MS NOW New Name For Former MSNBC: Still Best Cable News Channel!

The former cable news channel, MNSBC, in existence since 1996, now has been recast as MS NOW.

It still has the same shows, hosts, and contributors it has had in the recent past, after being recast in recent months.

It remains, by far, the best, most competent, and most accurate cable news channel, surpassing the original news channel, CNN, which has become far less reputable as time has passed.

And MS NOW is way beyond other cable news channels, most specifically Fox News Channel, which has become, ever more, a total disgrace in regards to accuracy, and has been more of a contributor to Trump Administration appointments of horrendous individuals who have no concern for the Bill of Rights, the Constitution, and the rule of law!

Even more disgraceful are NewsMax TV, and OANN (One America News Network), which make Fox News Channel look, comparatively, “respectable”, although it is not such.

NewsNation is a recent addition to cable news channels, perceived as “best” after MS NOW and CNN, and with such luminaries as Chris Cuomo, Elizabeth Vargas, and Leland Vittert.

Right Wing Fanatics Who Endanger America With Their Rhetoric!

Freedom of speech is essential as part of the Bill of Rights, but that does not mean that anything uttered by right wing fanatics should be be given slack as free to exploit for profit without accountability.

We have those who have no issue with dividing America for their own profit, and some of them are beyond the pale.

They would include Tucker Carlson, formerly of CNN and later before leaving, at Fox News Channel, now a loose cannon, and becoming more extreme and reckless by the day.

It also includes Megyn Kelly, who acts totally different than a decade ago, before she was on NBC and then dismissed, and now has gone off the deep end in her rhetoric.

It also includes Nick Fuentes, an avowed antisemite, racist, nativist, and misogynist, who has no issue with appealing to single white men who are finding it difficult to adjust to difficult economic times, even though he is himself of Hispanic ancestry!

Fuentes was a major critic of Charlie Kirk before his assassination, thinking he was not extreme enough in his utterances and beliefs!

These are just three of a much larger group of Republican Right extremists, who present a dire threat to political stability for the American future, and unfortunately, have the ear of Republican leadership, including Donald Trump, JD Vance, and the Trump Cabinet Officers, who often embrace them!

The Threat To Truth In Journalism

A very significant part of any democracy is a free, uncontrolled journalism and news media that promotes accountability and truth by government.

Sadly, and tragically, there are danger signs that a free, unbridled journalism is rapidly being eviscerated.

Examples are ABC News and CBS News reacting to lawsuits pursued by Donald Trump by caving in, and paying financial damages, when they should have fought it out in court.

Also, CBS News has been compromised by new ownership, catering to Donald Trump and firing many on their staff.

Additionally, the Washington Post under Billionaire Jeff Bezos has changed the nature of editorials and columnists, and many leading figures in that newspaper have resigned.

The Los Angeles Times has also shown signs of conceding to the Trump Administration in many instances, and CNN also has demonstrated willingness to be cautious in its approach to the Trump Administration.

For now, only the New York Times and MSNBC (to be renamed MS NOW on November 15) are resisting pressures by the Trump Administration.

Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense (or War insisted by him and Donald Trump) has pushed out all access to Pentagon information, by forcing all journalists to leave their long determined rights to have ability to question and investigate what is going on in our government, regarding military matters and national security.

Except for the one case of One America News, an extremist right wing MAGA Republican news outlet, ALL other news and journalistic websites and their reporters no longer will be able to gain information, except through outside connections, undermining the idea of a government accountable to the population of the nation. Corruption and abuse will flourish as a result!

Shocking Abuse Of Power: Censorship Mounting In Wake Of Charlie Kirk Assassination

The Charlie Kirk Assassination is, shockingly, leading to a massive abuse of power by Donald Trump and his administration.

The latest shock is that comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s ABC late evening program has been preempted indefinitely, because ABC has been threatened at losing its Federal Communications Commission license to operate, if they did not yank his program, due to comments made about Charlie Kirk.

This censorship follows CBS canceling comedian Stephen Colbert’s late evening show, effective in the late Spring 2026, but who can say that Colbert might not be “canceled” sooner than then?

CBS already made a legal settlement with Donald Trump, as did ABC earlier, over Trump’s accusations of unfair treatment. And CNN may soon be linked with CBS as part of a massive media merger, a danger sign for freedom of speech and press, and the First Amendment. Also, Trump has sued the New York Times for $15 billion for what Trump calls their lies about him,

The Washington Post under Jeff Bezos fired a columnist for her comments about Charlie Kirk, and there have been other media people who have been dismissed, and powerful corporate interests are rapidly consolidating control of news media into fewer hands, of billionaire oligarchs.

Additionally, universities are going after professors and staff, in a reaction that is shocking, along with many corporations, dismissing staff for their comments posted in only one week since the Charlie Kirk tragedy.

This unfortunate situation, leading to what looks like a move toward totalitarian control, reminds of the Reichstag Fire in Nazi Germany in 1933, which moved Adolf Hitler toward absolute power over his population.

America is in a constitutional crisis, deeper than ever, as we near eight months of this second Trump term!

How critics and opponents will be able to continue to resist is seen as a living, endless, nightmare!

First Amendment Under Attack After Charlie Kirk Assassination: An Out Of Control Abuse!

