Arizona And Georgia Key States Now, NOT Florida And Texas!

As a result of the Midterm Elections of 2022, after the Presidential Election of 2020, it is clear that Arizona and Georgia are the key states for the Democrats, although they do not make up for the Republican dominance of Florida and Texas!

But with Pennsylvania and Michigan also becoming more likely Democratic based on recent elections, and adding the Northeast and Pacific Coast, the Midwest states of Illinois and Minnesota, and a few Mountain states, such as Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada, the prognosis for the Democrats in 2024 and beyond, is looking good, in regards to the Electoral College!

Raphael Warnock Wins Full Term In The Senate, Another Repudiation Of Donald Trump!

Senator Raphael Warnock won a full term in the US Senate tonight, overcoming the challenge of former football player and Republican nominee Herschel Walker, and repudiating Donald Trump once again!

With a 51-49 Democratic US Senate in the 118th Congress, the committees will have a Democratic edge in membership, and this will make legislation and other actions much easier to accomplish, than the 50-50 Senate that was in play in the present 117th Congress.

So this victory added to the very successful Midterm Elections of 2022 for the Democratic Party!

From The Greatest Modern Speaker Of The House To A Total Disaster In The Making!

Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi (2007-2011) and (2019-2023) will go down as the greatest modern Speaker of the House, with so much accomplished under her leadership particularly in the first two years of the Barack Obama Presidency (the 111th Congress), and the first two years of the Joe Biden Presidency (the 117th Congress).

The only other Speakers of the previous 20th century who would rank on her level of greatness would be Sam Rayburn (1940-1947, 1949-1953, 1955-1961), and Thomas “Tip” O’Neill (1977-1987).

When Pelosi gives up the gavel on January 3, 2023, she will have been the fifth longest serving Speaker of the 54 individuals who have held that office, only outdone by Rayburn, Henry Clay, O’Neill, and John W. McCormack.

Now, sadly, a Republican will take over the Speakership of the 118th Congress, most likely Kevin McCarthy of California, who is a unmitigated disaster, totally subservient to the evil 45th President, Donald Trump, who is a Fascist authoritarian demagogue, who still threatens the survival of American democracy.

Newt Gingrich Says Republicans Have Underestimated Joe Biden

Former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, who did more to divide America and cause “bad blood” in American politics than anyone in the past 30 years, has published a blog post stating that the Republican Party has underestimated Joe Biden tremendously.

He is critical of Biden demonizing Republicans in the recent midterm election, an example of hypocrisy on Gingrich’s part, as he became the true demonizer of the opposition in a poisonous manner, and now cannot handle a similar tactic by the Democrats, who finally stood up and fought back against Republican lunacy and extremism!

Gingrich makes clear that it will be difficult to stop Biden from a second term in the Presidency, and that Republicans have to figure out a different strategy and approach, as what they have done has failed.

This seems like an admission that Donald Trump has brought down the Republican party on all levels, which is certainly reality!

But of course, Gingrich feels a need to point out Biden’s shortcomings, including his speaking difficulties due to stuttering, occasional lapses of memory, and what Gingrich calls “strange behavior” and “personal flaws”.

Gingrich is good at attacking others incessantly, but failing to see his own shortcomings and foibles, which compared to Biden, are much more massive in nature!

Changing The Primary System For The Presidency Makes Total Sense!

After years of the Presidential primary system every four years being controlled by Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada, the Democratic Party and President Joe Biden are promoting a massive change to reflect reality about states and influence.

The plan proposed by Joe Biden would put South Carolina first, followed by a joint date for Nevada and New Hampshire, and then Georgia and Michigan, with Iowa left out of the equation with its outdated caucus system.

Of course, Iowa is upset, and New Hampshire is also unhappy, as they wish to go first, and might still arrange for a primary, due to state law, a week before the beginning of the primary season, but that could lead to refusal to seat delegates chosen in an unauthorized earlier primary.

No plan will please everyone, but this sounds like an excellent reorganization, although Republicans may not follow the same plan.

The Speakership Of The House Of Representatives Is In Play!

It now seems possible that Kevin McCarthy, who has sought the Speakership of the House of Representatives for years, may yet be unable to attain it.

With a 222-213 House in favor of Republicans, McCarthy cannot afford to lose more than four members of his party, and the “Freedom Caucus” right wingers have at least five members who have indicated they will not support McCarthy for the Speakership.

