Unsung Heroes: Mayors And County Administrators On The Front Line Of The CoronaVirus Pandemic

In the midst of the CoronaVirus Pandemic that has made the United States the leading nation to suffer, with one out of four people world wide getting the disease being Americans, and the same percentage of Americans dying from it, we have had unsung heroes on the front line.

Mayors of major and smaller cities, and many county administrators in large populated counties in states across the nation, have been much more responsible than many state governors, and certainly than the federal government under the corrupt leadership of Donald Trump.

They have demonstrated more concern about human life and health, as the US and many state governments have reneged on their major responsibility to protect and defend their citizens.

These mayors and county administrators do not get the attention and praise they richly deserve, but thank goodness they take their government positions and responsibilities so seriously.

They may make enemies by imposing restrictions, but the only way to overcome this pandemic is for all citizens to cooperate and accept that their lives will be controlled in the public good, and if they do not cooperate, they will pay dearly in fines and possible imprisonment as dangers to their fellow Americans!

The Lincoln Project, a leading Republican anti Trump group working to defeat him in 2020, just put out a great video portraying the six convicted felons under the Donald Trump Presidency:

This anti Trump group, along with Republican Voters Against Trump; Right Side PAC; and 43 Alumni For Biden are all contributing to an aggressive campaign against Trump, but also his enablers in Congress, who have overlooked his transgressions, and now face reelection in their states.

Republican activists, including John Weaver, Rick Wilson, Steve Schmidt, George Conway, Bill Kristol, Mike Murphy, Anthony Scaramucci, and independent 2016 nominee Evan McMullin are working not only to stop Trump and his supporters in Congress. They also want to undermine potential 2024 candidates Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri, Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas and Fox News Channel talk show host Tucker Carlson, all who are rumored to be planning to run in the image of Donald Trump.

Donald Trump Commutation Of Roger Stone Prison Term The Final Nail In The Coffin!

Donald Trump’s commutation of the Roger Stone prison term will be the final nail in the coffin of the Presidency of the 45th President, and will cause massive loss of seats in the House and Senate on November 3.

To give a commutation to a man totally obscene and crooked as Roger Stone is, only adds to the image of Donald Trump as the most corrupt President in American history, bar none!

Only Mitt Romney, among Republicans in Congress, has had the decency to condemn what Trump has done, giving a pass to a man who was convicted by a jury of seven felonies.

But polls show a complete collapse of Trump’s ratings, and this action only adds to the destruction of his chances to win a second term.

The Republican Party in the House and Senate has no principles other than their own political advancement, and their personal acquisition of wealth, and they will suffer an historic disaster, equivalent of 1964!

Many Republicans Not Attending National Convention In Jacksonville, Florida

President Donald Trump may wish for a grand audience of thousands of delegates cheering him on at the Republican National Convention in Jacksonville, Florida in late August, but it looks as if many US Senators and others will not attend, due to the CoronaVirus Pandemic raging in the nation, and particularly in Florida.

Among those announcing they will not attend include two retiring Republican Senators, Pat Roberts of Kansas and Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, with Roberts being 84 and Alexander 80 years of age.

But Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, who is 78, also has indicated he is unlikely to attend.

Additionally, the following Senators have made statements that they will not attend:

Lisa Murkowski of Alaska

Susan Collins of Maine

Mitt Romney of Utah

Chuck Grassley of Iowa, who will be 87 in September

Expect more Senators and many Congressmen and other party figures to decide not to attend, and it is possible that the entire convention will have to be remote, which is the present plan of the Democrats, as the only practical solution in the middle of a pandemic which has killed 135,000 people in just over four months.

Joe Biden plans to go to Milwaukee in person to give his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention, but without a large audience, and Donald Trump, if he was smart, which he is not, should do the same thing, as this pandemic has transformed life in America for the foreseeable future.

The Supreme Court Dignified Itself By Upholding The Rule Of Law Against President Donald Trump

The Supreme Court dignified itself today by upholding the rule of law against President Donald Trump.