America is in a very dangerous time, as the Charlie Kirk Assassination has spurred Donald Trump and his supporters to promote an attack on the First Amendment—freedom of speech, press, and assembly.

Attorney General Pam Bondi, White House Deputy Chief Of Staff Stephen Miller, and Vice President JD Vance have all declared war on what they call “enemies” of the left, who must be suppressed by government action, although Bondi has backed off somewhat after criticsm even by some Republicans.

This attack on the First Amendment is also causing some media outlets, such as the Washington Post, and even MSNBC, to fire certain commentators, and for some universities, airlines, and other corporations to fire those who have posted on social media, in a manner that their employers have decided is not acceptable.

And Trump has started a $15 billion lawsuit against the NY Times.

ICe (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) has also been engaged in abuse of power in their arrests of people who look or speak Spanish, and their rough treatment of those they detain.

These are all signs of Fascism in America, but those who believe in freedom of expression are refusing to back off.

There is NO justification for violence against anyone, but the record shows much more extremism by the RIGHT, rather than the LEFT!

MS NOW:The News Source That Succeeds MSNBC!

The liberal and progressive cable news channel, MSNBC, in existence for 29 years since 1996, is separating from NBC in the next few months, no longer sharing journalists.

It is being renamed MS NOW, for MY SOURCE: NEWS OPINION WORLD, and it will be the premier left wing channel, as it has been under the MSNBC logo since its beginning.

Rachel Maddow, Jen Psaki, Joe Scarborough, Ari Melber, Lawrence O’Donnell, Nicolle Wallace, and Jacob Soboroff are among the people who will continue at MSNBC.

It will continue to be, by far, the best cable news channel for those with an open mind, far surpassing CNN!

Censorship Is Harming Journalism And Truth! :(

Journalism is being harmed by the decision of news media to bend to the will of Donald Trump, and to put controls on criticism and exposing the truth.

The Washington Post publisher, Jeff Bezos, has bent to threats from Trump, and has changed the editorial independence of one of the premier newspapers in America, leading to resignations by major contributors, many with a long, treasured history with the second most prominant newspaper in America.

CNN has pushed out well known figures, including, notably, Jim Acosta, who has caused antagonism with Trump, since the first Trump Presidency.

MSNBC has dismissed Joy Reid, a major critic of Trump, and like CNN, is perceived as reacting to Trump criticism by “bending the knee”.

Trump has also called for Rachel Maddow and Nicolle Wallace to be fired, but it seems that they are “safe” at this point, but clearly, there is pressure on that news channel.

Trump has also called for revoking FCC authorization for the major networks of NBC, ABC, and CBS.

The thought that a President could wield such threats is horrifying, and an indication that Trump is ready and willing to bring enough pressure to end the concept of a free press.

But the resistance to such a situation must be unrelenting, that no further concessions can be allowed to occur!

Donald Trump’s Attack On News Media And The Free Press

Donald Trump has declared war on a free news media, and is clearly out to do whatever he can to suppress truth and facts.

Trump and his party in Congress has threatened to take away the public support of National Public Radio (NPR) and Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).

He has launched lawsuits, or threatened such, against CBS, ABC, and major newspapers.

The Pentagon under Pete Hegseth has replaced major news media with work stations from the most substantial organizations to those with far less reputation and expertise.

So the following have been denied frontline status—NBC News, the NY Times, National Public Radio, Politico, CNN, Washington Post, and The Hill.

They are being replaced by: NY Post, Breitbart News, Daily Caller, Washington Examiner, One America News Network, Newsmax, and the Huffington Post, with all but the latter being right wing media sources.

These actions are designed to create an “obedient” news media that will inform the American people what propaganda Donald Trump and his administration want to be promoted as facts and truth, rather than actual reality, but it will not work, as a free press will defy Trump’s attempts to destroy the First Amendment!

Preemptive Pardons Essential To Protect Courageous Leaders!

There is growing discussion of the concept of “preemptive” pardons being given by President Joe Biden, to a whole group of political figures who helped investigate and bring Donald Trump and others around him to legal accountability, particularly for the January 6 US Capitol Insurrection, but also other illegal activities.

The list could include all members of the January 6 House Committee that investigated the Insurrection, but also others who have been openly critical of Donald Trump over the years, which is legion in numbers.

The fear is that Donald Trump and his FBI nominee Kash Patel want revenge and retribution against political “enemies”, and even those in journalism and the media, which makes for a list that could be massive.

Clearly, not everyone who might be endangered by civil or criminal charges that might be brought by the FBI can be calculated, as to the risk of prosecution.

But beyond the list this author and blogger presented two days ago, there is real concern about such politically courageous figures as:

Liz Cheney
Adam Kinzinger
Adam Schiff
Jamie Raskin
General Mark Milley
Prosecutor Jack Smith

and innumerable Trump Administration employees who broke with Trump.

Even Dr Anthony Fauci, who had such a sterling career since Ronald Reagan onward, has become the target of those lunatics who think that the Pandemic and response to it was mishandled, a disgraceful lie!

And there is danger to the free press, including the NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, and PBS, among others.

We are entering dark times, brought about by the stupidity, ignorance, and self-centeredness of so many Americans, including people I know personally, who only care about “Me, Myself and I”, and not the nation at large.

At this rate, our American democracy, rule of law, and enforcement of the Constitution is in dire straits!
