Eisenhower And Reagan Commitment To Internationalism Being Rejected By Donald Trump And “America First” Extremism!

The Republican Party before World War II was dominated by America First Isolationism, led by Ohio Senator Robert Taft, “Mr Conservative Republican”, and Michigan Senator Arthur Vandenberg.

However, Vandenberg abandoned isolationism with the beginning of the Cold War with the Soviet Union after World War II, but with Taft still pursuing isolationism.

But in 1952, when Taft sought the Presidency, he was stopped by World War II hero Dwight D. Eisenhower, who was able to shift American foreign policy to support of the international community, including support of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and commitment to fighting Communist expansion around the world.

The majority of Republicans who pursued bipartisanship in foreign policy continued, and reached a new peak under Ronald Reagan in the 1980s, and with the Presidencies of George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush.

However, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan provoked the emergence of a strong opposition to the policy of interventionism, and also led to those who started to see the Russian Federation that followed the downfall of the Soviet Union in 1991 as not a nation to be seen as “the enemy”.

Donald Trump became the leader of the attack on the interventionist past of the Republican Party from 1952-2016. Now, many Republicans in Congress back Trump on his isolationist bent, including his Vice Presidential running mate, JD Vance.

This is a dangerous trend, and cozying up to Vladimir Putin and the Russian Federation with their war in Ukraine is an alarm bell in the middle of the night, as accepting authoritarianism is a trend toward Fascism!

Facing Reality: Voting For Trump Means President Vance!

Donald Trump is clearly in cognitive decline, for anyone who has a brain, and watches how Trump acts at rallies, and his lunatic statements promoting threats and violence.

If somehow he is elected, it seems clear that, mentally, Donald Trump will not survive a four year term in stable mental shape, and with his overweight and other medical issues that he refuses to share with the American people, the odds are good that he might not survive the term.

So face reality, that voting for Donald Trump means President JD Vance is very likely, or at the long range scenario, Vance, if not becoming President during the term, will have a very good possibility of following Trump by election in the White House.

So when voting, one has to think about the concept of JD Vance, a chameleon, massive liar, and a nasty individual to boot, who has been promoted by billionaires, including Peter Thiel and Elon Musk, because the odds are very high that he would succeed Trump during the term.

With Vance being a heartbeat away from the Oval Office, and the fact of the Project 2025 architects and others who already were abusing power in the first Trump Administration, but gained pardons from Trump, likely to have a major role in the operation of the government over the next four years, the conclusion is clear!

This should be enough motivation for Americans to cast their vote for Kamala Harris, as the only alternative to save the nation from Fascism!

JD Vance Beyond The Pale, Attacking Bob Woodward For Revealing Trump Contacts With Putin After Presidency

Republican Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance is a true nightmare, lying incessantly; promoting racism, nativism, and misogyny; insulting in the most nasty terms anyone who has the truth and facts about Donald Trump’s transgressions!

Now, Vance is attacking Bob Woodward, the Watergate reporter of great renown, who is publishing a new book about the truth surrounding Donald Trump, including:

that he gave COVID 19 vaccines to Putin while President,

that he has had multiple contacts with Putin since leaving office,

and has likely shared national security information with the Russian dictator who has waged war on Ukraine for more than two and a half years and counting.

So JD Vance shows his nastiness and ignorance when he says he is surprised that Bob Woodward is still alive!

And clearly, Vance seems oblivious to the significance of Bob Woodward in exposing the corruption of the Watergate Scandal and Richard Nixon, and his continued exposure of the shocking words and actions of Donald Trump in his Presidency and since.

So now, Vance is promoting discrimination toward those are aged, except of course, Donald Trump, who is only three years younger than Woodward, and clearly is mentally deranged and dangerous, unlike Bob Woodward!

And of course, JD Vance, in his heart, KNOWS that Donald Trump is dangerous and unfit to be President, but his own ambitions to promote the viewpoints of extremist right wing tycoons like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel, prevents him from protecting the Constitution, American democracy, and the rule of law!

It is clear that it is not just Donald Trump who is a threat and a danger.

The thought of a 40 year old first term US Senator with not even two years in office, willing to lie about his earlier thoughts about Donald Trump, in his incessant promotion of his own ambitions is horrifying, and a threat greater than Trump himself.

So the need for a sound defeat of both Trump and Vance is urgent, and the American people have to be convinced, as many Republicans and conservatives not in elected office fully understand, the reason they are backing Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the upcoming Presidential Election of 2024!

Trump’s Mental Instability And Deterioration Getting Worse Every Day!

