The “G Traitors And Seditionists”—Matt Gaetz, Louie Gohmert, Paul Gosar, Marjorie Taylor Greene!

The Republican Party has become a party of traitors and seditionists, unwilling to accept reality that Donald Trump incited the January 6, 2021 US Capitol Insurrection!

Only a small few have been willing to fight against the “party line” promoted by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and others in the party, who instead are attacking Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger as “Pelosi Republicans” for their willingness to join in the investigation by the January 6 House Committee, which began yesterday.

A particularly obscene group of four House Republican members, which should be known as the “G Traitors and Seditionists”—Matt Gaetz of Florida, Louie Gohmert of Texas, Paul Gosar of Arizona, and Marjorie Taylor Greene—held a press conference after yesterday’s hearing, trying to negate the courage shown by the four police officers—Harry Dunn and Aquilino Gonell of the US Capitol Police and Michael Fanone and Daniel Hodges of the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department.

These four disgraces need to be prosecuted and expelled from the Congress, as traitors to the Constitution, American democracy, and the rule of law!

First Day Testimony Of Four Police Officers Before The January 6 Commission Gripping And Emotional!

Today’s first day testimony of four police officers before the January 6 Commission on the January 6 Insurrection was truly gripping and very emotional.

All four officers demonstrated great courage in how they handled themselves on January 6, working to protect the US Capitol and the members of Congress who were threatened that day by seditionists and traitors.

Particularly disturbing was the description by an African American officer of the racist statements made to his face by these insurrectionists.

Particular kudos are due to Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger for their commitment to truth, facts, and holding those accountable for the disgraceful violence and bloodshed of that day.

The Republican leadership, led by Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, is destroying the image of the party as supporters of the law enforcement community, by their denial of reality of what truly happened on January 6.

Kevin McCarthy must be called to testify, and not be allowed to evade responsibility for his sins in backing Donald Trump in this debacle.

Adam Kinzinger Second Republican Added To January 6 House Committee Investigation By Nancy Pelosi

The House Select Committee on the January 6 US Capitol Insurrection has been greatly improved by the announcement of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi that Illinois Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger has agreed to join the investigation.

Kinzinger, like the other House Republican on the committee, Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming, is a solid conservative who does not support most Democratic Party ideas and values, but they are both, ultimately, patriots who understand that what happened on January 6, 2021 was an attack on the Constitution, American democracy, and the rule of law.

Both Kinzinger and Cheney are strong critics of Donald Trump, and make clear that he has hijacked the Republican Party and the conservative movement, and is a threat to the survival of the Republican Party and the conservative ideology, but both are willing to do what is necessary for the betterment of the nation.

Both have, and will continued to experience, bitter and vicious attacks, and will face tough primaries in the Midterm Congressional elections of 2022, and may lose their seats and even membership on committees as a result.

But they are putting the nation ahead of their own personal interests, and one can wish that they will add a great deal to the investigation of January 6, and help to hold those complicit in that attack on the US Capitol, to the full extent of the law.

Since there would be little chance of the Illinois district of Kinzinger going to the Democrats, and likekly, zero chance of the state of Wyoming At Large Congressional district going Democratic, we can all wish that both Kinzinger and Cheney are successful in retaining their seats in the House of Representatives in November 2022.

Even if that does not happen, they will be well remembered in history as “Profiles in Courage”!

Nancy Pelosi Rejects Jim Jordan And Jim Banks For January 6 House Committee Investigation, And Kevin McCarthy Pulls All Five Appointees!

It looks as if the January 6 House Committee investigation of the US Capitol Insurrection will only have one patriotic, principled Republican on the committee, Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming, who already has been stripped of her third ranking position as House Republican Chair by order of House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy!

By McCarthy selecting Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio and Congressman Jim Banks of Indiana, both out to cover up the Insurrection scandal and Donald Trump, to the committee shows McCarthy is not serious, and already, the two earlier Republican leaders, Speaker John Boehner and Speaker Paul Ryan, have condemned his desire to defend Donald Trump and undermine any investigation.

So Speaker Nancy Pelosi is courageous and proper in refusing those two appointees to the House Committee, and McCarthy has withdrawn all five members and refuses to participate on the committee.

This will not work out well for McCarthy, who is a disgraceful leader, only interested in his own advancement to the Speakership in the next Congress.

McCarthy also has the gall to call Pelosi the “lame duck Speaker”, so cocksure of himself that the Republicans will win the House of Representatives in 2022.

No one is smart to bet money on Nancy Pelosi losing the Speakership, although she might decide to retire at the end of the 117th Congress, but that is unknowable at this point!

It is more likely that McCarthy will fail to become Speaker, and might even be rejected by his GOP colleagues even if the party were to win control, and he could also come under indictment for failing to explain his interactions with Donald Trump on January 6, and his fawning obedience to Trump ever since January 6, even though he condemned Trump on January 13, when Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives!

Liz Cheney just defended Nancy Pelosi, and condemned Kevin McCarthy, and kudos to her for that, as she is seriously interested in learning all of the facts and truth about January 6, so it does not happen again!

Six Months Since January 6 US Capitol Insurrection

It has been six months since the January 6, 2021 US Capitol Insurrection.

Over 500 seditionists and traitors to the US Constitution have been arrested for the domestic violence, bloodshed, and destruction they perpetrated on the cradle of American democracy, and they need the full effect of law enforcement to be brought upon them.

The investigation of what happened that day is moving ahead whether or not Kevin McCarthy, Mitch McConnell and the Republican Congressional members want it to procede.

Those members of Congress or their staffs who collaborated in the events of that day need to be prosecuted and expelled from Congress.

