Age, Gender, Race, And Education Gap In Polls On Presidential Election Of 2024

At this point of the campaign for the Presidential Election Of 2024, there is a major age, gender, race, and education gap developing.

Young women are overwhelmingly favoring Kamala Harris, while young men are giving a slight edge to Donald Trump.

Also, older white men are giving a wider margin to Trump, while older white women are more evenly divided.

One must recall that younger voters in the Presidential Election of 2020 gave the edge to Joe Biden.

Now, overall, younger voters, women voters, and racial minority voters (Black, Latino) are clearly favoring Harris, along with college educated voters and suburbanites, while older voters, less educated white voters, and rural voters, are favoring Trump.

Whether these major divisions based on age, gender, race, education, and location of population will be sustained by Election Day will be interesting to watch!

Urgh! A new poll from The New York Times and Siena College that surveyed likely voters indicates the presidential race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump is nearly evenly matched. While there is a margin of error of 3 percentage points, Trump is ahead of Harris in a 48% to 47% lead.

The figures are similar to the Times and Siena College’s July poll, which followed President Joe Biden dropping out of the race and Harris announcing her presidential campaign.

In the seven battleground states — Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Georgia, North Carolina and Arizona — Harris is slightly leading or tied with Trump, according to the latest poll.

Further, 28% of likely voters claimed to want to know more about Harris, while, by contrast, just 9% were seeking to know more about Trump, the survey found. As such, Tuesday’s scheduled debate between both candidates presents a high-stakes opportunity for Harris to gain the support of additional voters, the Times noted.

I know how you feel. It’s crazy that this election is even close!

At a rally this weekend, Trump talked about killing immigrants.

Seconded, Rustbelt. It remains INSANE that this race is even close, given that the Republican nominee is a rapist, racist, insurrectionist, traitor, felon, scumbag, wannabe dictator, etc, etc. What. The. F*** America??? In a relatively sane, informed country, this race should be like 60% Harris-40% Trump (and an Electoral College landslide for Harris) – or more!
