ICE Agents Abusing The Constitution, Acting Totally Lawless And Like The Nazi Gestapo Of Adolf Hitler!

ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), under Thomas Homan, Stephen Miller, and Kristi Noem, is acting in a totalitarian way, abusing the Constitution, and acting totally lawless, in their mass arrests and abuses against undocumented immigrants, most of whom are NOT criminals!

Mass raids and the use of the National Guard and US Marines in Los Angeles; the raiding of schools, hospitals, court houses, work places, private homes, and so many other locations; are destroying the lives of people who have no criminal record, and in some cases, are in fact, citizens of the United States, or people with green cards that allow them to remain in America.

There is no sense of ethics, morals, empathy, compassion, or decency among ICE agents and their evil leadership, so as a result, there have been examples of resistance by citizens who are then roughly dealt with, as if we live in a nation, similar to Nazi Germany’s Gestapo.

And the so called “Alligator Alcatraz” in the Everglades in South Florida is a total violation of basic human rights, with inadequate sanitary and other living facilities, very much like a concentration camp, and illegally constructed by the evil and arrogant Florida Governor Ron DeSantis!

Independence Day 2025 NOT A Day To Celebrate, As America Is In Constitutional Crisis!

Today is the 249th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, and it should be a day of celebration.

But it is extremely difficult to feel excitement or thrills, as America is on the cusp of Fascist authoritarianism after nearly six months of the second Donald Trump Presidency.

With many corporations, the Republican party in Congress, the Supreme Court, and some of the news media, kowtowing to Trump and his Cabinet and other supporters, the feeling is that what America fought for two and a half centuries ago, is being lost, without much hope of a turnaround any time soon.

The Democratic Party and the defiant news media sources continue to fight against the trends that have emerged, but now, with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) having a larger enforcement budget just enacted, it is clear what is occurring.

Mass arrests and deportations are violating the major tenets of our Constitution, and the Bill of Rights is under attack, with little likelihood of a challenge, at least short term, that will reverse the damage that has been done, and is being done by the “Big and Beautiful” Budget bill that just passed into law yesterday, and was, a short time ago, signed into law at a White House ceremony!

Trump Calling Out Marines For Domestic Use, And Threatening Arrest Of Gavin Newsom Totally Beyond The Pale!

President Donald Trump’s decision to call out the Marines for domestic use in Los Angeles to back up deportation raids, and his threat to arrest California Gavin Newsom, has escalated the crisis of Trump moving toward authoritarianism!

The possibility of the invoking of the Insurrection Act, when there is no rebellion or invasion, is horrifying, and moves America close to a true Fascist dictatorship, reminiscent in many ways to Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy.

And yet, millions of Americans seem content, as their racism, nativism, and lack of concern about anyone other than their selfish selves, is demonstrated for all to see.

The worship of money, and prejudice toward immigrants shows how sick and demented many Americans are, until the time comes, that they would become victims themselves.

When that horrifying moment occurs for many of these unprincipled, selfish people who only care about their financial bottom line, there will be no sympathy by those who have, vigorously, opposed Donald Trump and his evil supporters in the Republican Party, who are not patriots, but rather traitors to the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the rule of law!

Trump Utilizing National Guard In Los Angeles, Defying Governor And Mayor, Highly Unusual!

With immigration raids and arrests mounting all over the nation, but particularly in the major cities of Los Angeles and New York City, Donald Trump has taken the step of escalating his authoritarian impluses by deciding to utilize the National Guard in LA, against the wishes of Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass. It is extremely unusual and rare to take such an action against the recomendations of state and local officials.

This is clearly seen as a move toward total crackdown on basic civil liberties, perpetrated by Thomas Homan, Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, Pam Bondi, Pete Hegseth, and a host of other Trump appointees.

We have entered a “police state” situation, with great danger of massive violence and bloodshed, and it could spread quickly around the nation, and lead to the potential of civil war, a horrifying scenario!

There is no indication of massive violence, just of street protests, so this is a power grab by Trump and his government perpetrated to justify suspension of basic First Amendment rights.

It is not clear what can be done about the aggressive and abusive moves inititated by Donald Trump, so we are in a period of great mourning for our Constitution, rule of law, and American democracy!

Federal Judiciary, Including Appointees Of Trump, The Bushes, Reagan, Put Limits On Donald Trump Power!

The Federal Judiciary, including appointees of Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, and even Donald Trump, have been clamping down on abuse of executive power, to the fury of Trump.

The fact that even some of his own judicial appointees are holding Trump accountable says legions about the abuses of power going on.

This includes all three of Trump’s Supreme Court Justice appointments—Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett.

Trump seems to be ready to refuse to obey any Supreme Court decision, or lower courts, and if that ultimately occurs, then we are in a no win situation in which the President and his appointees are unaccountable in any fashion.

This is a terrifying scenario, with horrifying potential for disaster in so many ways.

Death threats are mounting against judges across the nation, and the President’s rhetoric is encouraging such intimidation.

It is getting more difficult for critics, including this author and blogger, to keep up their optimism that democracy, the rule of law, and the Constitution can, successfully, win out over the abuses of power going on in America, as we enter the fifth full month of the second Trump Presidency.

Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift, And Other Artists Challenge Trump Destructiveness, Inspiring Millions!

Leading entertainers, including most notably, Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift, recently, are speaking out about the cruelty and horrors of the policies of Donald Trump in the past four months.

It is causing Trump to act irrationally in his utterances on Truth Social and in public statements.

Trump is trying to silence these and other cultural critics, but they are refusing to back down, inspiring millions of Americans!

