As one watches and analyzes the January 6, 2021 Insurrection at the US Capitol, it becomes ever more stunning and shocking as to how gullible, how ignorant, how bamboozled, millions upon millions of Americans are regarding Donald Trump!

Any sane, intelligent person would realize that Donald Trump is a charlatan, a phony, a crook, who has exploited people throughout his lifetime, but he has always been able to get away without accountability, other than having to pay some monetary judgments!

The lack of education and good judgment of millions of Americans, who “worship” Donald Trump, and are a cult like group who would follow him anywhere, is terrifying!

And the fact that Donald Trump has never won the popular vote, and has had a deficit unmatched by any other Presidential candidate, a total of nearly ten million negative support in two elections, is clearcut evidence of the dire need to change the Presidential election system, so that, as with other elections at any level, the winner of the most votes is inaugurated!

The Electoral College has become a system that undermines American democracy!

Donald Trump Should Be Facing Charges For January 6, 2021 Insurrection!

With the January 6 House Committee deep into its public hearings and testimony about the January 6, 2021 Insurrection, the evidence is building up of former President Donald Trump’s direct involvement and incitement of the horrendous events of that day at the US Capitol.

Can any sane person really believe that Trump does not have a major input into what happened, including his association with the “Proud Boys” and “Oath Keepers” domestic terrorist groups; and the involvement of a multitude of people around him in laying plans for the chaos of that day?

Can a President who endorsed harm against his own Vice President, Mike Pence, be allowed to go without charges that any other person would face?

It is clear that Donald Trump knew and knows he lost the 2020 Presidential election, but his own ego and Fascist authoritarian leanings made him unwilling to accept reality!

It is a difficult issue for the Justice Department and Attorney General Merrick Garland to take action, but if the Constitution and rule of law are to matter in the future, then Donald Trump must face charges!

Liz Cheney And Adam Kinzinger Are Heroes For Upholding The Constitution And Rule Of Law!

As the January 6 House Committee has opened its public hearings, one thing is very clear!

Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Congressman Adam Kinzinger of Illinois are heroes for upholding the Constitution and rule of law!

Sadly, there are only a handful of other Republicans who are upholding the Constitution and rule of law in the 2022 Republican party.

Cheney is in a battle for her House seat, after having been stripped of her third ranking position, as House Republican Conference Chair. Despite her father, Dick Cheney, having been earlier a Congressman for ten years, the Wyoming Republican Party has repudiated her, and she faces a hotly contested primary with a Donald Trump endorsed opponent.

Adam Kinzinger is not running for reelection, since his seat has been eliminated by the loss of an Illinois Congressional seat in the 2020 Census, but he has also been repudiated by the Republican Party in his state, and even by family members.

History will record them in a positive fashion, while the historical image of their opponents, including Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan, and innumerable others, will be condemned for sure!

The January 6 House Committee Hearings On The Insurrection Begin Tonight

After nearly a year, and herculean efforts, the January 6 House Committee is beginning public hearings this evening.

They should provide gripping testimony to the realities of the attack on the US Capitol, and all networks, except Fox News Channel, are covering them live for the nation.

These hearings are similar to the Watergate hearings under Richard Nixon 50 years ago, and the Iran-Contra hearings under Ronald Reagan 35 years ago.

Hopefully, they will lead to action and prosecution, including of Donald Trump and his minions, who engaged clearly in sedition and treason!

Donald Trump Had No Concern About The Threats To The Life Of Mike Pence!

It is stunning and hard to fathom that a President would have no concern about the threats to the life of his Vice President.

Yes, Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr did not get along.

Neither did John Quincy Adams and John C. Calhoun get along.

And also, Andrew Jackson and Calhoun were at odds.

But never has a President welcomed harm on his Vice President, as Donald Trump did toward Mike Pence on January 6, 2021!

He showed support for the lynching, the hanging, of Mike Pence!

This is incomprehensible, that any political leader would not be concerned, and loyal to those who work around him!

How could any decent human being, no matter what his political and ideological loyalties, support and continue to excuse Donald Trump for his lack of empathy, decency, compassion, toward even his own Vice President?

But Donald Trump has no regard for human life, and this will be exposed by the January 6 US House Committee, as it starts holding public hearings on this Thursday evening, June 9!

Donald Trump needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, as a seditionist, a traitor, a criminal, whose lust for power encouraged massive lawlessness and destruction at the US Capitol!

Profiles In Courage Awards Of JFK Presidential Library 2022–Defending Democracy

The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library has given out “Profile In Courage” Awards since 1989.

The award recognizes public officials at the federal, state, or local level whose actions demonstrate the qualities of politically courageous leadership in the spirit of John F. Kennedy’s Pulitzer Prize winning book of 1957.

This year, Congresswoman Liz Cheney, Republican of Wyoming; Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, Democrat of Michigan; House Speaker Russell “Rusty” Bowers, Republican of Arizona; Wandrea’ ArShaye Moss, Elections Department Employee, Fulton County, Georgia; and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine are being given the award for “Defending Democracy At Home And Abroad”.

