Trumpites Put Profit Above Life With Actions In Michigan And Kentucky, And At Houses Of Worship

It is now clear that Trumpites put profit above life, as shown by their marches and demonstrations in Michigan, Kentucky, and threatened actions in North Carolina, Virginia, and Ohio, protesting the shutdowns ordered by those states’ Democratic governors and Ohio’s Republican Governor.

A number of Christian houses of worship, run by pastors who are always looking for adulation and money, also have endangered their clueless, gullible congregants by holding Easter Sunday services, and denouncing what they call interference with freedom of religion. That was not the purpose of the states’ governors who worry about the spread of the CoronaVirus.

It is essential for the Democratic governors, along with the intelligent, sensible Republican governors of states, including Massachusetts, Maryland, and Ohio, to hold fast and not give in to pressure to reopen society at a delicate time as now!

Donald Trump every day adds to his reputation as the absolutely worst President in American history, and the nightmare of his horrific handling of the CoronaVirus Pandemic only adds to the destruction of his name in the long run of history.

It is so bad now, with 32,000 deaths in the last five weeks, and Trump proving totally incapable of crisis leadership.

Trump has shown no awareness of the massive loss of life, and has the total inability to have compassion, empathy, or a sense of common decency, as he sees it all as an opportunity to assert his absolute authority, even though he has no clue as to how to deal with this most significant crisis in the past 75 years since World War II and the Great Depression.

By all rights, Donald Trump should be removed from office right now, be arrested and charged with involuntary homicide or manslaughter, and face the death penalty by law.

But our weak, ineffective Vice President, Mike Pence, is too much of a slavish sycophant, and the cabinet is the most corrupt, incompetent such group in American history.

So we will have to suffer through eight and a half more months of this nightmare, but once upon leaving office, the Trump family and Trump enablers all need to face legal consequences, not be pardoned or excused for the crimes they have committed.

So much attention in the news is always about famous people, wealthy people, controversial people!

How about some attention to the true heroes who often work for minimum wage, and those who sacrifice at work every day without the CoronaVirus Pandemic, or with it, more noticed now!

The true heroes are unsung, including those who work in supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, gas stations, and many other “essential” fields of work!

The true heroes also are the transit workers, those who deliver the mail, first responders (police, fire, emergency medical), and the nurses, doctors, and other medical personnel, who are working long hours trying to save lives, and despairing at the high death count!

This is also a time to appreciate the efforts of teachers, who suddenly parents realize what a tough and thankless job they have in educating the nation’s children, as now parents must become teachers, and not take the educators of the nation for granted!

But notice, not a real tribute to all of these workers coming from the President of the United States. while Joe Biden, his opponent, has spoken plenty about the sacrifices of these different categories of workers!

But that is because Joe Biden, whether you agree with him on all public issues, is fundamentally, a decent, compassionate, genuine, sincere person with real empathy and concern for others, the precise opposite of the cold, uncaring personality of our President!

Joe Biden’s personality traits are exactly what we need in the Presidency, to heal the nation and move forward into an uncertain future!

Donald Trump Politicizing CoronaVirus Pandemic, Rather Than Taking Responsibility For Greatest Loss Of Life In Short Time In American History

Donald Trump is politicizing the CoronaVirus Pandemic, as he is more concerned about his reelection in November, than he is about the greatest loss of life in a short time in American history.

He is a total failure as a crisis leader, and by all rights, he should resign in disgrace, and let Vice President Mike Pence, who at least is acting with civility and some sense of responsibility, take over and try to resolve the crisis over the next months.

But Donald Trump’s ego will not allow him to admit his guilt in this disaster, and will never put the nation before his own ambitions and lust for power.

For that, he will be condemned in history, and punished by God in the future!

Vote By Mail Should Be Alternative, And Should Be Offered Everywhere This November For All Elections

With the nation in the midst of the CoronaVirus Pandemic, it is essential that all states offer Vote by Mail as an alternative, making it mandatory for all elections!

As it is, about 25 percent of voters vote by mail, including this blogger and author.

People who are older; those who are disabled; those who are in hospitals, nursing homes, and other public institutions; and others who find it inconvenient to stand in lines at polls on Election Day already vote by mail.

If Donald Trump had his way, no one would vote by mail, as he knows that is the only way that a majority of people, not electoral votes, would vote for the Republican party. They make it their mission to make voting harder, and to work to undermine the right to vote for minority groups, and make voter suppression their major effort in office!

Standing online yesterday in Wisconsin, forced on voters by the Republican Party of Wisconsin and the US Supreme Court majority of conservative Republicans, was a total outrage and disgrace!

The right to vote is sacred, and no one needs to prove his residence, as long as he or she has registered to vote with proper identification. Once that has been established, we should follow Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah and Hawaii, all enlightened states, that have all of their elections by mail already!

Sixteen other states also have vote by mail allowed, including my state of Florida, but also California and Arizona as major centers of population. allow it.

It is time for such states as New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, Texas, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, and particularly Southern states, to spread democracy to all citizens!

The Biggest Victims Of The CoronaVirus Pandemic: African Americans, Elderly, And Health Care Workers

With the numbers mounting of victims of the CoronaVirus Pandemic in the United States, it is clear that the biggest victims are three categories:

African Americans

Elderly Over 70

Health Care Workers

It is so sad that African Americans, already burdened historically by racism and discrimination, now are a very high percentage of those dying from the virus, particularly in Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans, and New York City.

It is also sad that the elderly, particularly over the age of 70, are seeing their lives end without their families able to be there, and cheating many out of what could have been another five or more years of life.

And the Health Care workers–doctors, nurses, and others who sacrifice their lives with long, arduous hours–and now are being exposed recklessly, because the government cannot provide Personal Protective Equipment to protect themselves while helping the sick.

The extent of this pandemic could have been lessened if only Donald Trump had been on top of it in January and February, but he was too busy playing politics, and as always, blaming all his shortcomings and sins on his critics, rather than placing blame on others!
