Sanctions And Tariffs On Russia

Special Envoy Steve Witkoff Calls Putin An “Humanitarian” Because He Released A 70 Year Old American Man After Torture And Abuse For Four Years

Donald Trump’s Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, went to Moscow to visit Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin to thank him for his decision to release a former Air Force veteran and retired teacher. Stephen Hubbard had been arrested in 2022 on accusations he was a spy, and was tortured and beaten and held for the last four years.

There is no problem staying “thank you”, but Witkoff went much further by praising Putin as an “humanitarian”, absolutely outrageous. Putin has caused millions of deaths in his 26 years in power in Russia, and the mass killing of Ukrainians since the invasion perpetrated by Russia in February 2022, and still continuing.

And to top if off, Trump defended Witkoff and doubled down on Putin as an “humanitarian”.

There is no shame on the part of Trump and his administration about their coziness with Putin, and their desire for Ukraine to surrender territory, and end the war on Putin’s terms.

That would be an encouraging sign to Putin that he could invade NATO nations. And it is a reminder of what Great Britain did in the Munich Agreement of October 1938, agreeing to hand over half of Czechoslovakia (The Sudetenland), to Nazi Germany’s Adolf Hitler, to promote peace, but which ended up leading to further aggression less than a year later, starting World War II.

Trump also rejected the Lindsey Graham Act, that he had signed, overwhelmingly backed by Congressional members of both parties, that would stop all trade, and promote sanctions and tariffs on Russia as long as they continued their invasion and mass murder in Ukraine.

We are in a situation where Trump and his lackeys are promoting “friendship” and collaboration with Russia, and rejecting NATO, Canada, and Asian and Middle East allies.

This is treason, clear and simple, and endangers American National Security, and undermines international stability, as one should not encourage dictators, but Trump sees himself as a dictator.

It is time for action to invoke the 25th Amendment, Section 4, and or move to impeachment, of a President clearly advocating treason.