So the 213 Democrats could combine with four or more moderate Republicans in the House of Representatives and elect someone else, with soon to be former Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming being a likely choice, and others suggesting former Independent Justin Amash of Michigan being also bandied about as a possible choice, as a non partisan Speaker.

The Speakership does not have to be held by a sitting member of the chamber, although that has always been the case.

So interesting times are ahead over the next five and a half weeks!

Thanksgiving A Day To Commemorate The Overall Success In Midterm Elections

This Thanksgiving is one to commemorate the overall success in the Midterm Elections of 2022, as Joe Biden and the Democratic Party had major successes in the Senate (one seat gain and continued control) and the Governorships (winning three, and losing one, so overall gain of two), with only a small switch in the House, creating a divided Congress, but setting up a situation where the Republican Party will demonstrate its inability to govern effectively!

The only times that the party in the White House had a better result in the past hundred years was in 1934 under Franklin D. Roosevelt, which saw a major gain for the governing Democrats of nine seats gain in the Senate and an equal nine seats gain in the House of Representatives; 1998, when the Democrats under Bill Clinton gained five seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate balance stayed the same; and 2002, when George W. Bush, a year after the September 11 attacks saw a gain for the Republicans of two seats in the Senate and eight seats in the House of Representatives.

The Republican Party campaigned in 2022 on the issues of crime and inflation, but now are making clear their intent only to waste time on investigations of the Biden Administration, including Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. This demagoguery will insure Democrats being able to regain the House of Representatives in 2024, since just like this election, only a few seats will need to be won to take charge once again!

Nancy Pelosi Is The Greatest Elected Woman Leader In US History!

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco, California, is giving up her leadership of the Democratic Party in the lower chamber, as a result of the Republicans taking over as the majority by just a few members, basically a switch from the Democratic slim margin in the 117th Congress, to the Republican slim margin in the upcoming 118th Congress.

Pelosi will remain, however, as the representative of her district, and will contribute her expertise and skills to the new, younger generation leadership of the Democratic Party, led by New York Congressman Hakeem Jeffries.

Pelosi has served for 36 years, and has been a massive figure in the history of Congress.

Without a doubt, she is the greatest elected woman leader in US History, and has borne the burden of vicious personal attacks on her person and that of her husband.

She is truly a heroine for the ages, and was of great assistance to Democratic Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, but also came to the support, when needed, of Republican President George W. Bush.

Pelosi is irreplaceable, but Hakeem Jeffries, hopefully the future Speaker of the House in the 119th Congress (2025-2027) is certain to outshine the mediocre, self serving, traitor to the Constitution and rule of law that Kevin McCarthy represents, being beholden to Donald Trump, after rightly condemning him immediately after the US Capitol Insurrection on January 6, 2021.

McCarthy will be condemned in history for having been subservient to Donald Trump!

Dangerous Lunatic Kari Lake Loses, A Final Loss For “Election Deniers”!

The highlight of the Midterm Elections of 2022 was the just announced defeat of Arizona “Election Denier” Republican gubernatorial nominee, Kari Lake, by Democrat Katie Hobbs.

Lake was the worst of the worst “Election Deniers”, and this dangerous lunatic is now a loser, who has no political future!

She represented the most dire threat to American democracy imaginable, along with also defeated Pennsylvania Republican gubernatorial nominee Doug Mastriano, who lost to Governor Elect Josh Shapiro.

So Arizona and Pennsylvania, along with Michigan, where Democrats gained control of the state legislature for the first time in four decades, along with Governor Gretchen Whitmer and the other state wide executive offices, sets up a great situation for the Presidential election of 2024!

First Generation Z Member Of Congress Maxwell Frost Wins, While Karoline Leavitt And Bo Hines Lose!

The new 118th Congress will have one Generation Z (born in January 1997) House member, Democrat Maxwell Alejandro Frost, elected to represent the Orlando, Florida area at age 25.

At the same time, two others born in the 1990s–Republicans Karoline Leavitt in New Hampshire (technically not eligible as born in August 1998, so not eligible for service until August 2023) and Bo Hines in North Carolina (born in 1995)–lost their bids.

Frost is the second person born in the 1990s (generally known as Generation Z if born in 1996 or later) to serve in the Congress, with one term Republican Congressman Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina (born in 1995), the only other person, defeated after one term in the primary, having caused great controversy and conflict as his legacy!
