Tragically, every single day, President Donald Trump is endangering national security by criticizing our long term allies the nation has had since the end of World War II.
This includes all of the 32 nations in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization; Canada; as well as our Asian allies, including Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea; Australia and New Zealand; along with our alliances with Middle East nations, including Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations.
So the fear is that if a crisis arises in international affairs, that America would not have its allies ready to support the nation, as they did after September 11, when other nations joined the fight against Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.
At the same time, Trump has cozied up to authoritarian leaders, including Vladimir Putin of Russia; Xi Jinping of mainland China; and Kim Jong Un of North Korea.
Eventually, and tragically, America could face in the future an attack against the homeland that would make September 11 look as minor by comparison.
