, and the Insurrection continues, as Republicans plot to hide the truth of January 6, 2021, and to do everything they can to fix future elections so that they can win, despite promoting policies and ideas that undermine American democracy!

Today also marks nine months since Joe Biden was declared the winner of the Presidential Election of 2020!

The Republican Party is also promoting anti science by ignoring the COVID 19 Pandemic and its growing hospitalization and death rate, even though they claim to be the party of Pro Life, which is proof of their hypocrisy!

Never have we had so many crazy, delusional, dangerous members of Congress, who spout forth conspiracy theories, and advocate racism, white supremacy, nativism, and xenophobia, while having no regard for the sufferings of millions of Americans who are in danger of being evicted from their homes, and their struggles to keep up with their student loan repayments.

Thank goodness for the good heart, compassion, and empathy of President Biden, who has extended the rent moratorium and student loan moratorium, while Republicans have no concern about these matters.

America is faced with a group of Republican Governors, most notably Ron DeSantis of Florida and Greg Abbott of Texas, but also others, who are conducting themselves as Fascist dictators, showing total recklessness in the midst of the COVID 19 Pandemic!

These two monstrous, arrogant leaders are both aiming for the possibility of being the Republican Presidential nominee in 2024, and going out of their way to play up to Donald Trump, with the hope that he will not run, or be able to run for President, and will endorse one or the other as the next candidate of a party now seen as a cult, not the traditional conservative party of the past.

The danger is that the COVID 19 Pandemic will lead to the hospitalization and death of many more Floridians and Texans, with the refusal of both governors, and others, to respect the Centers for Disease Control, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and federal guidelines of the Biden Administration, on vaccination and masking.

The three right wing cable news channels—Fox News Channel, One America News Network (OANN), and Newsmax—are involved in a competition to undermine the fight against COVID 19.

In effect, they are in the process of killing off many of their own crazy, clueless, ignorant loyalists!

The anti science, anti medicine channels are undermining public health and safety, and are being promoted by a vast majority of Republican members of Congress and many reckless, irresponsible state governors and legislators, including Ron DeSantis of Florida; Greg Abbott of Texas; and Kristi Noem of South Dakota, among others.

Social media, and in particular, Facebook, are also engaging in this disgraceful spreading of lies, myths, and conspiracy theories!

This is undermining the ability of the United States to move forward on the long list of problems the nation faces, with no sense of patriotism or loyalty to the nation, on the part of these treasonous, seditionist forces!

Six Month Anniversary Of President Joe Biden: A Positive Change And High Public Opinion Ratings!

Today, July 20, marks the six month Anniversary of the Joe Biden Presidency!

What a vastly different six months these have been, and Joe Biden’s public opinion ratings rank in the high 50s to low 60s, depending on which assessment is examined.

Many problems have arisen, as with any President who comes into office, but Biden is pushing ahead on infrastructure legislation, and wants a large “human infrastructure” bill, based on “reconciliation”, 50 Democratic votes and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema continue to present problems in trying to overcome the filibuster, and may prevent progress on voting rights, very sad indeed.

Foreign policy issues are rearing their ugly head, including new ones on Cuba and Haiti in just the last few weeks.

This along with the usual foreign policy challenges, with Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea.

Environmental progress has been outstanding, and while the unvaccinated remain a problem with the Delta Variant of COVID 19, and the unhelpful propaganda against vaccination by right wing media, it is still amazing how many Americans have already shown patriotism and common sense on this matter.

If only Joe Biden had the conditions of Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933-1936 and Lyndon B. Johnson from 1964-1966, he would have been able to accomplish much more, but still there is optimism, and the hope is for greater progress in the next six months!

The Insanity Of The South And Western Rural States Defying Common Sense And Science On Vaccines!

It is mind boggling that the rural states of the South and West are defying common sense and science on the subject of vaccines and the COVID 19 Pandemic!

These states are Republican states and very ‘Religious” states, at least in theory, but their population wallows in ignorance and hatred of science, education, facts, and truth!

The 13 lowest states in vaccinations are from Number 51 (including DC) down to 39 the following:

Alabama
Mississippi
Arkansas
Wyoming
Louisiana
Idaho
Georgia
Tennessee
West Virginia
Oklahoma
North Dakota
South Carolina
Missouri

Only 33 to 40 percent of the population in these states are fully vaccinated, as the Delta Variant is spreading like wildfire, endangering not only those states, but people all over the nation.

Only 20 states and DC have 50 percent or more of its population fully vaccinated, and they coincide with Democratic or “Blue” states, making this pandemic political, as if the rural South and West are striking out against modernity, urbanization, science, facts, and truth!