Insults and looney statements are only empowering such entertainers to ramp up their attacks on a President, who is acting in a dictatorial manner in a multitude of ways.

All Americans should honor and praise these entertainers for refusing to bend the knee, as giving in to a bully, which is what Trump is, only emboldens him to go further in abuses of power.

The same support is needed for news media, universities, law firms, and courageous politicians who are promoting resistance, as well as principled judges who are taking action to stop the abuses of power being promoted by the most dangerous President in American history.

It is such groups and individuals who will, in the long run of history, be seen as the true champions of the Constitution, rule of law, the Bill of Rights, and the promotion of freedom and democracy.

With the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence only 13 months away, these various champions of tolerance are the true heroes setting an example for all Americans!

Donald Trump Has Declared War On Supreme Court And Other Federal Courts’ Authority!

The nation is reaching a crucial turning point, as Donald Trump has attacked the seven members of the Supreme Court, who have ruled that he cannot use the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport immigrants without habeus corpus and due process.

Trump is ranting on Truth Social about this, and he and his MAGA Republican supporters have also unleashed attacks against District Court Judges and Appeals Court Judges who have ruled against his policies regarding deportation.

Chief Justice John Roberts has also made clear how disturbed he is at the attacks on the rule of law and the Constitution, as has Associate Justices Ketanji Brown Jackson, Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, and even Trump appointed Amy Coney Barrett.

The fact that all three Trump Supreme Court nominees, including Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, along with Barrett, have voted against him, and that some of the District and Appeals Court Judges who have done so, are Reagan, George H W Bush, George W Bush, and even some Trump appointees, is an indication of great alarm in the judicial branch about Trump’s grabbing of power and attacks on the validity and legitimacy of the courts!

It looks as if Trump and his Cabinet officers, particularly Attorney General Pam Bondi, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Thomas Homan, and White House Adviser Stephen Miller, are hell bent on breaking the law and the Constitution, and refusing to obey the federal courts.

This is, if not stopped, a full scale attack on civil liberties, the Bill of Rights, and endangers all Americans, that any excuse could be used, without evidence or investigation, leading to massive deportations to foreign dictatorships beyond just El Salvador, with no appeal or ability to reverse such totalitarian, Fascist actions!

Arrest Of Newark, New Jersey Mayor A Danger Sign On Civil Liberties Violations!

The arrest of Newark, New Jersey Mayor Ras Baraka for “trespassing” at a new Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility on Friday is a danger sign and alarm bell for the future of Civil Liberties and the Bill of Rights!

The totally horrendous Stephen Miller, White House Deputy Chief of Staff For Policy and Homeland Security Adviser to Donald Trump, is threatening that the writ of habeus corpus, guaranteed to everyone in the nation, not just citizens but all people in the country, might be suspended is a horrifying threat to the future of the American Republic.

Claiming an “invasion” by immigrants, which is not so, and with no declaration of war, is a massive abuse of the Constitution, and the federal courts, and specifically, the Supreme Court, needs to intervene expeditiously and prevent any such edict!

Donald Trump is the Disruptor in Chief.

He has declared the Gulf of Mexico is the Gulf of America.

He wants Veterans Day (November 11) and V E Day (May 8) to be renamed.

He wants Alcatraz, an infamous prison off of San Francisco, closed six decades ago and a much visited national park since then, to be renovated and reopened for the “worst of the worst” criminals.

He has no shame, and portrays himself as a potential Pope before the Catholic Church conclave to select the successor to Pope Francis.

He also shares the image of Darth Vader on “Star Wars Day”, May 4, as a muscular image of himself.

He wants to put tariffs on foreign produced films.

He wants to purge the Smithsonian Institution and its various museums of any references to race and gender.

He has mounted an attack on higher education at the top Ivy League universities.

He wonders if he must obey the Consitution that he swore the oath to enforce both in 2017 and 2025.

He wants anyone opposed to him and his actions in the past and present to be prosecuted by a Justice Department that is his personal fiefdom.

He has taken action against corporations, law firms, and media organizations to force them into compliance or face the consequences.

He refuses to make sure the laws are faithfully executed, even from federal courts, and doubts about the veracity of “due process”.

He lies incessantly without a sense of shame or guilt, and no one can trust anything he says.

There has never been a President anything like him, not even Richard Nixon at his worst!

Trump “Meet The Press” Interview Highly Disturbing!

To commemorate his first 100 Days in Office, Donald Trump had an interview with Kristen Welker of NBC’s “Meet the Press”.

Trump expressed doubt that he had to obey the federal courts on the issue of the Alien Enemies Act not being able to be used as a justification of mass deportation of immigrants, with many of them going to the horrendous prison in El Salvador that the Trump Administration is paying to take many deported migrants, many of whom are not involved in any Venezuelan gang, or having an otherwise criminal record. This includes Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, a case which has been dragging on for nearly two months.

The idea of due process seems insignificant to Trump, and he “passed the buck” to Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is outrageous in her utterances, along with many other Trump Cabinet members!

So America is in a clear constitutional crisis, but also Trump is creating continued crises over his “expansionist” goals in foreign policy.

Therefore, Trump doubled down on the concept of taking Greenland away from Denmark, possibly by military force, and will continue to promote Canada as the “51st State”, when he meets this week with the Canadian Prime Minister, Mark Carney, whose party had an amazing revival in the recent national elections.

He also insulted Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett for being outspoken, calling her low level intellect, a characterization he used in 2024 against his Presidential opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris. So the common theme is to insult intelligent, educated, outspoken black women, a clear sign of racism!

Trump came across during the interview as overly combative, delusional, and clearly intending to defy the Constitution, rule of law, and the federal courts!
