Half Of Nightmarish 2020 Completed, With Half To Occur: What Is Next?

Half of the year 2020 is gone, and it has been an horrific six months:

The impeachment trail of Donald Trump, where his Republican Party refused to recognize the danger he presents, and his being in office since early February has been a series of disasters.

The outbreak of the Corona Virus Pandemic, with Trump not taking it seriously from Day One onward.

The economic collapse, which has caused the second Great Depression, but affecting a population three times larger, and no ending to be seen, with so much more desperation, homelessness, and hunger as the result.

The racial discord which has developed over the George Floyd murder by police in Minneapolis, and Trump inciting more racial animosity.

The refusal of Trump to protect Americans in combat, and labeling the bounty paid by the Russians to Taliban fighters to kill Americans in Afghanistan, as a hoax.

Five nightmares and four months to Election Day, 125 days from today, and then 78 days to Inauguration Day!

Will America survive intact over the next 203 days is the issue, extremely worrisome!

The health, safety, and lives of Americans is at stake!

Trump Is Clearly A National Security Risk After Revelation About Russian Payments To Taliban To Kill American Military In Afghanistan

Donald Trump is proving what any sane American knows: that he is a traitor tied to Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, and has been from the beginning of his Presidency.

The revelation that Russia made payments to Taliban fighters to kill American soldiers in Afghanistan, and that Trump has done nothing about it, and claims no knowledge had ever been given to him regarding this, is totally infuriating, and requires a swift removal from office.

If only Vice President Mike Pence had guts and courage, and worked to gain the support of a majority of the Trump cabinet, Trump could be forced out, but clearly, that is not about to happen.

There are rumors that Trump might resign, due to his poor reelection polls, but that is still hard to believe, and one has to wonder what Mike Pence and cabinet members knew, and whether they have been in on the scam.

America is in a very bad time, with the CoronaVirus Pandemic, the economic depression, the racial animus, and now this national security issue.

This is, more now than when the Impeachment trial took place, the most crisis ridden moment since the Great Depression, and possibly more so than the events of the 1930s.

There are signs of some Republicans in Congress starting to stir in anger, but the party has been so feeble, one wonders what will come out of the situation.

More than ever, for sure, it is urgent that Joe Biden defeats Donald Trump by a massive margin in November, or the nation is doomed long term!

Time For DC Statehood: Long Overdue

The Democratic controlled House of Representatives has overwhelmingly passed a Washington DC statehood bill, the first time it has come up for a vote since 1993.

Only a handful of Republicans supported it, and it is clear why that is so. A slight percentage of residents in DC are African American, (47 percent) but whites are 45 percent of the population, and it is likely that a majority in DC in the future will be white, or that the population mix will be the most balanced of any part of the nation.

Right now, it is assured that if Washington DC became a state, it would have two Democratic Senators and one Democratic Congressman or woman.

But that should not be the issue regarding representation, and it only adds to the view that Republicans are unwilling to care about anything affecting African Americans, as they look more than ever as if they are Confederate sympathizers a century and a half after the Civil War.

Donald Trump spends more time defending Confederate statues and monuments than he does working on dealing with the Covid-19 Pandemic, which has killed more American in four months than in World War I, or in the Korean and Vietnam Wars combined.

DC has more population than Wyoming and Vermont, and not much behind Alaska and North Dakota, and it deserves to have proper representation for its citizens.

Hopefully, with a Democratic President and Democratic controlled Congress next year, we might see DC become a state!

Trump Calls For Immediate Obama Care Repeal In Midst Of Pandemic: Most Obscene Action Imaginable!

In the midst of the worst public health crisis in a century, the Corona Virus Pandemic, Donald Trump has called for immediate action by the Supreme Court to repeal Obama Care, the Affordable Care Act of 2010.

The Republican Party has been unwilling to leave Obama Care alone, but has failed to destroy it, and offers no alternative to the tens of millions who depend on Obama Care for their health care.

If the GOP had an alternative plan, then one might consider it, but they have refused to come up with an alternative, even though Obama Care is very similar to Romney Care in Massachusetts under Mitt Romney, and to the plan developed by future House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Senator Bob Dole and the American Enterprise Institute in 1993-1994, as an alternative to the bolder Hillary Care health care plan of the Bill Clinton Administration.

Obama Care is not perfect, but one should not “throw out the baby with the bath water”, but instead come up with a different plan.

But for Donald Trump to promote the destruction of health care for millions without an alternative is truly the most obscene action imaginable!

Pandemic Now Affecting Sun Belt “Red” States, Not “Blue” States, And Yet Trump Ignores It And Refuses To Wear Face Mask As Example To Americans!

The COVID-19 Pandemic is raging in the Sun Belt, more furious than ever, the so called “Red” states, including Florida, Texas, and Arizona, while before it was more manifested in the Northeast and the Pacific Coast, so called “Blue” states.

But Donald Trump is ignoring the pandemic, which has killed 125,000 Americans in four months, more than World War I, or more than Vietnam and Korea combined!