This “head in the sands” mentality is undermining the long term future and health of America!

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is presiding over more than 20 percent of new COVID 19 cases, with no concern about that reality.

And he is raising money for his 2022 Gubernatorial campaign by selling shirts that attack and ridicule Dr. Anthony Fauci on his COVID 19 Pandemic leadership!

His lack of respect for knowledge and science, and his willingness to sacrifice public health and safety is shocking!

Clearly, he is acting like a Fascist authoritarian, with no concern except the stroking of his massive ego, and willing to dictate to local governments in a way that endangers all Floridians!

The horrors of Donald Trump keep growing with new revelations, including:

Trump was on the brink in June 2020 of using the Insurrection Act of 1807, allowing for martial law.

Trump was on the brink of having COVID 19 patients sent to Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba.

Trump allies were involved in an attempt to run a Joe Biden campaign bus off the road in central Texas in late October.

Trump was investigating journalists through their emails and phone logs, who had criticized him, and had plans to prosecute them.

Trump wanted to prosecute Congressmen Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell of California for their work on the House Judiciary Committee in investigating Trump.

Trump looked at the Justice Department as his private law firm and defender, not the independent department it is supposed to be.

Trump was nonchalant about the January 6 Capitol Insurrection, and was clearly enjoying mayhem, and did not take any action to end it for four hours, while Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi were in danger, and realize they were the top two in the line of Presidential succession after Trump.

Many new books and revelations are coming out, and the Trump Organization, and potentially Trump and his children face the likelihood of indictment in New York City, New York State, Washington DC, and Georgia, on financial charges, and the promotion of the “Big Lie”, trying to change the election results that saw Joe Biden become President.

He is still promoting conspiracy theories, specifically in Arizona and Georgia, undermining belief that elections are being administered fairly, and trying to change the future election system in many states, undermining faith in American democracy!

Dr. Anthony Fauci has been a true hero and treasure in this COVID 19 Pandemic, in his role as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Chief Medical Advisor to President Biden, after having been ignored and rebuked much of the time by former President Donald Trump.

If Trump had followed the advice of Fauci in 2020, we would not today have reached the horrifying figure of 600,000 dead from COVID 19!

Trump was responsible for the greatest loss of life in one year in American history, and yet Republicans, many of them anti vaccinators and anti maskers, have the gall to attack Fauci, and call for his resignation.

Right Wing Media, including Fox News Channel, and Tucker Carlson, and others, have joined in the demand for resignation of Fauci!

Just look at who is calling for this—Marjorie Taylor Greene, Jim Jordan, Kevin McCarthy, Rand Paul, Tom Cotton, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and many others, all who are well known to be anti science and anti truth!

He is the first President since Herbert Hoover to lose the Presidency, the House of Representatives, and the US Senate.

He is the first President to lose hundreds of thousands of Americans to a pandemic since Woodrow Wilson a century ago.

He is the first President to lose the popular vote twice since Benjamin Harrison in the Gilded Age, and by massive margins unlike Harrison.

He is the first President to boycott his successor’s inauguration since Andrew Johnson a century and a half ago.

He is the first President ever elected with the help and collaboration of a foreign government, the Russian Federation.

He is the first President ever to fail to gain a majority popular vote approval rating since polling began in the late 1930s.

He is the first President to be impeached twice in the same term of office.

He is the first President ever to have a member of their own party vote for conviction in an impeachment trial, in both trials.

He is the first President ever to refuse to concede defeat.

He is the first President ever to insure a peaceful transfer of power.

He is the first President ever to actively incite a terrorist attack against his own government.

He is the first President in the Social Media age to be banned by Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram from posting, because he incites right wing domestic terrorism.

Is The COVID 19 Pandemic Effectively Over, Or Is Caution Still Needed?

The Centers For Disease Control and Prevention Director, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, and President Joe Biden made the surprise announcement on Thursday, that all Americans who had been vaccinated against the COVID 19 Pandemic, no longer needed to wear masks and social distance in public and in private.

It stunned many, as many Americans are not yet vaccinated, and many do not plan to be vaccinated, so while an emotional moment, one wondered whether the announcement was a wise move.

Many businesses and companies are choosing to continue a mask mandate, and it is still required in circumstances of public transportation, including planes, buses, and trains.

But the concern is that the pandemic may come roaring back, so it is unclear whether the sudden statement may be reckless, but in any case, anyone can still use masks, but it does seem as no longer can it be required or mandated.

It will certainly be great for Americans to get back to normal social interactions, as it has nearly 15 months of this health crisis!