In two cases, the Court did similar to what it did with President Richard Nixon in 1974 and President Bill Clinton in 1997.

And the two Trump Supreme Court appointees (Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh) surprised by joining five other Justices, including Chief Justice John Roberts, in smacking Trump down, and telling he is not above the law.

So once again, Supreme Court appointees have “disappointed” the President who selected them, but in so doing, they remind us that the Court is designed to do what is proper, and quite often, although not enough, the Court surprises and pleases those who care about the law and the Constitution.

These decisions further undermine Donald Trump with less than four months to the election, which seems certain to be a massive repudiation of Trump, and lead to his prosecution on financial fraud, although much else should be the center of attention once this disgraced President leaves office!

Republican Party In Free Fall

The Republican Party seems clearly in free fall, as it looks clear that the Senate will go Democratic in November by the gain of a substantial number of seats, making them the majority, while the House looks as if it will be even more strongly Democratic.

The Republican Party is losing women, educated people, suburban residents, young people, racial and ethnic minorities, and the broad base of the middle class.

Donald Trump is on the way to a massive defeat, and the Republican Party that survives will be mostly working class whites in rural areas, and those who still profess to be “good Christians”, but have been willing to accept Donald Trump’s immorality and constant lying.

The future of the party is gloomy, as its membership in Congress is more than ever only white male Christians, with very few women, almost no Jews or African Americans or Latinos, and very little prospect in the cities and suburbs of most of the nation.

It may actually happen that Donald Trump will have destroyed the Republican Party, and it will have to reorganize to survive in the next decades as a serious alternative, but for now, the Democratic Party looks as if it is on the ascendancy!

Open White Supremacy And Racism In The American Presidency

The reality of the history of the American Presidency is that white supremacy and racism is rampant.

Nine of the first twelve Presidents owned slaves, and many of them mistreated them, including cruelty and separation of families by slave sales.

Also, many Presidents clearly saw native Americans as subhuman, and had no concern about the loss of life and the stealing of native American lands.

Additionally, many Presidents saw people of Asian or Latino heritage as being inferior, and treated them in openly racist ways.

The story of American history is of widespread massacres of people of color, no matter what their ancestry, and not just in the South, but nationwide.

Most American Presidents ignored what was going on, but some were more vocal and outspoken in their white supremacy and racism, enunciating their hateful, prejudiced views.

The vocal group, willing to make it part of their Presidencies include Andrew Jackson, regarding native Americans and African Americans; Andrew Johnson, toward African Americans during Reconstruction; Woodrow Wilson, who made clear his disregard for civil rights for African Americans, and open disdain for people of Asian ancestry, as well as the nations they originated from (China and Japan); and now Donald Trump, who has used the racist and white supremacist language to appeal to his base in a gross manner.

Since Trump has the advantage of modern media reporting and social media, particularly Twitter, which the others did not have, his white supremacy and racist rants are much more dangerous than those of Jackson, Johnson, and Wilson.

Massive Number Of Problems In 2020 America

America in the middle of 2020 faces a massive number of problems, all at once.

We have the COVID-19 Virus, which has killed 130,000 Americans and which is being made worse by resistance of many to obey the rules on masks, social distancing, and avoiding crowds. The fact that Donald Trump refuses to set an example is making the situation far worse! This is the worst health crisis in a century!

We have the economic depression, the worst since the 1930s, and millions of people face hunger and homelessness, and it is already showing up with an increased crime rate in poor neighborhoods.

We have a major crisis in mental health, which is a time bomb that can undermine the nation’s future.

We have an environmental crisis, which endangers the nation and is being made worse by the Trump Administration policy on environmental issues.

We have a conflict on race and civil rights, far worse because we also have a President who reminds us of George Wallace in the 1960s, but the difference was that Wallace, while campaigning for President, had no chance to win, only cause turmoil but not make policy.

We also have a divided Congress, which historically has meant little ability to resolve or deal at all with major issues.

