MAGA Republicans And Other Republicans Growing In Opposing Iran War!

In just 2 weeks, Donald Trump has managed to turn prominent MAGA Republicans and other Republicans against his Iran War.

The list is growing:

Tucker Carlson
Steve Bannon
Megyn Kelly
Joe Rogan
Ann Coulter
Marjorie Taylor Greene
Nick Fuentes
Thomas Massie
Erik Prince
Rand Paul

and counting!

And Democrats have won overwhelmingly in special elections and off year elections in the 14 months Donald Trump has been President in his second term.

With the split in his party, which is growing, and overwhelming Democratic opposition, with the one exception of Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania at this point, the Republicans are on the road to a massive defeat in both houses of Congress, particularly if the Iran War continues.

The financial costs of the war, along with the effects on gasoline and oil prices, and the loss of troops and the injuries suffered by our troops, which are escalating, are all negatives for Donald Trump and his party!

No wonder Donald Trump is trying to fix the midterm elections by forcing the passage of the proposed SAVE Act, which would disenfranchise millions of Americans, an action which must be prevented!

Each state is supposed to run its own elections, without interference by the federal government and it cannot be allowed that the situation is fixed to distort reality!

Emergence Of Anti Iran War MAGA Republicans Could Affect Midterm Elections Of 2026, And Presidential Election Of 2028!

Now that the United States is in Week Two of the Iran War, and with the son of the late Ayatollah being annointed his successor, it seems clear that America is on the road to a long, massive, expensive, disastrous intervention in the Middle East, without any certainty of success, similar to the Iraq War and the Afghanistan War.

And opposition is starting to emerge, from many so called MAGA Republicans, against the military intervention, some of it openly, and some of it behind the scenes.

Openly critical individuals this early include:

Tucker Carlson
Steve Bannon
Marjorie Taylor Greene, former Congresswoman from Georgia
Thomas Massie, Congressman from Kentucky
Rand Paul, Senator from Kentucky

Behind the scenes, based on past views about military intervention, and support of “isolationism” expressed, would include the following:

Vice President JD Vance
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard

The latter two are being very quiet at this point, but their past record of viewpoints clashes with what Donald Trump, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and apparently, Secretary of State Marco Rubio are promoting.

So there could be a battle brewing for the future of the Republican Party, based on what happens in the midterms, and as the Republican Party starts to look at its future direction.

It is hard to imagine Vance openly breaking with his party and his “boss”, the President of the United States, but it is perceived by many that had Vice President Kamala Harris expressed more differences with her “boss”, Joe Biden, possibly, the result in the Presidential Election of 2024 might have been different.

If Vance was to “break” with Trump, he still would be Vice President, but it would encourage Marco Rubio, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida, and others to challenge him for the Presidential nomination in 2028.

Of course, IF Vance became President by succession, and therefore, would be a sitting President, it would be much more difficult for a rebellion by MAGA Republicans to succeed against him.

Most certainly, the future of the Republican Party with the upcoming Presidential Election of 2028, is very much a fluid situation, and very difficult to project what will occur down the road!

Complete Reversal On Foreign Wars By Trump, Vance, Tulsi Gabbard And Others, Infuriating MAGA Republicans!

In a time when America is at war with Iran, it has become clear that Donald Trump has completely reversed his earlier “isolationist” view on foreign policy and engaging in wars, which was a major part of his appeal in the Presidential Election of 2024.

Not only has Trump reversed, but Vice President JD Vance made clear his similar isolationist views while in the Senate from Ohio in 2023.

Also, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, formerly a Democratic Congresswoman from Hawaii, expressed similar views when a candidate for the Democratic Presidential nomination for the Presidential Election of 2020.

This reality has alienated many MAGA Republicans, including former Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon, both controversial commentators of right wing ideology.

Whether this will have an effect among MAGA Republican voters in the Midterm Elections of 2026 and the Presidential Election of 2028 is unpredictable.

Major Political Split Emerging Regarding US-Israel War On Iran

The decision of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu to wage war on Iran is causing a major political split.

The fact that Trump and his Cabinet did not consult with Congress up front and ask for backing through the War Powers Act of 1973;

that Trump has lied about the so called “imminent” threat Iran presented to American national security;

that Trump and his Cabinet chose not to be interviewed by news media this weekend after the first day of military action;

that Trump has totally reversed his former stand against getting involved in military interventions as a critic of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars in the past;

that anger is rising among the general public, as early polls show only 25 percent of those polled support the intervention;

that Trump seemed not to have much empathy about the loss of life of military personnel, when he personally avoided military service by claiming “bone spurs”;

all this and more is creating a major political crisis that is unlikely to go away anytime soon, and the prospect of greatly increased oil prices as a result of the widening Middle East War, with other nations in the area being drawn into it, adds to the complicated crisis.

