PEPFAR, George W. Bush’s Major Achievement, Decimated By Donald Trump Cuts In Aid And Support Of USAID (US Agency For International Development)!

President George W. Bush had many negatives while in office, including Hurricane Katrina, the drawn out wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the onset of the Great Recession.

But one major accomplishment was the establishment of PEPFAR (President’s Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief), begun by executive order in 2003, and had provided cumulative funding of $120 Billion by 2024, for HIV/AIDS treatment, prevention, and research in those 21 years. This was the largest commitment of any nation in history focused on a single disease, and by late 2025, had saved more than 26 million lives, and prevented 7.8 million infants from acquiring HIV at birth.

But in a dastardly act, Donald Trump’s administration has phased out funding for PEPFAR, causing unnecessary deaths, and demonstrating lack of concern for people most affected, particularly in Africa, most of them poverty stricken.

USAID (US Agency For International Development) has been decimated, the work of people like Russell Vought and Stephen Miller, who have no concern about saving lives, while being extremely outspoken against abortion. They lack ethics, morals, and basic common decency.

So called White Christian Nationalists also have no concern, as their racism and nativism reigns supreme, a terrible tragedy for the long range legacy of George W. Bush, who had decent intentions and concerns now being thrown by the wayside!

America Has The Most Corrupt And Abusive Presidency In Its 250 Year History, Undermining The Celebration Of The Semiquincentennial

Tomorrow, July 4, is the 250th (Semiquincentennial) Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, establishing a Republic and condemning Monarchy.

Now, tragically, America and the world face the most corrupt, unethical, immoral, and abusive Presidency in its history, with the threats well established of the damages and danger Donald Trump and his sycophants have brought to undermine American domestic and foreign policy.

The revelation of Trump’s unprecedented enrichment as President, more than $2 billion in the first year of his second term, while tens of millions of Americans have lost their health care;

have faced mounting economic hardship;

have confronted pure racism, nativism, misogyny, and promotion of extremist Christian white supremacy nationalism;

have faced arrest and prosecution without the protection of the Bill of Rights;

have faced the danger of illegal obstruction of the upcoming elections for Congress in 2026 and the Presidency in 2028;

faced the undermining of a multitude of government agencies and endangering American democracy, the rule of law, and national security and international alliances;

and so many other violations of law, morals, ethics, and constitutional norms that it is impossible to list all of them in a brief essay.

NO President or his administration comes close to the level of corruption, malfeasance, immorality, and lack of ethics of Donald Trump.

The most corrupt administration before Donald Trump is clearly Richard Nixon.

And there were disgraceful evidence of corruption also in other Presidencies—specifically, in chronological order:

Ulysses S. Grant
Warren G. Harding
Ronald Reagan
George W. Bush

with all of these Presidents being Republicans in party affiliation.

But none of these Presidents, other than Nixon, were so personally involved in scandals, while presiding over them, and therefore, having to be criticized and condemned for the people who served under them who engaged in abuses of power.

Even Richard Nixon, as much as he was horrendous in so many ways, accomplished some major positives, and knew when it was time to resign, and had a Republican Party who forced his hand, unlike the 2026 Republican Party which is unwilling to take action against the abuses and corruption that mounts daily.

This major historical moment, while very much in the midst of negative and horrible events, must be a clarion call for all decent Americans to resist the movement toward Fascism and acceptance of a new Monarchy, which was rejected in 1776, and must be vehemently opposed in very way imaginable in the coming weeks, months, and years!

Ohio And Florida Republican Gubernatorial Nominees Facing Racism From Within!

With the promotion of racism and white supremacy under Donald Trump, the Republican Party is now facing within its midst ugly racism occurring, most notably, in Ohio and Florida.

In Ohio, Republican Gubernatorial nominee Vivek Ramaswamy, formerly a Republican Presidential contender in 2024, of Hindu Indian heritage and parents who are immigrants, with him having dark skin, is being subjected to verbal and other abuse by advocates of white Christian supremacy including Casey Putsch, who won 18 percent of the vote in the Ohio primary, and has been openly abusive about the background and heritage of Ramaswamy.

Meanwhile, in Florida, which has months until the Gubernatorial primary occurs in August, front runner Congressman Byron Donalds, who is African American but has a white wife, is being pilloried by James Fishback, who is a white supremacist, nativist, and Christian Nationalist.

Additionally, white supremacist influencer Nick Fuentes, who ironically is himself Hispanic, has gained a wide following with his racist, antisemitic, and sexist tirades, attracting lots of young men.

Christian nationalist pastors, and also Tucker Carlson, have added fuel to the fire as well.

While this author and blogger finds both Ramaswamy and Donalds distasteful to the extreme, it is shocking how they have become targets for more extreme Republicans than even they are, and are having to deal, therefore, with what Democrats have long had to cope with.

