Herschel Walker

Raphael Warnock Wins Full Term In The Senate, Another Repudiation Of Donald Trump!

Senator Raphael Warnock won a full term in the US Senate tonight, overcoming the challenge of former football player and Republican nominee Herschel Walker, and repudiating Donald Trump once again!

With a 51-49 Democratic US Senate in the 118th Congress, the committees will have a Democratic edge in membership, and this will make legislation and other actions much easier to accomplish, than the 50-50 Senate that was in play in the present 117th Congress.

So this victory added to the very successful Midterm Elections of 2022 for the Democratic Party!

If Herschel Walker Was To Win In Georgia, The Senate Would Be Degraded!

Herschel Walker has proven to be totally mentally damaged, probably by his football career decades ago, and probably leading a dissolute life including drugs.

Walker is an embarrassment as a Senate candidate in Georgia, and were he to win, the US Senate would be degraded dramatically.

He does not even work hard at his campaign, so he is asking Georgians to elect him because he was a football star in the 1980s, totally preposterous.

Donald Trump has lost on other endorsements of candidates, and Walker needs to lose and be forgotten, while Senator Raphael Warnock is a distinguished Senator and pastor, high quality, and the competition is between night and day.

We have enough disgraceful Republicans in the Senate, but at least, they have signs of intelligence and knowledge and ability, while Walker is a joke of a candidate!

If he needs Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz to vouch for Herschel Walker, while he mumbles unintelligible utterances, we have reached a true low point, and the dignity of the US Senate would be degraded ever further, if by some fluke, he wins over Raphael Warnock!

New Membership Of Upcoming 118th Congress (2023-2025)

The upcoming 118th Congress (2023-2025) will have 84 new members, 77 new Congressmen and women, and seven US Senators.

The number of US Senators since 1789 has finally reached over 2,000, with a total of 2,001, but when Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska resigns to become the President of the University of Florida, the number will rise to 2002!

The new US Senators replaced those who retired, and every Senator up for election won, except the Georgia Senate race is in a runoff between Senator Raphael Warnock and his Republican opponent Herschel Walker, the former football star from decades ago, who has clearly suffered brain damage and makes no sense at all in what he says!

Hopefully, on December 6, Warnock will win a full term, which he richly deserves!

Potential For Four New African American Senators

There have been 11 African American Senators in the 234 years of US Senate history.

Presently, there are three—Republican Tim Scott of South Carolina; and Democrats Cory Booker of New Jersey and Raphael Warnock of Georgia.

Prominent earlier African American Senators included Democrats Carol Moseley Braun and Barack Obama of Illinois; Democrat Kamala Harris of California; and Republican Edward Brooke of Massachusetts.

Now, there is the possibility of four additional African American Senators, if fortune works out.

They include: Mandela Barnes in Wisconsin; Cheri Beasley in North Carolina; Charles Booker in Kentucky; and Val Demings of Florida.

Barnes is competing against Ron Johnson in Wisconsin; Beasley againast Ted Budd in North Carolina; Booker against Rand Paul in Kentucky; and Demings against Marco Rubio in Florida.

All of these races are tight in polls, except Booker against Paul in Kentucky, where Booker is at a major disadvantage.

Also, Warnock is in a tight race against Republican Herschel Walker in Georgia, with both being African Americans.

The US Senate Is Fast Becoming Degraded By Lust For Power And Control

The United States Senate, long thought to be the most prestigious legislative body by reputation, is fast being degraded by the lust for power and control.

There have always been Senators who were a disgrace to the institution by their actions or words, but now, the Republican Party has decided that Donald Trump should decide who is obedient enough to be promoted as nominees.

So we have the most disgraceful group of potential Senators in one election cycle ever, and if these candidates end up winning due to loyalty to Donald Trump by ill informed voters, then the institution of the Senate will be irreparably harmed!

America has had 1,994 US Senators since 1789, and there will be more than 2,000 after the midterm elections.

But do we want the likes of Herschel Walker in Georgia, Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania, Blake Masters in Arizona, Adam Laxalt in Nevada, Eric Schmitt in Missouri, Don Bolduc in New Hampshire, and J. D. Vance in Ohio being added to a legislative body that deserves people who are not “Election Deniers”?

Phony Family Values Of Republicans

The Republican Party is, once again, demonstrating their hypocrisy on so called “family values”.

The Republican Party claims to be “ProLife” and anti abortion.

But now, when it is revealed that Georgia Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker paid for a girlfriend’s abortion in 2009, they remain silent.

When it is revealed how much Herschel Walker has lied about his whole life, and has threatened a former wife, and ignored his children, including a son who is now denouncing him, they remain silent.

The same pattern existed that when Donald Trump was revealed to be engaged in scandals with women when he was running for President in 2016, they remained silent.