Already, within his party, Trump has angered Kentucky Senator Rand Paul; Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie; former Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene who was a MAGA supporter, and also, commentator Tucker Carlson, and this is just the beginning, in less than 48 hours after the war has begun.

At the same time, while most Democrats are opposed to the war, some are supportive, causing a split in that political party as well, including

Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania
Congressman Jared Moskowitz of Florida
Congressman Tom Suozzi of New York
Congressman Greg Landsman of Ohio
Congressman Henry Cuellar of Texas

The fact that some Democrats are supportive of the war means when and if a War Powers Resolution comes up for a vote, it could undermine the ability to gain a majority of support for such action.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth made clear on Monday morning, the third day of the war, that there would be no holding back on the war effort, creating a likely constitutional crisis as Donald Trump and company pursue their goals in league with Israel, despite the fact that diplomacy was in process, and had not been given a full chance to work.

So the image of Donald Trump, “The Dove”, which caused many MAGA Republicans in the voting population to support him in 2024, is in tatters.

A major political division is likely to grow wider as the war continues, without any assurance of avoiding disarray in an area of the world notable for instability.

That only complicates the issue of what will happen politically in the Midterm Elections of 2026 and the Presidential Election of 2028.

And the announcement by Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom that the British government is not in support of the war, and believe in a negotiated settlement, is a stunning blow to the mission pursued by Trump and Netanyahu. It is highly unusual, that our closest ally in Europe would come out openly in the House of Commons and criticize and refuse support of the war effort.

Donald Trump has made clear in his press conference that there is the possibility of ground troops being sent into combat in the Middle East if that is seen as necessary.

So it seems potentially possible that America could be engaging in what will become a major long term conflict, similar to what occurred in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq, further dividing and complicating American politics in the near term and long term!

Trump Mistreatment Of “Loyal” Women Politicians

It should be no surprise that Donald Trump mistreats “loyal” women politicians, just as he has spent his life searching out women, mostly underage, to “conquer”!

Two recent examples are proof that loyalty to Trump is a one way street.

Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has discovered that Trump has condemned her, due to her persistence to expose the Epstein files, clearly because Trump is all over the files, engaged in exploitation of young women over the past three plus decades.

So Trump has called Greene a “traitor”, and made clear he would not back her in the future for political office, and she has had death threats as a result, convincing her to end her five years House of Representatives career next month. She is totally disillusioned, as she was a true MAGA supporter.

Also, New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, who was a moderate Republican in her early years in Congress, changed her views to total support of Trump, alienating many in her ambition to advance herself politically, by transforming her whole persona.

But then, after Trump offered her the Ambassadorship to the United Nation, abruptly he removed the offer, and Stefanik was back in Congress, but had decided to run for New York Governor, hopefully with support of Trump.

But Trump refused to support Stefanik against the Long Island Republican Nassau County Executive, Bruce Blakeman, and as a result, Stefanik withdrew her campaign for Governor, and is retiring from Congress at the end of her term in 2026.

So both “ambitious” women sacrificed for Trump, and were thrown to the side of the road symbolically.

Even with Trump’s women cabinet members, he insists and gains their total loyalty, but one can be sure they would be “disposed of”, if any problems arise.

So while right now, Kristi Noem, Pam Bondi,Tulsi Gabbard, Brooke Rollins, and other women are “part of the team”, their long term status is doubtful!

Female Republican Revolt Against Speaker Of The House Mike Johnson!

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson is confronted with a revolt by Republican women in the House of Representatives.

Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, who has broken with Trump and is leaving Congress after five years in early January, has also been highly critical of the leadership of Johnson.

But also, Nancy Mace of South Carolina, who is leaving the House to run for Governor of her state, has also bitterly complained that Johnson is ignoring women Republicans in how he operates the House of Representatives.

And additionally, Elise Stefanik of New York, who is also leaving the House to run for Governor of her state, has been highly critical of the way Johnson operates.

The fact that Greene is leaving next month, and Mace and Stefanik, possibly before the end of the two year House term as they compete for the Governorships of their states, could endanger Republican control of the House before the elections in 2026, possibly putting Democratic Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries in the Speakership sometime in 2026.

This anger could also affect how women look at the Republican leadership in the House of Representatives, and conceivably, sway many women to vote against the Republican Party in House and Senate races in 2026 and beyond!

Speaker Of The House Mike Johnson May Lose Leadership During Unproductive 119th Congress!

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson of Louisiana has been the leader of the House of Representatives (119th Congress) now for two years and one month, but his time as Speaker seems assured to be limited, and to end soon.

His House majority is becoming smaller, and after the announced resignation of Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, to take place in January, there are strong hints that some more House Republicans, sensing doom in the Midterm Congressional Elections of 2026, may opt out before then, leaving vacancies.