Texas Democratic Senate Nominee James Talarico Threatened By Pete Hegseth Pastor Who Wishes His Death!

In an extremely shocking development, the pastor who is the closest spiritual adviser to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, has called for the death of Texas Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico by crucifixion, over the issue of his belief in the original teachings and beliefs of Jesus Christ, humanitarian Christianity, rather than the hardline right wing extremist view of White Christian Nationalists.

This should lead to the condemnation of this pastor for advocating violence, as this is not just a threat to Talarico, but to anyone who would challenge the hatred of Christian Nationalists.

Also, Pete Hegseth should, but will not, condemn this pastor as beyond the pale in his rhetoric.

How is this any different than those who condemn Islamic extremists who call for the death of those who refuse to accept the Muslim faith?

How is this any different than those extremist right wing Jews in Israel who advocate death and destruction of all Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza?

How is this different than those extremists in the Buddhist and Hindu faiths who advocate hatred, violence, and destruction against those who challenge extremist, nationalist rhetoric and actions?

James Talarico is an inspiring, dynamic young man who offers hope for advancement and love of true Christian values, but now he is in danger of some extremist deciding it is his mission to eliminate this Senate candidate, who offers a brighter future in American politics, if he is able to be successful in his quest for a Senate seat in Texas.

Clearly, Talarico will need sufficient security protection both now, and even more so, if he succeeds in his goal of serving his state in the US Senate.

This is a terrible tragedy, and very worrisome situation, and all decent people have to pray and hope for his safety!

James Talarico And Andy Beshear: Two Devout “Legitimate” Christians Who Inspire For The Future Of Relationship Between Government And Religion!

Texas State Senator James Talarico is competing for the Democratic Senatorial nomination against Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, and he has become a national sensation, due to his charisma, personal presence, and his liberal Christian views, espousing the teachings of Jesus.

CBS preventing him from being interviewed by Stephen Colbert on his show, leading to the interview being posted on YouTube, and gaining 6 million views at this writing, has made his attempt to gain a Senate run against three Republican contenders, including Senator John Cornyn, suddenly gain massive support.

His decency, compassion, and empathy, all true Christian values, make him someone to watch and root for, not only for flipping a Senate seat to Democrats, but also as a potential national figure in the short and long term, if he can be successful.

And it must be recalled that in July 2025, the podcaster Joe Rogan, who has often been supportive of Donald Trump although at times a critic, had the then mostly unknown James Talarico on his podcast, and made the astonishing statement that Talarico should run for President, a stunning statement!

The same decent, compassionate, and empathetic Christianity of Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, who has managed to hold the Governorship in a heavily Republican state for two terms, makes Beshear a person on the short list of potential Democratic Presidential nominees for 2028.

At a time of hypocrisy of the white Christian nationalist right wing that has backed MAGA Republicans and Donald Trump, it is inspiring that we can have those who are “religious” in a true sense, which includes an open mind toward others who are of different religions, and those with no religious beliefs, and offer themselves as alternatives for America’s future.

This includes support for immigrants; women; racial minorities; and people of different genders and sexual orientation–a tolerance equivalent of the teachings of Jesus.

This author and blogger is very enthused and optimistic about the role of Talarico for the Senate future, and for Beshear for the Presidential future, as models of what America should strive for, whether or not, either individual succeeds in his future political ambitions.

Donald Trump, Aggressor In Foreign Policy!

Donald Trump is becoming an international law violator of massive proportions.

In his declining mental state, and being egged on by sycophants, including Pete Hegseth and Stephen Miller, who are very willing to use American military force to impose their views on other nations, we are seeing the constant attacks on boats in the Caribbean and the eastern Pacific, that supposedly, are involved in drug dealing, but no information is being provided to Senators or Congressmen of key committees that deal with national defense and foreign policy.

So far, 18 boats have been attacked, and about 70 people have been killed, while a few survivors of these attacks are sent back to their home nations, which indicates there is no evidence of them being engaged in illegal actions, as if they were, they would be brought to trial in the United States.

Military and naval forces are growing toward what seems like a likely military attack, maybe even invasion, of Venezuela, with the aim of forcing President Nicolas Maduro from power.

This seems connected also to Venezuela’s alliance with Cuba, with the background plan, possibly, to overthrow the Cuban government, a nation where Raul Castro, brother of Fidel Castro, is still alive although retired, 66 years after the Cuban Revolution of 1959.

And there are hints that the US is ready to invade Mexico over the drug cartel issue, as well.

But outside the Western Hemisphere, suddenly there is a threat against the largest populated nation in Africa, Nigeria, because of religious turmoil, leading to the deaths of Christians, but also Muslims in that nation. Trump is using the Christian nationalist argument to threaten invasion of that nation, which would be a total disater if it were to occur.

