Shocking Threat Against Trump And Everyone At White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

In a totally shocking event, a lone gunman breached the Washington Hilton Hotel, the site of the shooting of President Ronald Reagan on March 30, 1981, in an attempt to harm President Donald Trump, and in theory, all those in the line of Presidential succession, at the White House Correspondents Association Annual Dinner.

About 2,500 attendees at the annual event were all in the line of danger from the crazed gunman, Cole Tomas Allen, a well educated resident of California, who graduated California Institute of Technology, graduating in 2017 with a mechanical engineering degree, and later gained a masters degree in computer science, and someone said to be thought to be no threat to anyone, based on people who know him.

This is a terrifying event, and the thought that the line of succession was endangered, is sobering. This is the result of the division that has become the norm in America in recent years; the easy accessibility of guns; and the reality of widespread mental illness.

While the gunman did not get into the actual ballroom where the event occurred, it is still horrifying and traumatic that such an event could occur in a well protected hotel by the Secret Service.

Political violence is a disease that is eating away at American domestic and international security.

The constant rising threats against members of Congress, as well as the executive and judicial branch, is a never ending crisis.

One does not have to be supportive of anyone in government, but the horrors of constant threats against individuals in all branches of government is a crisis that needs to be addressed in a sane manner.

Growing Danger Of More Assassination Threats Against Both Sides In Presidential Race!

America is in the throes of a major crisis of threats and reality of violence, mostly caused by the easy access and prevalence of weapons of war, AK 47’s and AR 15s.

Whether it is schools, churches, shopping malls, public events, or just any other public place, the level of serious gun violence is out of control.

And yet, any discussion of the need for regulations and reforms goes nowhere.

Meanwhile, the rhetoric of political violence has escalated, and all members of Congress, state governments, and the competing Presidential campaigns and candidates are under greater threats, only accentuated by now the second assassination attempt on Donald Trump in two months.

Sadly, a lot of the violence and threats has been encouraged by the incendiary rhetoric of Trump himself, and his running mate for Vice President, JD Vance. When they promote division and fiery rhetoric, including calling for “Dictatorship on Day One”, and talk about “bloodbath” and other such language, and incite people against a specific racial or religious group, as they have in recent weeks, the old saying is that they “reap what they sow”. But instead, right wing media fails to see the truth, and instead blames Democrats warning against such violence and incitement, for what is occurring.

Clearly, much more must be done to protect all Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates and their families, but the level of incendiary rhetoric MUST STOP now!

13 Year Anniversary Of Obama Care (Affordable Care Act)!

We have reached the 13 year anniversary of the Affordable Care Act (Obama Care), which despite vehement Republican opposition, and multiple attempts to repeal the legislation, survives today.

It has transformed the lives of millions of Americans whose lives have been saved, despite their being poor and low income.

And North Carolina has just become the 40th state to expand Medicaid, the program begun by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1966, but with 10 states, including the megastates of Florida and Texas still resisting helping the poor and disadvantaged to be able to acquire health care.

Conservatives and Republicans have no concern about human life, other than fetuses being born, but they still promote denial of health care, and promote expansion of gun violence, by refusing to support any gun regulations, a true outrage!

And today, we had another mass loss of life in an attack by a woman against a religious elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee, as the number of victims of gun assaults multiply daily!

Any intelligent, caring human being understands that conservatives and Republicans, if they had their way, would obliterate not only Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act, but also Medicare and Social Security!

Another Mass Murder Incident, This Time At Michigan State, On Anniversary Of Parkland, Florida Massacre In 2018!

Sadly, the night before the five year anniversary of the Parkland (Marjory Stoneman Douglas) High School, Florida Massacre, Michigan State University witnessed a gunman kill three and wound five others, and at this point, gun massacres are totally out of control!

There have been 67 Gun Massacres in just 44 days at this writing, and no solution, as Congress will not do anything to stop the carnage!

So our children in these two cases, plus the Sandy Hook Elementary School Massacre in Connecticut in 2012, and the Uvalde, Texas Elementary School Massacre in May 2022, and innumerable others just add to the tragedy with no end!

And this is not even considering gun massacres that take place in every other possible, conceivable venue across American society!

We have more firearms than people in this nation, and the danger is not just what we see, but the potential for widespread right wing terrorism, leading to civil war all over America, and creating a very dangerous situation on the world scene, as well as domestically!

Ten Years Since Tragic Sandy Hook Massacre, And Lack Of Action On Guns!

It has been ten years since the horrific massacre of 20 children and 6 teachers and administrators at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, and there has been a total lack of action on gun regulation.

The National Rifle Association and most Republicans in Congress and the state governments have refused to take ownership of the need for gun regulation, and the banning of AK-47 and AR-15 firearms, as only needed for hunting and the military.

The horrors of what happens to victims of gun violence by use of such firearms has not made those involved in the firearms industry, and those who are financially supported by that industry, to have a conscience!

So we have had many more school and college tragedies, most notably the Parkland, Florida Massacre on Valentine’s Day 2018 at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Broward County, Florida, sadly besmirching the name of the legendary environmental activist that the school is named after!