The 119th Congress already stands out as the worst, least productive Congress, possibly going back to the early 1930s, and the 71st and 72nd Congresses (1929-1933), as the Great Depression overtook the nation under Herbert Hoover!

That led to Democratic dominance for the next six decades from 1932-1994, and helped to bring about the New Deal of Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Great Society of Lyndon B. Johnson.

If more House Republicans decide to take an early exit, suddenly, the House of Representatives could fall into the control of the Democrats, dislodge Johnson, and make Hakeem Jeffries Speaker of the House.

Even if that does not occur, there is a lot of discontent in the Republican Party with Johnson, who is seen as having “caved in”, being a sycophant and obsequious to the demands of President Donald Trump, and not concerned himself enough with pleasing his own House majority.

Hard to believe, but many think of Johnson as the worst Republican Speaker of modern times, which is saying a lot, when one considers his competition is Kevin McCarthy, his direct predecessor; Paul Ryan, who preceded McCarthy; John Boehner, who preceded Ryan, and even Dennis Hastert, the longest serving Speaker from 1999-2007, who ended up in federal prison on charges of sexual abuse of teenage boys.

By comparison, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (2007-2011, 2019-2023) shines as a brilliant House leader, regarded as one of the top few of all time, and now choosing to retire at the end of the 119th Congress at the end of 2026!

Republican Party Splintering As Doubts About Keeping Majority In Congress Escalates!

The sudden resignation of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greeene of Georgia from the House of Representatives, and her denunciation of Donald Trump, and the threats from MAGA supporters after Trump denounced her, is causing a split in the Republican Party.

It is leading to strong rumors that other Republicans in the House of Representatives are planning to announce their retirement, as it seems clear that Donald Trump has no regard for them and their needs.

So many have bowed down to Trump consistently, while economic problems multiply, and foreign policy issues cause a massive split among many officeholders in the party.

Midterm elections ordinarily see a major swing to the party NOT in the White House, and Democrats, despite their own internal turmoil, are more likely now than ever after the recent elections in Virginia, New Jersey, California, and local races in several states, including Pennsylvania, to regain control of the House of Representatives in the Midterm Elections of 2026.

Additionally, the possibility of the US Senate switching to Democratic control is growing, although it will be a tough battle.

Speculation Begins About Successor To Donald Trump Among MAGA Republicans, As His “Lame Duck” Status Has Begun!

One year since the Presidential Election of 2024, and Donald Trump is facing defeats, challenges, losses, and is no longer seen as invulnerable.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, a “true believer”, has denounced Trump for abandoning many of the ideas that he promoted in the campaign, and she is not the only one who is starting to rebel against the concept that Donald Trump is invulnerable.

And rumors and gossip is spreading about who will succeed Trump, as the term “lame duck” has started to permeate political discussions.

Of course, Vice President JD Vance is the theoretical successor, and might end up in the White House, as Donald Trump continues to deteriorate mentally, and as his unpredictable behavior multiplies.

But even if that happens, it is not a guarantee that Vance would be the heir of MAGA Republicans, as there are too many ambitious people to claim that Vance is a shoo in for 2028.

Among those who seem likely to compete are:

Eric Trump, the President’s younger son from his first marriage

Secretary of State Marco Rubio

Senator Ted Cruz of Texas

Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida

Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky

But there are others as well, including

Governor Glenn Youngkin of Virginia

Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas

Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri

Epstein Congressional Resolution Opposed By All But Four Republicans, And Termed A “Hoax” By Donald Trump, Absolutely Stunning!

It is stunning and shocking the the House resolution proposed by Kentucky Republican Congressman Thomas Massie, to have a complete accounting of all government records on the Epstein Scandal, has been unable to gain the backing of more than three other Republicans—Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Lauren Boebert of Colorado, and Nancy Mace of South Carolina–at this moment of time.

A majority of the House of Representatives is needed to force the issue, but it is two votes short, and no other Republicans seem ready to back the resolution, due to Donald Trump threatening his party members, calling taking such action as “hostile”, and saying the whole Epstein investigation is a Democratic “hoax”.

And this, despite survivors holding a press conference last week to reveal the horrors of what they went through, and wanting accountability and transparency!

Trump is opposed to any action, or revelations, clearly, because he clearly personally engaged in illicit sex with underage girls and young women, in league with Jeffrey Epstein.

The Republican Party in Congress is a total disgrace, and should be drummed out of office in the midterms in 2026 and in 2028, but sadly, many Americans, with their racism, misogyny, nativism, and ignorance of reality, are likely to continue backing Donald Trump and his party, as they destroy American democracy and the rule of law!

Hopefully, however, Marjorie Taylor Greene has threatened to reveal names, and if she does, she will have done one good thing, while otherwise, she has been a total nightmare in the House of Representatives with her various lunatic activities and behavior!