Not enough attention has been paid to the rapid mental deterioration of Donald Trump that he demonstrates daily at his campaign rallies and in his statements on Truth Social.

When one compares his ranting and raving, and his massive exaggerations in all he says and publishes, it is clear he is not mentally stable to lead our nation and have control of the nuclear codes.

Many complained that Joe Biden was clearly in some decline mentally, but nothing as threatening and dangerous as Trump has presented to anyone who has any sense of wanting normality in behavior and public statements.

Trump would be a danger to everyone, and yet his wife and children seem oblivious to his mental state, and Republican office holders just ignore his behavior, as if it is normal.

The nation cannot survive four years of this maniacal behavior, so it is clear JD Vance would have greater power and authority than any Vice President has ever had.

But Vance himself has demonstrated that he is a liar, a chameleon, a person who is in league with right wing tech tycoons, who do not wish well for the vast variety of Americans.

A technology run dictatorship, with Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, and others is a horrifying thought, and it is urgent that the message get out that, as Liz Cheney and many other Republicans and conservatives who are not presently office holders have made clear, that it is extremely necessary for people who may not agree with Democratic nominee Kamala Harris on every issue, to see her as the only alternative to save American democracy, the Constitution, and the rule of law!

Vice Presidential Debate Indecisive, But Tim Walz Continues To Have Higher Public Opinion Rating!

Last night’s CBS Tim Walz-JD Vance Vice Presidential Debate was indecisive, as Tim Walz did not go for the “jugular vein” of JD Vance, giving him a pass on his “cat ladies” comment and his promotion of the Springfield Haitian immigrants controversy, which Walz brought up, but did not go far enough. Overall, the tone of the debate was more civil than one might have expected.

Early indications are that Vance was seen as having performed somewhat better, although it was very troubling that he was unwilling to say Donald Trump lost the Presidential Election of 2020, amid indications he would be willing to contest the results in a similar situation after this year’s election.

Walz seemed a bit tentative in his debate style, so in that sense, he was disappointing, but still the public perception of Walz is much higher than that of Vance.

Stylistically, Vance can be perceived overall as a better debater, but he engaged in lying in many of his statements, with Walz giving him a pass.

History tells us that Vice Presidential debates do not determine election results, so in that sense, Walz did not have a specific blunder that would undermine the Democratic Party Presidential campaign.

Sad Attack On Immigration, When Immigrants Have Always Been The Lifeblood Of American Progress!

Donald Trump and JD Vance have waged war on immigration, demonizing immigrants from Haiti and Venezuela specifically, but really promoting the concept of nativism–that America should not welcome “foreigners”, despite the reality that it is immigrants who have been the lifeblood of America since its founding.

First, it was French immigrants in the 1790s who were victimized by the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798.

Then it was Irish and German Catholic immigrants who were victims of hate and prejudice in the 1840s and 1850s, including the creation of a nativist party, the American or “Know Nothing” party.

Then, it was Italian and Polish Catholic and Eastern European Jewish immigrants in the fifty years from the 1870s to the 1920s who were subjected to discrimination, leading to restrictive immigration laws passed under President Calvin Coolidge in the 1920s.

Asian immigration–from first China until banned in 1882—and then Japan, banned in 1924— suffered from terrible mistreatment and hatred.

Latin American immigration, particularly from Mexico, but from all of the nations of the hemisphere, was subjected to constant discrimination, and still are, with the one exception of Cuban immigration due to the perceived threat of Fidel Castro after 1959.

And as people migrate to escape bloodshed, violence, and poverty from nations around the globe, they face new demagoguery now being promoted by the Republican Party under Trump and Vance, and this despite the fact that Trump’s third wife is an immigrant, and Vance’s wife is from an immigrant family.

Kamala Harris Has Moved Into Lead In Polls, Two Months After Entrance Into Presidential Campaign

Two months after Democrat Kamala Harris entered the Presidential race, and two weeks after the ABC Harris-Trump debate that Harris clearly won, finally she has moved into the lead in multiple polls.

Particularly among women, Harris has a commanding lead, creating what is for now at least a clear gender gap, as with men, Trump is slightly ahead or there is a even balance, depending on the poll.

Harris is also ahead among college educated voters and voters over the age of 50, while Trump is ahead among non college educated voters and voters under 50.

However, younger and first time voters (those under 30) have been inspired by Harris’s candidacy, in a way that they were not feeling toward Joe Biden.

Also, it is clear that Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz is inspirational, and helping Harris greatly in gaining public support.

