Democratic House Of Representatives In 120th Congress (2027-2029) Assured!

With one week to go, it is quite apparent that the Democratic Party will regain control of the House of Representatives, and by a clear margin, in the 120th Congress (2027-2029).

Most Democratic seats will be safe, whether the officeholders or their successor nominees.

But the Republican Party seems certain to lose seats around the country, including some in Texas, Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, Iowa, and Ohio specifically.

There are also likely other losses in some other states.

So the broad prediction is that the Democratic Party will gain at least 20-25 seats, and possibly more.

If the total is at least 20, then it would be a 17 seat gain over the number needed for a majority, which would mean a likely total of 235 Democrats, 200 Republicans.

It could be slightly less, or a lot more, but it is quite certain that Hakeem Jeffries of New York will become the next Speaker of the House of Representatives, becoming the first African American Speaker, a major step forward.
