Right Wing Split Over Iran War Escalates

Who would think that the Donald Trump MAGA Republicans are rapidly escalating their massive split over the Iran War, perpetrated by Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel 19 days ago?

We are seeing a major, bitter dispute of two groups of so called MAGA Republican and right wing Sycophants, on their podcasts and also right wing cable stations, particularly Fox News Channel.

In the Anti Iran War camp, we have among others:

Tucker Carlson
Joe Rogan
Megyn Kelly
Candace Owens
Steve Bannon
Piers Morgan

In the pro Iran War camp, we have among others:

Mark Levin
Ben Shapiro
Sean Hannity
Jesse Watters
Brian Kilmer
Laura Loomer

Both camps are engaging in bitter, nasty, aggressive, insulting rhetoric, almost like a “holy war”, more than a bit shocking!

And sadly, the Anti Iran War camp is engaging in antisemitism on a massive scale, along with anti Israel rhetoric, denouncing Zionism in a way highly disturbing!

The latest political trend of the current Republicans’ dominant Conservative Christian political movement in the United States that is identified as “Christian Nationalism.”
    (Neo-Nazi and Klansman)

This movement totally ignores the wisdom of our Founding Fathers’ “Separation of Church and State” wisdom, under their own hubris pretense “that they are doing God’s work;” which happens to coincide perfectly with their own ignorant prejudices.

History has shown us over and over again, that movements fueled by extreme prejudices and hostilities towards others will eventually “start feeding upon themselves and will begin to eat their own.” This is a common observation in political science and history. This process is often described as the “purity spiral,” where members must constantly try to prove they are more reactionary than the next to maintain status quo, thus improving their own status within the movement.

There is also the evidence of a lack of empathy, the detached abusive treatment towards others, like we are hearing of the many prominent leaders who indulged in the sexual predatorial aspect of the young girls Jeffrey Epstein supplied to them.

When a movement is defined by what it hates, it eventually turns that scrutiny inward, searching for traitors within. Anyone who suggests moderation, compromise, or even a slightly different strategy are labeled as “traitors” or “RINO” (Republican In Name Only), leading to constant internal purging. Maintaining a high level of “vialness” or anger is exhausting. Over time, more moderate supporters may drop off, leaving a smaller, more concentrated, and more erratic core that struggles to function in broader society.

Extremism often prioritizes ideological purity over competence. This can lead to the dismantling of the very systems or parties the movement relies on to exert power. We saw this on January 6th when Trump orchestrated a violent overthrow attempt on our Democracy, killing some who were trying to protect the Capital.

While these movements can be incredibly disruptive in the short term, history suggests that without a constructive or unifying vision beyond “anti-other” sentiment, they often impolode upon itself.

In conclusion, governance via hate has no longevity. The real question is, how much devastational damage will be done before this happens, and will we ever return to the values like we once had?
