MAGA Republicans Turn Against Trump On Epstein Scandal!

Shocking to believe Steve Bannon, Megyn Kelly, Laura Ingraham, Tucker Carlson, Charlie Kirk, Marjorie Taylor Greene, even Laura Loomer, and many other MAGA Republicans, are furious at Donald Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi, for “covering up” the details on the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. This became evident at a right wing rally of “Turning Point USA” in Florida this past weekend.

This includes the indication that a prominent list of famous and wealthy public figures, likely including Donald Trump among them, had sexual relations with girls as young as 13, on Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean.

Also, the question whether Epstein committed suicide while in prison in 2019, or was murdered to cover up the so called “Client’s List”, is causing an eruption that is out of control, and undermining Trump support.

There are rumors that deputy FBI head Don Bongino, and even FBI Director Kash Patel, may also resign over this matter.

But this morning, unbelievably, some of the MAGA faithful seem to be backing away from criticism, and choosing to believe the report of Attorney General Pam Bondi, that there is no “Client’s List” of Epstein, and the attempt of Democrats to want an investigation in the House of Representatives failed to gain more than one Republican vote, so apparently, no investigation is likely!

And yet, MAGA Republicans are ready to accuse Joe Biden of all kinds of corruption, as they did with Bill Clinton, showing the total hypocrisy of Trump’s party!

Trump Threatens Any Republicans Who Support NPR And PBS: Time For Courage, Conscience, And Principle To Resist!

Donald Trump is on a rampage to eliminate all media reporting of the horrible truths of his first six months in office.

He is trying to eliminate the free media and press through lawsuits of privately owned media, including most notably CBS and ABC; and to wipe out financial support of two institutions that have been crucial in public information and truth—National Public Radio (NPR) and Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), created during the Presidency of Lyndon B. Johnson six decades ago.

Both NPR and PBS are great treasures, who have always had citizens contribute to their well-being, including this author and blogger. But there has also, always, been public tax support of the massive positive impact of both agencies, which is a pittance, when one considers federal expenditures.

Trump’s attempt to destroy NPR and PBS, and to promote censorship of major television and cable news, as well as the best newspapers that keep America free (specifically the NY Times and Washington Post, along with the Los Angeles Times and Wall Street Journal), along with other major print media, needs to be resisted at all costs, as the one way to insure American democracy survives the nightmare of Trump authoritarianism!

It is urgent that Republicans in Congress show some courage, conscience, and principle, and resist threats from Trump to oppose any party member who resists his desire to destroy public media that has done so much good for 60 years!

If they do not, on such a small investment as this, then it is time for the Republican Party of history to be declared dead, and admit we have a Fascist party, with elements of Benito Mussolini, Francisco Franco, Juan Peron, and even Adolf Hitler!

ICE Agents Abusing The Constitution, Acting Totally Lawless And Like The Nazi Gestapo Of Adolf Hitler!

ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), under Thomas Homan, Stephen Miller, and Kristi Noem, is acting in a totalitarian way, abusing the Constitution, and acting totally lawless, in their mass arrests and abuses against undocumented immigrants, most of whom are NOT criminals!

Mass raids and the use of the National Guard and US Marines in Los Angeles; the raiding of schools, hospitals, court houses, work places, private homes, and so many other locations; are destroying the lives of people who have no criminal record, and in some cases, are in fact, citizens of the United States, or people with green cards that allow them to remain in America.

There is no sense of ethics, morals, empathy, compassion, or decency among ICE agents and their evil leadership, so as a result, there have been examples of resistance by citizens who are then roughly dealt with, as if we live in a nation, similar to Nazi Germany’s Gestapo.

And the so called “Alligator Alcatraz” in the Everglades in South Florida is a total violation of basic human rights, with inadequate sanitary and other living facilities, very much like a concentration camp, and illegally constructed by the evil and arrogant Florida Governor Ron DeSantis!

Trump Cabinet Officers Center Of Controversy And Incompetency!

The Donald Trump Cabinet is rapidly imploding.

Attorney General Pam Bondi is under attack from the MAGA crowd and Deputy FBI Head Don Bongino for allegedly covering up the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, with the indication that Donald Trump and many other prominent figures were involved in a pedophilia scandal.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth took it upon himself to pause arms to Ukraine in its war against Russia, without Trump being informed of such action.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is undermining Americans’ health care in so many ways, including the fact that we have a massive Measles outbreak in several Western states, the largest in three decades, and Kennedy’s incessant war on vaccines.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has been shown to have provided delayed support for the victims of the tragic Texas floods last week, and for still advocating the end of FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency).

Also, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency under Noem and Thomas Homan, and the intervention of Stephen Miller, is violating the Constitution in its mad rush to deport immigrants, which in most cases, have committed no crimes.

And Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins claims that people who are disabled, elderly, and children, who will be harmed by Medicaid cuts, can fill the jobs of migrant farm workers, to replace such deported individuals.

And Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick is backing Donald Trump’s crazy tariff wars against American trade partners, while he certainly knows from history, that high tariffs undermine the American economy, and helped to cause the Panic of 1893 and the Great Depression of the 1930s.

While America has experienced corrupt and disgraceful Cabinet officers under other Presidents in American history, NEVER have we had so many such incompetent and unqualified members of a President’s cabinet as under Donald Trump!

Trump Threatening To Have Federal Government Seize Control Of Washington DC Government And NYC Government!

For a President who promotes the idea of the states being responsible for many issues that governments must deal with, it is highly disturbing and alarming that he is threatening to have the federal government seize control of Washington, DC, taking away their local control of government that has existed since the 1970s.

Trump is also threatening that if Zohran Mamdani is elected NYC Mayor, that he might take measures to seize control of the government of the largest city in America.

