President Donald Trump has managed to pursue policies in his first two years of his second term to accomplish the all time low in public opinion of any President during his time in office.
It is clear with greatly increased early voting that we will see a larger turnout in a midterm election than is traditional, as millions of Americans are angry:
over the inflation of gasoline and groceries and so much else,
the Iran War,
the tariffs,
the cruel deportation policies,
the massive corruption,
the clear mental deterioration of Trump,
AI and the data centers,
the racism and misogyny of Trump,
his horrendous Cabinet members,
and the sycophancy of Republicans in both houses of Congress, and so much more.
So vast numbers of Latino Americans,
Arab Americans,
young men and women voters,
highly educated voters,
urban voters,
and suburban voters
are clearly switching away from Trump and his party, even though large numbers of these groups voted Republican in 2024.
Every indication is that the Democratic Party will be the beneficiary of the anger and frustration toward Republicans and Donald Trump, particularly when Trump brags about his acquisition of his massive wealth in office, and his mocking of “Affordability”.
Also, it is typical and traditional that the party in the White House and in control of Congress traditionally loses seats or control in one or both houses of Congress in midterm elections, and it seems quite certain that we are on the way to a Democratic control of the House of Representatives, and very strong likelihood that will occur in the US Senate, as well.