All of the above, except for Zelenskyy have been involved in fighting Donald Trump and the “Big Lie” about the Presidential Election of 2020.

Liz Cheney has been unwavering in her support of the investigation of the January 6, 2021 Insurrection at the US Capitol, despite having lost her House leadership position, and facing a tough reelection primary in Wyoming.

It is worrisome that too many Secretaries of State across the nation are being challenged for reelection, with the purpose being to “fix” the results of upcoming elections, including the 2022 Midterms and the 2024 Presidential Election. This struggle includes Jocelyn Benson of Michigan.

And Elections Department employees are being threatened in their commitment to fair and unbiased election counts, including Wandrea’ ArShaye Moss of Georgia.

And some Republicans on the state level are resisting Donald Trump conspiracy theorists about the election of Joe Biden, including Arizona House Speaker Russell “Rusty” Bowers.

And Zelenskyy has been miraculous and courageous in defending Ukraine against Russia, seen by many as a modern Winston Churchill!

Five Republican House Members, Including Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Subpoenaed

The January 6 House Committee has subpoenaed Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, and four other House Republicans, to testify about the January 6, 2021 Insurrection.

The others are Jim Jordan of Ohio, Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, Mo Brooks of Alabama, and Andy Biggs of Arizona.

All clearly committed treason and sedition, or have agreed to cover up on the truth and facts of that fateful day!

All of them should face penalties, and being barred from facing election in the future, unless they cooperate in the January 6 investigation!

Open, Abusive And Non Embarrassed Lying Now The Republican Playbook!

It is now perfectly clear to anyone with a brain, ethics, morality, and common decency that the Republican Party has become a party of open, abusive, and non embarrassed lying about everything imaginable!

It has also become a party with fake religiosity, and willing to take away the basic civil rights of racial minorities, women, and gays and transgender individuals!

The Republican Party backs a tyrant who did great harm to American democracy, and most members of that party, with a very few exceptions, have no issue with the possibility that Donald Trump might be their nominee again in 2024!

The horrific US Capitol Insurrection, in which Republicans, as well as Democrats, were in dire danger of their lives, seems to have been pushed to the wayside by gutless members of the party, who have no concern about the damage, injuries, and deaths caused by a lawless mob of traitors and seditionists!

How can a person such as Kevin McCarthy sleep at night with a clear conscience, knowing he is truly a coward and a sycophant who puts his own personal advancement ahead of everything else?

How can criminal elements who want a Fascist authoritarian government, be allowed to move forward on their plans for the future in 2024 and beyond?

This crisis America is in could end up worse than the Civil War, if decent people stand by and allow a corrupt party and obscence individuals to steal our government and impose the potential of martial law on this nation, which has survived so many earlier challenges!

“Civil War” Likely Within Republican Caucus In House Of Representatives Over Kevin McCarthy Comments

With more revelations about Republicah House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and his phone calls after the January 6, 2021 US Capitol Insurrection being exposed, it seems ever more likely that IF the Republicans win control of the House of Representatives in the Midterm Congressional Elections of 2022, there will be open “civil war” over him becoming Speaker of the House!

It seems clear that the most right wing and seditionist oriented Republicans in the House Caucus will refuse to back Kevin McCarthy to be Speaker, so only if the Republicans gain a massive margin in the House races this fall, will McCarthy manage to be elected Speaker.

The thought of Kevin McCarthy being Speaker is a nightmare, as he has no principles, ethics, or morals, and is a massive liar who bends to the will of Donald Trump.

But the alternative choice could be an even more extremist member, such as Jim Jordan of Ohio, and that could lead to a major constitutional crisis, as such a Speaker would certainly wreak havoc on the House, and declare war on Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, the Democrats, and lead to likely revenge investigations of the member of the January 6 House Committee.

Somehow, the effort to keep a Democratic majority, even if it goes against history in midterm elections, is essential for the survival of the reputation of Congress and the stability of American democracy into the future!

Mark Meadows EMails: Revelations Of House Republicans Conspiring To Overthrow 2020 Election Results!

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows has released emails now being examined by the House January 6 Committee, and they demonstrate how many Republican members of Congress, particularly in the House of Representatives, were conspiring to overthrow the Presidential Election of 2020 results.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Madison Cawthorn, Matt Gaetz, Louie Gohmert, Paul Gosar, Mo Brooks and others should all face prosecution and incarceration, as they have been shown to be traitors and seditionists.

And several US Senators, including Ted Cruz most notably, along with others not in Congress, including Rudy Guiliani, Steve Bannon, Mike Lindell, and others were conspiring to keep Donald Trump in office, despite the fact that he had not won enough states and electoral votes.

There will be hearings of the January 6 House Committee coming in June, and they will be as gripping and revealing as the Watergate hearings were five decades ago!
