Donald Trump Likely Soon To Be Indicted In Three Jurisdictions!

It now seems clear that former President Donald Trump will soon be indicted in Georgia for interfering in the vote count in that state in the Presidential Election of 2020.

It also seems clear that in New York, the case against Trump on the payments to “Stormy Daniels” to cover up the affair Trump had with her, but which he wished to hide due to his Presidential campaign, is also coming to a head very soon.

And the federal case against Trump for the January 6 Insurrection and the hiding of government documents at Mar A Lago also is on its way to another indictment.

These indictments will come in the midst of the Presidential campaign of 2024, and should derail Trump from being able to run.

If only the 14th Amendment, Section 3, designed originally to deal with the rebellion of the Confederate States of America, were to be utilized, Donald Trump would be unable to run for President, even without any indictments or trials.

But sadly, the likelihood of such action by a divided Congress, with so many Republicans kowtowing to Donald Trump, prevents such action, so the threat of Donald Trump is very real and dangerous to national security, as he is the leader of domestic terrorist forces!

21 House Republicans Are Effectively “Terrorists” Preventing House Of Representatives From Governing!

After three days and ten ballots and counting as I write this entry, the House of Representatives is still not able to move ahead and begin its responsibilities to the nation!

As things now stand, it seems likely that this chaos and disaster will be at least the 5th longest Speaker battle, only surpassed in 1819 (22 ballots); 1859 (44 ballots); 1849 (63 ballots); and 1855 (133 ballots)!

This is due to 21 Republicans refusing to support their Caucus leader, Kevin McCarthy of California, who “sold his soul” to Donald Trump after the January 6, 2021 US Capitol Insurrection!

These 21 Republicans are, effectively, “terrorists” who want to have the power to cripple the House of Representatives on a daily basis, with the idea that if even one member objects to anything McCarthy might do as Speaker, that a vote could be taken to oust him from the leadership of the chamber!

This is pure insanity, and it is time for Kevin McCarthy to refuse to do so, and ultimately, to withdraw from the possibility of being Speaker, in order to move the House of Representatives forward!

But, whoever else might wish to be Speaker, must NOT give in, either, to these seditionists and traitors!

So it is time for the more reasonable, more moderate, and more rational small band of House Republicans to agree to one of the following alternatives:

As this author and blogger suggested yesterday, back a former member of the chamber, such as Liz Cheney of Wyoming, Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, Justin Amash of Michigan, Fred Upton of Michigan, or John Kasich of Ohio, to be the Speaker, with the support of the Democratic minority, and refuse to agree to any demands that limit the Speaker’s ability to lead the chamber!

OR have a small band of these moderate Republicans agree to support Hakeem Jeffries of New York, the Democratic Minority Leader, in this crisis and arrange for a truly bipartisan House of Representatives!

These are the only choices now, and national security and stability are at stake, and these 21 members should be denied any committee memberships, and possible action to expel them from the House of Representatives should be under consideration!

No more MR NICE GUY, but rather tough action against members who have no interest in anything but their own egos!

With the second anniversary of the January 6 attacks coming tomorrow, one has to worry about a sudden attack by domestic terrorists as two years ago, or a foreign attack, with our international reputation as a functioning democracy in tatters right now!

Anniversary Of Benedict Arnold’s Treason Brings Up Donald Trump’s Treason!

In late September 1780, General Benedict Arnold committed treason, plotting with the British enemy to hand over West Point, New York, the future Military Academy, and about 10,000 American soldiers to the British.

If the treason had succeeded, it would have ended the American Revolution, and the fight for American Independence.

Since the time of Benedict Arnold, there have been others who have been considered traitors to America.

This would include the leaders of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War, including, most notably, Confederate President Jefferson Davis and Confederate Vice President Alexander Stephens, along with leading Confederate Generals such as Robert E. Lee and others.

There have been others who conspired against American interests, including former Vice President Aaron Burr, after leaving the Vice Presidency in 1805, and those who consorted with Nazi Germany, including Henry Ford and Charles Lindbergh; and those who consorted with the Soviet Union over the 75 years of that nation’s existence.

But now, we have a much more serious threat, in a former President, Donald Trump, who has consorted with dictators, including most notably Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation, and who inspired the January 6, 2021 Insurrection at the US Capitol. And Trump illegally took national security documents to his Mar A Lago estate, and there are still questions as to whether other documents might be found at his other estates in New Jersey, Trump Tower in New York City, and elsewhere and whether he may have shared and sold national security details to Putin and others.

So many have stated that Benedict Arnold has been succeeded by “Benedict Donald”, who is seen as a “clear and present danger” to American national security and American democracy!

Joe Biden Becomes A Wartime President, Will Change The Equation On His Presidency!

Sadly, but unavoidably, Joe Biden has become a wartime President, which will change the equation on his Presidency.

In the midst of so many issues and controversies facing the 46th President, the issue of foreign policy and war has reared its ugly head.

Joe Biden and NATO must meet the Russian Federation threat of Vladimir Putin, with his invasion of Ukraine, before it becomes a further invasion of NATO nations, such as Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, or Poland.

This situation will have a dramatic effect on so many areas, beyond international affairs, as it is likely to have a deleterious effect on the economy, and will likely cause new debate about the old isolationist arguments of the past.

The danger of a real third World War is omnipresent, and the national security of America, as well as their NATO partners, is under threat.

And sadly, the conservative right wing is amazingly pro Russian, mind boggling to have Fox News Channel and its despicable talk show hosts embracing Putin, and showing no concern over the future of Ukraine.

So the Republican Party faces a crossroads on this matter, as to whether they are prepared to embrace this extremist viewpoint favoring Russia.