And of course, there have been unbelievable numbers of other massacres in places of worship, supermarkets, concerts, and many other public venues!

A special salute to Connecticut Democratic Senator Chris Murphy who has been a true hero in working to attempt major reforms, sadly to no avail!

How anyone who has turned away from their conscience in the reality of gun violence everywhere, making America the most violent society in the civilized world by far, is unfathomable, but the struggle must go on!

Donald Trump IS The Most Important Issue In Midterm Elections!

After the January 6 House Committee hearings yesterday, and the Supreme Court unanimously rejecting Donald Trump’s attempt to manipulate the issue of the national security documents at his Mar A Lago estate, it has become perfectly clear!

The issue of the Midterm Elections next month is the issue of what will happen to American democracy, as Donald Trump is a clear and present danger to the future of the American republic!

There are many other issues, including the “Election Deniers” crisis, abortion rights, the economy, gun violence, the climate crisis, the Ukraine invasion by the Russian Federation, and the future of the Joe Biden Presidency, among others.

But Donald Trump MUST be prosecuted, and prevented from being able to run for President again in 2024, as a first step above all else!

The Electoral Count Act needs to be revised so that what happened on January 6, 2021 cannot happen again, and since Trump promoted sedition and treason, he must be barred from the ability to run for public office, under the 14th Amendment, Section 3!

The “Pro Life” Court Votes To Promote More Gun Deaths!

The Supreme Court of 2022 is the most extreme right wing Court since the 1920s!

It has “good Christians” who wish to protect every fetus from conception to birth, while not caring how mothers, who often are victims of rape or incest, or in danger of losing their lives by carrying to term, cope with the attitude that it is not the job of government to protect and provide for the lives of children once they are born!

But, at the same time, these “good Christians” are endorsing by their decision on gun rights yesterday, to prevent protection of the American people in public places from unstable people who now will have the right to have their guns displayed and carried in all kinds of situations.

These include subways, churches, supermarkets, schools, parks and every other potential situation, insuring the already horrendous mass murders that are occurring regularly all over the nation, will now be multiplying by order of the Supreme Court!

This insane Court ruling not only threatens the ordinary citizen, but also law enforcement personnel, and insures that those who are racists, nativists, homophobes and anti semites now have open license to kill with impunity!

To use the idea of rural America as being the same as urban and suburban America demonstrates that the Court majority have not spent much time in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and other major urban and suburban areas.

It mwans that all of us in public places now are at an increased danger of being victims of gun crimes, far surpassing what happened in Buffalo, New York and Uvalde, Texas!

The blood and lives of future victims of gun violence will be on the conscience of the six right wing Justices who live in an alternate reality, and shows the need for Court reform, including adding Justices to the Supreme Court to bring it back to sanity!

Republican Party Claims To Be Party Of Life, While It Is Instead Party Of Death!

The Republican Party has, clearly, become the Party of Death, as they show no concern about the COVID 19 Pandemic, and the need to promote masking and vaccination, as more than 750,000 Americans have died from the virus!

The Republican Party also worships guns, and has worked against any kind of gun regulations, despite mass murders going on in schools, churches and synagogues, entertainment events, shopping centers, colleges and universities,and all other public venues.

Additionally, suicides have become endemic, with no concern about people with mental instability, and even children, having access to firearms, including AK 47s and AR 15s!

Also, the Republican Party has no concern about the poverty and deprivation of people who are not wealthy, and particularly so with racial and religious minorities, so we have single mothers who cannot provide adequately for their children!

Republicans also have always been against providing health care to those less fortunate, which demonstrates they do not value life! As a group, they have opposed Medicare and the Affordable Care Act!

Their only interest in “life” is that every fetus must be born, even if the pregnant woman was raped, or a victim of incest, and there is no concern about the dangers to the life of the mother!

And of course, Republicans love the death penalty, even though it is often misused, and particularly against males of color on a much higher scale than whites!

And Republicans love to support wars, as long as it is primarily the poor and minorities who are “cannon fodder” for the “war machines”, and very few of them or their offspring ever serving in the military!

7,260 Suicides
5,622 Homicide, Murder
10,176 Injuries
156 Mass Shootings
11 Mass Murders
91 Children 0-11 Killed, 193 Children 0-11 Injured
332 Teenagers 12-17 Killed, 801 Teenagers 12-17 Injured

Isn’t this enough for action by Congress, and to prevent continued massive loss of lives?

Urgent Action On Gun Violence Needed, As America Has Become A Slaughter Grounds Unlike Any Advanced Nation!

America has become a daily slaughter grounds unlike any other advanced nation in the world in 2021.

When other nations had a few massive losses of life due to gun violence, they took action, but America, despite the multitude of horrific events, we only have “thoughts and prayers”, which is simply not enough!

There is no need for civilians to have weapons of war, such as AK 47s and AR 15s.

So called “Pro Life” advocates only concern themselves with fetuses, but not the lives of human beings who have been born.

At the least, a “Brady Bill”, which was law from 1994-2004, needs to be revived, as the lack of concern for the loss of life, due to mentally ill people, and domestic terrorism, is destroying the lives of millions of Americans!