Clearly, Donald Trump and his extremist Cabinet and advisers are waging the threat of potential military intervention, while sitting on the sidelines regarding the Russia-Ukraine War, and cozying up to nations that are “Communist” in their history, such as Kim Jong Un of North Korea and Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation, and disrupting the 76 year NATO alliance in the process.

Four Democrats, Straight White Christian Men, May Be Best Alternatives For 2028!

In a time of so much division and conflict in America, it is noticeable that most of the potential Democratic Party Presidential contenders are perceived as having disadvantages in a time of white Christian nationalist extremism taking over the Republican Party, encouraged by Donald Trump.

The following list of 20 potential Presidential contenders is quite revealing, as we have the elections next week in NYC, New Jersey, Virginia, and the California vote on reapportionment of Congressional seats.

So we have potential Presidential contenders who are females—Kamala Harris, Gretchen Whitmer, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Amy Klobuchar.

So we have potential Presidential contenders who are African Americans or Latino or Asian ethnicity—Wes Moore, Cory Booker, Raphael Warnock, Stephen A. Smith, Ruben Gallego, Ro Khanna.

So we have potential Presidential contenders who are Jewish—JD Pritzker, Josh Shapiro, Jared Polis, Jon Ossoff, Josh Green.

So we have potential Presidential contenders who are gay—Pete Buttigieg, Jared Polis.

And then, we have white male “straight” Christian Presidential contenders—Gavin Newsom, Andy Beshear, Chris Murphy, Mark Kelly.

One could argue that in the present political climate, the latter four names—all white male “straight” Christian contenders—might be the best bet moving forward, although saying that is tragic, as it should not matter if one is a female, a racial minority, Jewish, or Gay individual.

Other than Barack Obama, the sad truth is that no woman, racial minority, Jewish, or gay politician, has been able to break through to this point, a sad commentary on American life!

Shocking Assassination Of Charlie Kirk A Danger Sign For Future Of American Politics! :(

The shocking assassination of right wing activist Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, at a Utah University speaking event yesterday, is a danger sign for the future of American politics.

Kirk was a controversial and outspoken figure, who had millions of followers on social media who followed his extremist rhetoric, which had elements of racism, nativism, misogyny, Islamophobia, and attacks on gay, lesbian and transgender people.

And despite his recent pro Israel support on the Gaza War, Kirk also had uttered antisemitic assertions, and was promoting a white Christian MAGA nationalism mentality.

Kirk had the full support of Donald Trump and his children, JD Vance, and all of the most influential Trump Cabinet and advisers, and was seen as the most controversial and divisive young advocate of Trump policies, along with Stephen Miller.

Now, sadly and troubling, we are seeing, already, right wing attacks on the left wing, without any idea of who the assassin was, and that person’s motivations, as the manhunt continues as I write this entry.

And the fear is that Trump and his Cabinet will step up even more abusive and aggressive attacks on the vulnerable groups that have already been victimized in the past eight months.

Here we are on the 24th anniversary of September 11, and now a crisis on what the American future will be, and the fear of many more victims of violence and bloodshed that may be perpetrated by the extremists of both sides of the political spectrum.

This is a time that America should be uniting in mourning a death that should not have occurred, not a time for retribution and revenge!

Russell Vought, The Destroyer Of The Federal Government Work Force And Agencies!

The confirmation of Russell Vought as the head of the Office of Management and Budget in the Trump Administration is a danger sign to the issue of federal civil service employees and federal oversight on a host of issues and policies.

This man is a “wrecking crew”, considered by Democrats as the most dangerous of all Trump nominees, as he is a prime author of Project 2025, which is a right wing declaration of war on federal regulations in so many areas, including as examples, the environment, consumer protection, civil rights, labor protections, and separation of powers. He also is an advocate of Christian Nationalism.

Vought believes the Presidency should be more centralized and not be accountable to Congress and the courts, so he is promoting anarchy, chaos, and endorsement of what would be authoritarian Fascism, if it is not stopped by those who believe in the survival of American democracy and the rule of law!

Kevin Roberts, Leonard Leo, Harlan Crow—Dangers To American Democracy And Rule Of Law!

The extreme Right Wing is in full bloom, with The Federalist Society and The Heritage Foundation on an extensive campaign to promote Project 2025, with its emphasis on revolutionary change to American government and society, with an emphasis on advocacy of white Christian Nationalism.

Kevin Roberts, the head of The Heritage Foundation has openly declared war, drawing attention to the evil plans of Project 2025, which this author and blogger has dissected in the past couple of weeks.

Leonard Leo has been engaged in promotion of an extreme right wing judiciary, including the Supreme Court.

Harlan Crow has corrupted Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas through gifts and favors for decades, creating a crisis for the Supreme Court reputation.

These men are super wealthy and represent a threat to the survival of American democracy and the rule of law. They will stop at nothing to impose their extremist views on America.

So this upcoming Presidential and Congressional elections are a battle for the future of America, more important than any election in close to a century!