He continues to refuse to set an example of the importance of wearing a face mask, and has, in a grievous manner, held political rallies in Oklahoma, Arizona and Wisconsin, and intends to do more such rallies, and is exposing thousands to the potential of spreading the virus.

This includes dozens of Secret Service agents, which demonstrates his lack of respect even for those who protect him!

Donald Trump is a total failure in this crisis, and will go down as responding worse than even Herbert Hoover in the Great Depression or James Buchanan in the pre Civil War years!

Donald Trump More Concerned About Reelection Than Public Health Or National Security

Donald Trump, the ultimate narcissist in American Presidential history, is making it very clear that he is more concerned about reelection than he is in public health or national security.

This is evidenced by his ignoring the growing rate of COVID-19 in many states, stating the stupid, inane idea that if there was less testing, there would be fewer cases!

Also, from John Bolton’s book, just out, we learn he was working to gain Chinese government support for his reelection, and therefore was willing to overlook Chinese government crackdown on human rights.

Never has any President had such a mentality to put his own advancement ahead of his own nation’s interests.

There will be plenty of reasons to pursue Donald Trump legally once he leaves office, and that will be in the hands of Joe Biden’s Attorney General, arguably the single most important appointment the new President will make, in order to work toward the undoing of all of the damage wrought by Donald Trump and his corrupt underlings in his cabinet and elsewhere!

Donald Trump In Free Fall After Disastrous Week

Donald Trump is clearly in free fall after a disastrous week.

The Supreme Court, including conservatives, and a Trump appointee, went against him on Gay and Transgender employment rights, and on the issue of Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals (DACA), leading Trump to complain that the Supreme Court does not “like” him.

John Bolton publishing a book demonstrating that Trump has no interest in any policy, and just about reelection, infuriated Trump.

Mary Trump, his niece, is about to come out with a tell all about how horrible Trump is, even with his own father who gave him his start, once the elder Trump developed Alzheimers.

Donald Trump is bringing more attention to his own corrupt dealings in New York, by firing the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, promoting a new investigation by the House Judiciary Committee.

All public opinion polls show Trump in a massive landslide, and that includes the Fox News Polls.

And finally, the disastrous Tulsa rally led to a very small crowd, only about one third full, but also increasing the likelihood that many of the attendees might get the COVID-19 virus and spread it to others.

7 Months To Inauguration Day: Fears Grow Of Potential For Disastrous Events Before Election Day, And Up To Inauguration Day

America has gone through 41 months of the Trump Presidency as of today, June 20, and faces 7 more months until Inauguration Day, and 4.5 months until Election Day.

It is well known that events in the next 4.5 months could dramatically change the results of the Presidential Election of 2020, from what they might seem to be today.

This would not be the first time that “last minute” events, often called the “October Surprise”, transformed what happened on Election Day.

With all of the tumult and conflict we have witnessed under Donald Trump’s Presidency, it now looks as if Joe Biden is a clear cut front runner, but this is not a time to relax, as no result is certain, and people need to exercise their right to vote.

Somehow, with a first nearly six months of 2020 being so unbelievable, with the impeachment trial; the CoronaVirus Pandemic coming upon us: the resultant complete collapse of the American economy; and the escalating violence by law enforcement against black men, leading to widespread demonstrations and some violence, one has to have trepidation about what the rest of this year portends!

Trump Rally In Tulsa, Oklahoma A Reckless Act In Midst Of Pandemic

Donald Trump is once again proving his lack of basic decency, by following through on a massive indoor rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the day after the celebration of the end of slavery on June 19, 1865, when African Americans in Texas were informed that the Civil War was over, and that they were free men and women, what is called Juneteenth.

But it is also the 99th anniversary of the worst race riot in American history, destroying the prosperous black community in Tulsa, and at least 300 people killed.

But Donald Trump, being an open racist, does not care about the history, and also the exposure of a large number of Trump followers who will be close together, without social distancing and no requirement to wear face masks, in the middle of the CoronaVirus Pandemic, that has killed 120,000 people so far.

How much more immoral and unethical could Donald Trump be? But he has shown a total lack of concern for human life, and loves to promote hate and division.

So expect a major increase in the pandemic in Oklahoma and nearby states in the days and weeks after this massive rally!

US Covid-19 Deaths Now Greater Than US World War I Losses

America has surpassed the losses the nation suffered in World War I over a year and a half, with COVID-19 losses in just three and a half months.

But the nation is moving on, accepting a loss that will reach 200,000 by Labor day, and likely a third to a half million by the end of 2020.

Most people are tired of sacrifice, and Donald Trump and his crazy followers are clearly not interested in using face masks, engaging in social distancing, or denying themselves any pleasures, whatsoever.

So the thought of death as something that is to be ignored, and using the argument that people die every day, is ignoring the reality that we have become a nation which no longer values the elderly. We are forgetting that one day those of the population who are younger, and have lost concern about their parents, grandparents, and others of older age, are showing a total lack of respect for age, and what these older people have contributed to this nation and its successes.

Death has, sadly, become a cheap commodity, even for those who claim false religiosity, but are not serious in preserving life!