And now we are nine days away from the CBS Vice Presidential debate on Tuesday October 1 between Walz and Republican Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance, who is polling horribly, regarded as the worst VP nominee in modern times, even worse than Sarah Palin in 2008, which is quite a statement!

Donald Trump Promotes Open Racism And Antisemitism: Will Republicans React Against This?

Donald Trump and JD Vance are promoting open racism by their continued insistence on spreading the lie that Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio are eating pet cats and dogs.

The Republican mayor and the Republican governor have made it clear that no such situation has ever existed, but both Trump and Vance continue to cause turmoil on this issue, causing bomb threats and shutdowns of schools and hospitals and other public venues by right wing hate mongers who are encouraged by the rhetoric of Trump and Vance.

And now, Trump is planning to go to Springfield, when he should be told he is not welcome, and the Secret Service should make it clear that it will not endorse such a visit, as it has no purpose but to promote racism and prejudice!

Beyond the Haitian immigrant situation, now Trump has told American Jews, that if he loses the election in November, it will be their fault, because about three quarters of Jews vote Democratic! This is open antisemitism, and anyone who is Jewish, or who cares about Jewish matters, should openly condemn Trump, as what he is promoting is like perpetuating Adolf Hitler’s attacks on Jews.

The open racism and antisemitism of Trump must be condemned by all decent people, and for anyone who is Jewish to go ahead and vote for him is pure insanity!

Lack Of Respect For Kamala Harris By Republicans Based On Race And Gender

It is very clear that Republicans, led by Donald Trump and JD Vance, but including many others, are demonstrating a lack of respect for Kamala Harris, based on race and gender.

The purposeful refusal of Trump, Vance, and other Republicans to pronounce Kamala Harris’s first name correctly is one sign of disrespect that is inexcusable, as that has never happened to any other candidate before now.

Also, the issue of Trump making an issue of Harris’s race identity is an insult, with his claim that he thought she was Asian Indian, until he discovered she was black, an outrageous racist comment, and utilized by other Republicans.

Also, the issue of Harris not having had her own biological children has become an issue, and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the Arkansas Governor and former White House Press Secretary, has just employed that issue as a personal attack on Harris.

The fact that Harris has step children with her husband, Doug Emhoff, and that his former wife is very supportive of Harris as a step parent to her children, is ridiculed.

But it is also an attack on the millions of women who are unable to have children of their own, including by choice, but also by the fact that many are not married or have medical issues that make it impossible to bear children.

To make it out that women without biological children are somehow inferior or to be ridiculed is heartless, when having children or not having them should not be a judgment of them, anymore than the millions of men who do not have children for whatever reason.

It should be pointed out that we have had five Presidents who never had biological children, but were never ridiculed or attacked for that fact. They include George Washington, James Madison, Andrew Jackson, James K. Polk, and James Buchanan (who never married). Washington, Madison and Jackson had step children since their wives had children with an earlier husband.

Also, Warren G Harding has been proved to have had an illegitimate child out of marriage, and many of the slave owning Presidents before the Civil War are believed to have had slave children, but difficult to prove.

The ultimate point is that race and gender discrimination of any kind is inexcusable in a Presidential campaign or otherwise!

JD Vance Is Outrageous In Rhetoric Against Kamala Harris!

Ohio Senator JD Vance, the Vice Presidential nominee with Donald Trump, has become a “clear and present danger” by his outrageous rhetoric, simply by asserting that Kamala Harris has not been threatened with her life, as Donald Trump has now been twice threatened by potential assassins. That is totally inappropriate to say by any candidate!

It is Trump and Vance who have been speaking and threatening bloodshed and violence, and unwillingness to accept election results, and it is the Republican Presidential team which is using incendiary language and promoting racism, misogyny and causing grief to Haitian immigrants and the city of Springfield, Ohio!

Considering that Trump and Vance have utilized confrontational language and attacked the news media for reporting their evil deeds, it is them that have provoked danger and hatred, not Kamala Harris, or Joe Biden, or Tim Walz! Their incendiary language provokes unstable people, and is a danger to public safety!

Trump has talked about a “dictatorship on Day One”, which requires a response.

JD Vance has spread rumors that have caused a crisis in Springfield, Ohio, and refused to stop spreading lies and fear, and he needs to be held accountable.

His mistreatment of Dana Bash of CNN last Sunday showed he is a dangerous demagogue, who must not be allowed to become a heartbeat away from the Presidency!

Donald Trump has given us a nightmare candidate in JD Vance, clearly the most dangerous and disgraceful nominee in modern history for the number two office, making Sarah Palin and Dan Quayle look far better!
