Republican House And Senate Leadership In Disarray As Congressional Elections Of 2024 Occur In Nine Months!

The Republican Party in Congress is in disarray, bitterly split whereby they cannot accomplish their goals in the House of Representatives or in the US Senate.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson is an abject failure, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is facing a massive attack on his leadership by critics, including Texas Senator Ted Cruz, Florida Senator Rick Scott, Utah Senator Mike Lee, Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson, and Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville.

The Republicans are not in good shape as they face Congressional elections coming up in nine months!

And with the Supreme Court listening to the arguments that Trump should be barred from holding public office.. it was painfully and blantantly obvious they are going to rule in Trump’s favor.

A true bastardiztion of our Democracy, Constitutional Law, that can be directed to Moscow Mitch McConnell!

Sounds like SCOTUS is leaning towards Trump to me as well. Even some members of the court’s liberal wing posed difficult questions to the lawyers opposed to Trump.

Special counsel Robert Hur released a searing report Thursday that President Joe Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified military and national security information but will not face charges after a year-long investigation into the handling of classified documents by the president.

One reason Hur chose not to bring charges, according to the report, was because it would be difficult to prosecute Biden, who could appear to a jury as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

“We concluded that no criminal charges are warranted in this matter,” Hur concluded. “We would reach the same conclusion even if Department of Justice policy did not foreclose criminal charges against a sitting president.”

The special counsel investigation found Biden knew about the classified documents in his home as far back as 2017, when he was no longer vice president, and that he shared some of the information with the ghostwriter for his memoir published that year.

The public release of the 345-page report marks the conclusion of Hur’s investigation.

I still feel that both Trump and Biden are too old for the job. I’ll vote for Biden in November but with some reluctance.

Biden’s press conference about the Special Counsel report didn’t help matters much.

Getting lost in the bulk of that press conference are Biden’s remarks critical of Israel’s military response in Gaza.

Speaking of Israel’s military response in Gaza, now Netanyahu wants to attack Rafah. It’s located on the border, near Egypt. Millions of people have fled there and have nowhere else to go because he’s bombed just about everywhere else. It’s also a critical location for humanitarian aid to get in. I’m in agreement with those that want a ceasefire. It’s getting out of hand and needs to stop now.
