American Urban Areas Dominate Economy, But Are Controlled By Hostile State Governments And Trump Hostility!

The latest economic statistics demonstrate how American cities and urban areas dominate the American economy.

Metropolitan areas accounted for 90.8 percent of the nation’s economic output; employ 88.2 percent of the American population; and house 86.4 percent of the people of the nation.

The total land mass of cities and urban areas are, overall, a small percentage of the total land of the nation, but rural areas, while certainly significant, particularly in regards to agriculture, have a very small total influence on the nation.

But many state legislatures, dominated by rural conservative and often Republican power centers, make life difficult for their metropolitan areas and populations, not allowing them local control of their policies and prograrms.

And Donald Trump has declared ‘war” on cities, and is utilizing his power to force militarization of cities, with his false accusations of crime and terrorism in the metropolitan areas.

Already, he has caused chaos and disarray in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Chicago, Portland Oregon, and seems ready to impose the Insurrection Act of 1807 in an uncalled for, abusive manner as part of his plan to establish an authoritarian, Fascist regime on American democracy!

Concern That Donald Trump Will, At Some Point, Invoke Insurrection Act Of 1807 Against Freedom Of Assembly!

There is growing concern that President Donald Trump, who has been on a rampage of asserting power and authority in his first five weeks in office in his second term, will, at some point, when public opposition becomes more fierce, decide to invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807.

But the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 bans military force being used within the nation, except for the Army National Guard or the Air National Guard, but those only within a state’s boundaries. This law has been updated in 1956, 1981, and 2021.

The most recent use of the Insurrection Act was in 1992, at the time of the Los Angeles Riots.

Does anyone really trust that Donald Trump would not violate these laws in an inappropriate manner if demonstrations become, in his mind, too burdensome to deal with peacefully?

This could lead to bloodshed and violence in the streets of America, and with MAGA Republicans backing their President, could evolve into a form of civil war.

The Bill of Rights is under attack in so many ways, and anarchy and chaos brought about by mass firings of government civil servants will start to affect not just those workers, but the general public.

Already, there have been some town halls in Republican Congressional Districts, causing discomfort and stress for those officeholders, and leading to recommendations from Republican leadership in the House of Representatives to reject future town halls, and ignore the growing outcry of public opinion outrage.

With Trump rejecting the close association with traditional democratic nation in Europe; with our neighbors Canada and Mexico; and with Asian nations, including Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand; international affairs are much more stressed, and the instability endangers the political and social climate in America.

Difficult days are ahead and some news media are, seemingly, kowtowing to Donald Trump, an alarm bell in the night, as only keeping a free and critical media can inspire the survival of American democracy!

The horrors of Donald Trump keep growing with new revelations, including:

Trump was on the brink in June 2020 of using the Insurrection Act of 1807, allowing for martial law.

Trump was on the brink of having COVID 19 patients sent to Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba.

Trump allies were involved in an attempt to run a Joe Biden campaign bus off the road in central Texas in late October.

Trump was investigating journalists through their emails and phone logs, who had criticized him, and had plans to prosecute them.

Trump wanted to prosecute Congressmen Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell of California for their work on the House Judiciary Committee in investigating Trump.

Trump looked at the Justice Department as his private law firm and defender, not the independent department it is supposed to be.

Trump was nonchalant about the January 6 Capitol Insurrection, and was clearly enjoying mayhem, and did not take any action to end it for four hours, while Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi were in danger, and realize they were the top two in the line of Presidential succession after Trump.

Many new books and revelations are coming out, and the Trump Organization, and potentially Trump and his children face the likelihood of indictment in New York City, New York State, Washington DC, and Georgia, on financial charges, and the promotion of the “Big Lie”, trying to change the election results that saw Joe Biden become President.

He is still promoting conspiracy theories, specifically in Arizona and Georgia, undermining belief that elections are being administered fairly, and trying to change the future election system in many states, undermining faith in American democracy!

Discussion Of Martial Law In White House Alarming, With One Month To Go Until Inauguration

Today, one month before the inauguration, 31 days until Joe Biden and Kamala Harris begin the new administration, there is alarming news that corrupt, renegade lawyers around Donald Trump had a stormy meeting with Donald Trump, promoting the declaration of martial law, suspension of the Constitution under the ill advised Insurrection Act of 1807, and the redo of the election in states that were “swing’ states lost by Trump in November.

The New York Times reports that Patrick Cipollone, one of the President’s White House lawyers, and Mark Meadows, the White House Chief of Staff, argued vigorously against such action, while a renegade lawyer, Sidney Powell, was promoting such alarming ideas, along with wanting to be a special counsel to investigate the election returns, after the Electoral College has already made the election results official on December 14.

The possibility of a coup still exists, but it seems clear that were Trump to move in that direction, that the military and the bureaucracy would not cooperate.

At this point, with a crazed President out of control, and promoting anti democratic actions, at least in his diseased head, that immediate action to force his resignation, and for Vice President Mike Pence to finish out the term, is essential.

And those who argued for such action, including Powell and retired General Mike Flynn, who was convicted and then pardoned, should be incarcerated as traitors and seditionists.

And it is good to see Cipillone, who represented Trump in the impeachment trial and has been the White House Counsel, and Mark Meadows, former Congressman and Tea Party favorite, are putting patriotism and the rule of law ahead of Trump’s maniacal behavior!