But if one Democrat is involved in scandal, it is dramatized and emphasized as a massive sin, as for example, the accusations that former Minnesota Senator Al Franken in 2018 may have engaged in inappropriate behavior, and was hounded into resignation.

Clearly, the Republican Party has no interest in family values, only to use it as a political weapon against the opposition, while totally ignoring it in their own party membership!

Potential For More African American Senators In 118th Congress (2023-2024)

The potential exists for the US Senate in the 118th Congress to have more African American members than ever before.

Altogether, there have been eleven African American Senators in American history, with three serving for the first time in 2017 when Kamala Harris joined the Senate, adding to Tim Scott and Cory Booker.

Raphael Warnock became the third serving at the same time, replacing Harris, who became Vice President in 2021!

Now, with Scott and Booker in the Senate, and Warnock running for reelection against another African American, former football player Herschel Walker, at least three African Americans will serve in the next Congress.

But there are others who are running for election to the Senate, including:

Congresswoman Val Demings of Florida against Senator Marco Rubio

Charles Booker of Kentucky against Senator Rand Paul

Cheri Beasley of North Carolina against Congressman Ted Budd

Mandela Barnes of Wisconsin against Senator Ron Johnson

So there could, in theory, be SEVEN African American Senators in the 118th Congress, if fortune worked out!

Lunatic And Incompetent Republican Candidates Abound For 2022 Midterm Elections!

The Republican Party has, and is in the process of nominating candidates for public office, who are clearly lunatic and incompetent.

No wonder national Republican leadership is alarmed, and why Democrats are raising much greater amounts of campaign funds and leading in many polls.

So we have Pennsylvania with very dangerous Gubernatorial nominee Doug Mastriano, who consorts with white supremacists and antisemites; and Dr. Mehmet Oz, running for the US Senate, who has made a fool of himself, and undermined his television reputation, and is not even a resident of Pennsylvania, rather New Jersey.

And we have Georgia, where former football star Herschel Walker, running for the US Senate, has been caught in lies about his past, and makes totally loony statements, making one wonder if he suffers from brain damage from his football career.

And we have author J D Vance in Ohio, running for the US Senate, who is shown to have changed all his views from five years ago, and now says abused women should not leave their husbands or live in boyfriends, but just stay in the horrendous relationship with their children, a statement that makes one wonder as to Vance’s sanity.

And in Maryland, the candidates for Governor and Attorney General on the Republican side, Dan Cox and Michael Peroutka, are showing they are totally outside the mainstream in alarming ways!

And there are still primary contests to come that are potentially alarming, particularly if Eric Greitens, former disgraced Missouri Governor, ends up as the Republican nominee for the US Senate!

Republican Senate Candidates Are Horrendous, Promoting Optimism For Democrats!

The Republican Party has a group of candidates for election to the US Senate who are truly horrendous, and therefore promote optimism for Democrats in the upcoming Midterm Elections of 2022.

If these candidates somehow win election, they will disgrace the Senate and its history, as already there are Republican Senators who are a disgrace to the institution!

Among the disastrous candidates are:

Dr. Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania against Democratic Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman

Herschel Walker in Georgia against Democratic Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock

J D Vance in Ohio against Democratic Congressman Tim Ryan

The odds seem to favor Democrats, but the fight for what is ethical and moral must continue until November to promote a decent future in America!

The Ohio, Pennsylvania, And Georgia Senate Races Will Test Trump Influence

With the conclusion of the Republican Senate nomination battle in Pennsylvania, the next five months will determine what influence Donald Trump has on the makeup of the US Senate in the 118th Congress (2023-2024), and whether the Democrats can retain the Senate and gain more seats.

In Ohio, J D Vance, who used to be a moderate, is contesting for the open Senate seat of Rob Portman, retiring, against Democratic Congressman Tim Ryan.

In Pennsylvania, Dr. Mehmet Oz, who used to be a moderate, is contesting for the open Senate set of Patrick Toomey, retiring, against Democratic Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman.

In Georgia, former Football player Herschel Walker, who has no real signs of intellectual ability, is contesting for the Senate seat of Democratic Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock, an all African American race, but one with a pastor in the tradition of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther, King, Jr, and like King, formerly pastor of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta.

The three Republican nominees, were they elected, would join with the most horrendous Republican Senators already in the chamber, including Ted Cruz of Texas; Rand Paul of Kentucky (if he wins reelection); Ron Johnson of Wisconsin (if he wins reelection); Tom Cotton of Arkansas; Josh Hawley of Missouri; Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee; and Mike Lee of Utah (if he wins reelection). Of this group, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul have already run for President in 2016, and Tom Cotton and Josh Hawley are also potential Presidential candidates in 2024.