And, already, with the National Guard in California controlled by Trump over the opposition of Governor Gavin Newsom to the mass deportation efforts continuing in Los Angeles, the nation is in a crisis of Trump grabbing power where he has no constitutional authority to do so.

Trump Promoting Revenge And Retribution Against James Comey And John Brennan!

Donald Trump is following through on his campaign of revenge and retribution against his critics, most notably now with the announcement that the Department of Justice is pursuing an investigation of former FBI Director James Comey and former CIA Director John Brennan, both of whom were fired by Trump early in his first term.

One can certainly find fault with some of the actions or policies of any government agency, but this is a direct attack on the intelligence agencies, which should never be politicized.

The fact that both the FBI and CIA engaged in investigation of the close association between candidate Trump and Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation during the Presidential Election campaign of 2016 is the center of Trump’s wrath.

The Senate Intelligence Committee headed by, of all people, Florida Senator Marco Rubio in 2019, demonstrated that there WAS a connection between Trump and Putin, that affected the election results, and led to the defeat of Hillary Clinton in 2016.

And it was Comey who created a controversy just less than two weeks before the election regarding Clinton, which, ironically, helped Trump to pull out a victory despite losing the national popular vote by more than a half million votes!

Trump, With So Many Crises, Spends 15 Minutes Of Adulatory Cabinet Meeting, Praising Changes In Decor Of White House Cabinet Room!

Donald Trump, in the midst of so many crises and problems to deal with, held his “adulatory” Cabinet meeting yesterday, which has become a trend every few weeks, with Cabinet members profusely praising him, something that never happened with any other President.

And he spent 15 minutes bragging about changes he has brought to the White House Cabinet Room decor over the past six months, as if that is worthy of so much attention, when all of his promises to solve problems have failed in international affairs, and the war continues against federal employees and agencies.

Also, he was angry that his association with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and the rumored “Clients List”, which supposedly includes his name, came up, indicating once again that he is engaged in yet another coverup of his scandalous life.

In slightly less than six months, Donald Trump has little to show for his tenure, although he and his minions continue to manipulate the truth and facts!

Early Prognosis Of Potential Republican Presidential Contenders In 2028

Already, just short of six months into the second term of Donald Trump, speculation is rampant as to potential Republican Presidential contenders in 2028.

From this author and blogger’s perspective, it is a literal “horror’s list” of potential Presidential nominees.

It includes:

Vice President JD Vance, assuming he does not succeed to the Presidency during this term

Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is also, presently, National Security Advisor

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, primarily responsible for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which now will have more funds to promote arrest and deportation than many government militaries worldwide have.

US Senators Ted Cruz of Texas; Rand Paul of Kentucky; and Tim Scott of South Carolina, with the first two having contended against Donald Trump in 2016.

Governors Brian Kemp of Georgia; Glenn Youngkin of Virginia (both who will be out of their Governorships at the end of 2026 and 2025 respectively): and Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas, former Press Secretary to Trump in his first term.

There may be other contenders as well, but looking at this list, it is a horrible group, with this author and blogger’s personal opinion being that Noem, Cruz, and Huckabee Sanders are the worst of the worst.

But Vance, Paul, and Scott are not much “better”, and Kemp and Youngkin, while comparatively less controversial, are still far from adequate.

Out of this list, Marco Rubio is the “best”, but simply not being as horrendous as the others!

Hopefully, none of these or any other Republican contenders gain the White House in the Presidential Election of 2028!

Texas Flood Disaster Sadly A Forecast Of Future With Trump War On National Weather Service And Federal Emergency Management Agency!

The horribly tragic flood disaster in Texas, with the loss of at least 80 lives, including many young girls at a camp, but also many other victims, cries out for more spending and staff for the National Weather Service, and a continuation and bolstering of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The reality of global warming and climate change is not only from floods, but also from wildfires due to droughts, and tornadoes and hurricances, and the growing threat of inadequate resources to deal with these crises that will, certainly, continue to arise over time.

But instead, Donald Trump has declared war on science, weather, and a national commitment to protection of Americans from such emergencies, with his plan to eliminate FEMA, and leave it to underfinanced and understaffed state agencies to deal with it in an incompetent manner.

This is particularly so with many rural “red” states, who are already facing massive cuts in Medicaid, due to the passage of the “Big and Beautiful” funding bill, that was just signed in an obnoxious ceremony at the White House, with cheering and smiling Republicans witness to the horrendous tragic event.

The tragic events that have occurred are now likely to occur again and again all over America, as the government declares war on science, health, and public safety, while the extremely wealthy gain massive tax cuts that they do not deserve!

Lisa Murkowski And Don Bacon Disappoint Those Who Thought They Had Basic Principles!

When one looks at the cave in of Congressional Republicans on the “Big And Beautiful” Bill that just passed Congress, wiping out a lot of “The Great Society” of Lyndon B. Johnson from six decades ago, what particularly disturbs is that only three Senators and two House members voted against the legislation.

Had one more US Senator and two more House members voted against, the legislation would have failed, and would have had to go back for further consideration and modification, hopefully making it less onerous.

It is amazing how members of both houses of Congress, that were opposed to adding to the deficit, and those who made clear their concern about the Medicaid Cuts, still went ahead and voted for the Senate bill, which was more extreme than the House bill.

So called “principled” Republicans demonstrated that they were NOT “Profiles in Courage”, and two come to mind.

Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski and Nebraska Congressman Don Bacon both seemed to be people of principle, who would stand up for the needs of their constituents and the nation at large.

But both failed to do so, and now makes this author and blogger look at both as no longer believable, and really, no better than the multitude of Congressional Republicans surrounding them!
