Rand Paul Kentucky

Imagine That: Rand Paul Is Correct On Two Matters!

This author and blogger has never been a fan of Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, who, like his father, former Congressman Ron Paul of Texas, is a libertarian.

But suddenly, and amazingly, one has to say that Rand Paul is totally correct on two pending matters!

Paul has come out to condemn use of the military in the deportation of immigrants, as going against the Constitution, as it is the job of civilian law enforcement to deal with such an issue!

Paul also denounced the pending imposing of 25 percent tariffs on Canada and Mexico, and 10 percent tariffs on China, that has been announced by Donald Trump.

Correctly, Paul says it undermines our relations under the USMCA trade agreements with Canada and Mexico, and promotes increased tensions with China, and will cause massive inflation of prices of food, gas, housing, and other parts of the economy.

The people who voted for Trump out of stupidity and ignorance on the issue of inflation will now face, as we all will, a major jump in the inflationary spiral.

This will, hopefully, at least, disillusion those voters and transform them back to support of Democrats in the future, but only after causing mass suffering among the middle class and the poor, while the wealthy gain massive tax cuts, that will add trillions to the national debt!

The Vice Presidential Sweepstakes For Donald Trump And RFK Jr—No Match For Kamala Harris!

The Vice Presidency is a heartbeat away from the Presidency, and is not to be taken lightly!

But it seems very certain that both Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. are going to make a mockery of the office, only making it very clear how well qualified Kamala Harris is to take the Presidency, if the necessity arrives!

Supposedly, Trump’s VP list includes in no special order:

Marjorie Taylor Greene, Congresswoman from Georgia
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, former Press Secretary to Donald Trump, and Arkansas Governor
KellyAnne Conway, former counselor to Donald Trump
Tulsi Gabbard, former Democratic Congresswoman from Hawaii and Presidential candidate in 2020
Kristi Noem, South Dakota Governor
Byron Donalds, Florida Congressman
Vivek Ramaswamy, 2024 Republican Presidential contender and entrepreneur
Tim Scott, Senator from South Carolina

Supposedly, RFK Jr’s list includes in no special order:

Aaron Rodgers, pro football quarterback for NY Jets
Jesse Ventura, former Minnesota Governor and retired professional Wrestler
Tulsi Gabbard, former Democratic Congresswoman from Hawaii and Presidential candidate in 2020
Rand Paul, Republican Senator from Kentucky
Andrew Yang, former Democratic Presidential contender
Tony Robbins, motivational speaker
Mike Rowe, television host and narrator

What a horrendous group all of these “contenders” are, with Tim Scott and Jesse Ventura being the “best” of a bad group of both, and neither matching Kamala Harris in quality and experience!

Only One Republican Senator And Many Republican Governors In Presidential Race Of 2024!

With the Presidential Election campaign beginning with the announcement of numerous Republicans having declared their candidacy or about to announce, an odd point to make is that ONLY one Republican Senator, Tim Scott of South Carolina, has announced his candidacy, and it is highly unlikely any other Republican Senators will join the fray.

Instead, the bulk of candidates are those who have served as Governors in the past or the present.

This includes Ron DeSantis (Florida), Nikki Haley (South Carolina), Mike Pence (Indiana), Asa Hutchinson (Arkansas), Doug Burgum (North Dakota), Kristi Noem (South Dakota), Chris Christie (New Jersey), Chris Sununu (New Hampshire), Glenn Youngkin (Virginia), and Greg Abbott (Texas).

In 2016, the following US Senators ran for the Republican Presidential nomination: Ted Cruz (Texas), Marco Rubio (Florida), Rand Paul (Kentucky), Rick Santorum (Pennsylvania), and Lindsey Graham (South Carolina). All except Santorum are still in the Senate, but not choosing to run this cycle!

There are also other Republican Senators rumored to have Presidential ambitions, including Rick Scott (Florida), Josh Hawley (Missouri), and Tom Cotton (Arkansas), but they have chosen to stay out of the race.