We have a court system rapidly becoming more right wing in a nation that is moving to the left, as the country moves to the inevitable majority being racial minorities in a generation from now.

When Joe Biden, God willing, becomes President, he will face more issues and controversies, all at once, than any President in the lifetime of anyone now living!

Donald Trump Uses Independence Day To Promote A Culture War Rather Than Unite Us!

President Donald Trump spent Independence Day promoting a culture war, rather than uniting us on our national patriotic holiday.

He demonstrated that promoting the retention of Confederate statues, monuments and symbols is more important than convincing Americans of the need to wear masks and promote public health and safety.

He applauds the law enforcement community and the military, while ignoring the horrible record of law enforcement toward racial minorities. He also claims that evidence of Russian payments to the Taliban in Afghanistan to kill American soldiers is a hoax, rather than stand up to Vladmir Putin as part of promoting national security and protection of Americans fighting overseas.

As with his Inaugural in 2017, Trump promotes darkness, pessimism, fear, conspiracy theories, and demonstrates his total lack of understanding of totalitarian leaders who undermine American democracy.

He does not even know what Fascism is, when he speaks about “left wing Fascism”, when any expert who is not a right wing extremist knows that Fascism refers to right wing totalitarianism, such as Benito Mussolini of Italy, Adolf Hitler of Germany, Juan Peron of Argentina, and Francisco Franco of Spain, among others. While all of them might at some point seemed to appeal to so called “Socialists”, all worked to undermine, persecute, and torture and kill those groups on the Left, all of which vehemently opposed them.

Donald Trump’s aim is only to divide and conquer, and to spread lies and deceit, including making his 2016 opponent Hillary Clinton out to be a monster, a crook, an extremely corrupt and tainted person, much like he is now attempting to portray Joe Biden as the same. And the reason for this is that both Clinton and Biden are connected to Barack Obama, which brings out the total, maniacal, and racist hatred of Trump for his predecessor.

Cognitive Deficits In Donald Trump Vs Joe Biden

President Donald Trump is attempting to convince voters that former Vice President Joe Biden has cognitive deficits that make him unqualified to be President.

This is laughable, as it is Donald Trump who has clear cognitive deficits. He has demonstrated this by his language and speaking in public and on Twitter.

His behavior and lack of understanding of multiple areas of human knowledge, including spelling, pronunciation, mathematics, history, science, economics, international relations, as well as his horrendous interaction with others, including insults and name calling, make him seem like at most a young teenager, and at worst a toddler.

It is clear to anyone with an open mind that Trump is dangerously mentally ill and unstable, and that he has no ethics, morality, common decency, empathy, compassion, or dignity, only concerned about what he can gain from others.

He is a racist, nativist, misoygnist, has fake religiosity, and supports antisemites and homophobes.

None of this is true of Joe Biden, who at most, can be seen as someone who flubs at times in an embarrassing manner, seen as humorous and harmless in his occasional misstatements.

He has broad knowledge of all of the areas of human knowledge mentioned above, and knows how to utilize specialists in all these areas of expertise. He does not engage in insults and name calling, and he has loads of ethics, morality, common decency, empathy, compassion, and dignity, all important for any government leader.

Biden is not a racist, nativist, misogynist, nor does he have fake religiosity, and he is strongly in favor of the Jewish people and the rights of gays, lesbians, and transgender people.

Biden is of great character and humanity, who is genuine, real, concerned about others, and also has a very decent wife, future First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.

Jill Biden would restore the dignity and stature of the First Lady position, after it has been brought to a low status by ignorant, trashy Melania Trump, who is a true embarrassment to the position. She is only staying with Donald Trump to keep her son Barron safe from an uncaring father, and to insure her own financial position and that of her immigrant parents, who should not be allowed to remain in this country under Trump’s nativist mandates, if it were not for them being Melania’s parents.

From trash and disgrace of the Trumps to the dignity and competence of the Bidens!