White supremacy must be eliminated from the halls of Congress, and Donald Trump needs to be indicted for insurrection, treason, and sedition, and be shown in handcuffs, and sentenced to federal prison, as in the same disgraced company of such traitors as Benedict Arnold, Aaron Burr, Jefferson Davis and others in the American past!

A salute to Republicans Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois for being supportive of the January 6 House Committee creation, and Cheney’s accepting membership offered by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi!

Enhanced defense and readiness for the US Capitol is essential, due to the right wing threats of more violence, due to the QAnon promotion of the crazy idea of Donald Trump returning to the Presidency in August.

And greater protection is required of President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, their families, and the same for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and other Democratic and Republican members of Congress who have expressed loyalty to the Constitution and rule of law!

The Long List Of Tragically Flawed, Unpatriotic Republicans Who Might Run For President In 2024!

Already, just six months since the January 6 US Capitol Insurrection and early successes of President Joe Biden, we are witnessing early hints of the large group of potential Republican candidates for President in 2024, who have demonstrated they are tragically flawed and unpatriotic, and would seem to be unable to be seen as legitimate alternatives for the White House. These Republicans continue to back Donald Trump, and promote the “Big Lie”!

The list is so long, but here is a list of such disgraces who think they are entitled to be President, despite their sedition and treason six months ago. Also, there are many others who through their continued support of the authoritarian Fascist Donald Trump, complicates any of these characters deciding to run whether or not Trump decides to try again for President, and in so doing, is promoting white supremacy, violence and bloodshed!

How does one list a group of 16 individuals who are the absolute worst Republicans in any sense of order? But here goes:

Liz Cheney Appointed By Nancy Pelosi To January 6 House Committee

Wyoming Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney, daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, a major critic of Donald Trump and the US Capitol January 6 Insurrection, has agreed to be part of the House Committee being organized by the Democratic majority in the House of Representatives.

A strong conservative, nevertheless, Cheney voted to impeach Donald Trump in the second impeachment, and also supported a January 6 Commission to investigate the treason and sedition of Trump supporters who attacked the US Capitol, caused the deaths of five people, including Brian Sicknick, and injured overall more than 140 Capitol Police on that disgraceful day.

But the Republicans refused to cooperate in the investigation, so Pelosi has gone ahead and formed a Select Committee instead, and Cheney courageously decided to join by appointment of her ideological opponent, the Speaker of the House, because she knows that a full investigation of the tragedy is essential.

Cheney emphasized allegiance to the Constitution and rule of law, and the importance of a peaceful transfer of power between Presidencies, which has been the hallmark of American democracy for nearly 250 years!

With July 4 coming in two days, patriotism is more important than loyalty to a corrupt, authoritarian oriented leader, who wishes to establish a dictatorship, and destroy the American political tradition!

A Salute To The Ten House Members and 7 Senators Who Supported Impeachment And Conviction Of Donald Trump!

It takes courage and principle for a political figure to speak up for truth and transparency.

It is much easier to go “with the crowd”, to stay silent and conform, but a total of 17 Republicans, 10 in the House of Representatives, and 7 in the Unites States Senate, stand out for their convictions and commitment to the truth.

They deserve credit, as they have been pilloried for disloyalty to Donald Trump, and have been censured by their state Republican party organizations.

In the long run of history, they will be remembered, as members of Congress who opposed the majority, and suffered mightily at the time, but look strong and determined in retrospect.

When these 17 Republicans leave Congress and when their earthly journey comes to a end, their stand on Donald Trump’s impeachment will be part of their eventual obituary.

And if not to have principles and conscience, what is the whole point of public service?

Elise Stefanik Sells Her Soul To Grab Third Ranking Position In House From Liz Cheney

New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has sold her soul to Donald Trump at the young age of 36, grabbing the third ranking House Republican leadership position from Liz Cheney.

Starting off as a moderate Republican, Stefanik has now proved she is a sycophant, bowing to the Fascist dictator, Donald Trump, who is destroying the Republican Party.

By all rights, Stefanik should lose her seat, as she has no conscience, and cannot fathom that Liz Cheney is totally accurate in her view of the January 6 Capitol Insurrection.

Instead, Stefanik has swallowed the “Big Lie”, that Donald Trump won the Presidential Election of 2020 over Joe Biden, when more than 60 legal cases, and the Supreme Court, proved otherwise!

Stefanik is a traitor to American values, and will go down in history as having backed a criminal conspiracy, while Cheney will go down in history as a “Profile in Courage”.

This has nothing to do with whether one agrees with Cheney on her conservative values, which this author disagrees with profusely, but simply standing for American democracy and the Constitution against an authoritarian, Fascist take over that is destroying the heritage of the Republican Party in history!

Republican Party Survival Only Possible Long Term With Those Who Reject The “Big Lie” Of Donald Trump!

The Republican Party is at an historic crossroads.

If it continues to back the “Big Lie” of Donald Trump, that he won the Presidential Election of 2020, then it will be destroyed, and go into the dustbin of history, as no party can have its future based on a criminal President who was impeached twice, and lost the popular vote twice by massive margins, and only won the first time due to Russian collusion!

The January 6, 2021 Capitol Insurrection cannot be covered up, and dismissed, as it was an attack on American democracy at its core!

Anyone backing Donald Trump at this point is spoiled goods, and only is inciting division that endangers domestic tranquility, and is a direct threat for civil disorder.

Worship of a man is dangerous, and reminds us of Benito Mussolini and Fascist Italy; Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany; and Joseph Stalin and the Soviet Union.

So the leadership of the future must be people such as Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, and Lisa Murkowski, or else the need for a new conservative mainstream party is an urgency!