It will be a major factor in the politics of 2022 and 2024!

The Republican Party Has Largely Gone Pro Russian, Complete Reversal Of History Since Joseph McCarthy!

In the Cold War years from 1945-1991, the Republican Party stood out for being anti Soviet Union, and for good reason, as that nation represented a threat to American national security and the stability of Europe, and a threat through their association with Fidel Castro’s Cuba.

The Republican Party also was captive to McCarthyism—the Red Scare of the 1950s under Senator Joseph McCarthy of Wisconsin—labeling liberals and progressives as if they were Communists allied with the Soviet Union. In that regard, they were reprehensible!

But who could imagine that Republicans who were once anti Communist, and also McCarthyites who ruined people’s lives with accusations that were unfounded, would over the 75 years since World War II, suddenly in large numbers become apologists for the Russian Federation and Vladimir Putin?

Who would think they would sit back and allow Donald Trump to flirt with Putin, including helping him win a false election through Russian interference in 2016?

Who would think Fox News Channel and its anchors, including Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, and others, would give support to Putin and Russia as they threaten Ukraine and the stability of Europe in the present international crisis, which can be regarded as the greatest threat to world peace since the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962?

Eighty Years Since “The Day Of Infamy”–Pearl Harbor Attack In 1941!

Today, December 7, marks 80 years since “The Day of Infamy”, the attack by Imperial Japan on the US Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, which ushered America into World War II, and the beginning of world leadership for the United States!

There are only a small percentage of veterans who were in Hawaii at that time still alive, and overall, a small percentage of Americans in the military eighty years ago who are still alive, as one would have to be, at the minimum, 98 years of age or older today!

Pearl Harbor remains one of the three worst moments of threat to American national security, joined much later by the Al Qaeda attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, and then by the Donald Trump incited mob attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021!

In the long run, the January 6 attack will be seen as the greatest threat ever, as it was domestic terrorism, NOT foreign terrorism, and Japan and Al Qaeda did not, in the long run, remain a “clear and present danger” as domestic terrorism remains such for the future of American democracy!

And only January 6 represented a President conspiring against his own nation, unlike Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1941 and George W. Bush in 2001!

Donald Trump Is Inciting Violence, And Is A “Clear And Present Danger”, Who Needs To Be Prosecuted!

Former President Donald Trump is openly inciting violence and domestic terrorism, causing threats against even members of the Republican Party who have the “gall” to have voted for an infrastructure bill that helps the nation, and the people in all congressional districts and states.

Trump is totally out of control, and the one third of Americans who are “brainwashed” to follow him, as if he is a cult leader, have become a serious threat to the stability and security of America.

Trump needs to be prosecuted as a “clear and present danger” to the party, to Congress, and to all sane Americans, who now have to fear domestic terrorists daily.

There is a serious issue with mentally ill, unstable people being a threat to law abiding Americans, and Trump is at their leadership, very troubling!

Biden-Putin Summit Coming Tomorrow: Major Issues

Tomorrow, in Geneva, Switzerland, President Joe Biden meets Russian President Vladimir Putin.

There are many issues to be addressed by Biden to Putin, who Biden has called a “killer”.

Among them:

The Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014, and further incursions beyond Crimean area, ongoing, and the threat to other former Soviet republics.

The Ransomware attacks by Russians, which have affected many aspects of the American economy and security.

The arrest and imprisonment of Alexei Navalny, and the general crackdown on human rights in Russia under Putin.

The Russian intervention in the Presidential Election of 2016 in favor of Donald Trump, and their attempt to affect the Presidential Election of 2020, including support of the US Capitol Insurrection on January 6, 2021, just reasserted by Putin before the summit meeting tomorrow.

America Became Part Of The World This Week In 1917!

America became part of the world this week in 1917, when President Woodrow Wilson went to Congress on April 2, 1917, and asked for a Congressional Declaration of War against Imperial Germany, the Austro Hungarian Empire, and the Turkish Empire, putting us into “the Great War”, later called the World War, and after entrance into World War II, termed World War I.

Although America went back into isolationism in the 1920s and 1930s, the nation learned that it was a false decision, and since World War II, we have recognized that we are part of the world, and cannot ignore what is going on outside America, as it can and has threatened American national security.

President Joe Biden faces many foreign policy challenges, most significantly with China, Russia, North Korea and Iran, but with many other authoritarian nations that also undermine America’s basic values.

While Biden wishes to deal with the many domestic challenges, he will not be able to ignore the many problems other nations pose for the United States!

Further Proof That Trump Was Russian Agent, Provided In Report Of New Director Of National Intelligence!

The new Director of National Intelligence, Avril Haines, has submitted a public report that proves Donald Trump was a Russian agent, and has been connected with the Russian government efforts to undermine American national security since the 1980s.

The report also shows that Vladimir Putin not only engaged in interference with the 2016 Presidential election, but also tried, but failed, to influence the 2020 Presidential election, and undermine Joe Biden’s campaign.

And Joe Biden has now said, since he knows Vladimir Putin from the Obama years and earlier, that he had, years ago, told Putin in person that he thought Putin did not have a soul, and Putin had said that they therefore understood each other.

This Biden comment to Putin came after George W. Bush had stated his belief that Putin DID have a soul, and it shows that Republicans, including Bush in his naivete, and Trump in his evil power grabbing efforts, had misjudged and been fooled by the Russian government.

The same cannot be said about Barack Obama in his Presidential years, and clearly, we now have a President in Joe Biden, who will know much better how to deal with the Russian leader and government.

And America will be safer for that, and anyone who thinks the Republican Party is “better” on foreign policy and national security needs to rethink their assumptions!
