Fox News Channel Poll Shows Obama Ahead Of Romney By Five Points!

Imagine this: Fox News Channel, which has been attacking Barack Obama relentlessly for years, has come out with a poll showing Obama five points ahead of Mitt Romney, 48-43!

How is Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly going to explain this?

How is Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck and Michael Savage and Mark Levin and Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham and Michael Reagan and Lou Dobbs and Michelle Malkin going to explain this?

How is the Tea Party Movement and the evangelical Christian Right going to explain this?

How is John Boehner and Mitch McConnell and Eric Cantor going to explain this?

How is Human Events, the Weekly Standard, The National Review, the American Conservative and NewsMax going to explain this?

How is George Will, Bill Kristol, Tony Perkins and Grover Norquist going to explain this?

The answer is that they cannot answer this—and that when one realizes that this five point lead is BEFORE the gaffe of Mitt Romney about Libya is computed, it can only mean a wider lead for Obama in the next poll!

In other words, while no one wants to say it, face the facts!

THE ELECTION IS OVER, AND BARACK OBAMA IS THE WINNER OF A SECOND TERM!

But that does not mean one should not vote, as until the vote is counted, nothing is one hundred percent, BUT it is safe to say that the election is indeed over!

    Professor,
“President” Dukakis, “President Gore” and “President” Kerry were also ahead in the polls in early September in their respective races. I believe “President” Dole also had the lead relatively late in the polls.

I know President Obama is an incumbent, but the race is still only on the back stretch. Let us not count our chickens before they hatch. Polls mean
    bupkis.

You are correct, Paul. However, remember it is the Electoral College that counts, not the popular vote per se, and in that respect, as I have pointed out, IF Obama wins Florida OR wins Ohio and Virginia OR wins Colorado, Nevada, Iowa and New Hampshire, etc, he is the winner, so I am confident that the election is effectively over, and will be more so after the first Presidential and only Vice Presidential debate, and definitely by the last debate, the foreign policy debate of October 22!

    Hello Professor and Paul,
As I take great comfort in what you have said, I have to agree with Paul’s comments as “It ain’t over till it’s over!!”

As we have mentioned how this election is so important with regards to the Supreme Court for the next few years, I know we have to turn out for the vote to make sure it happens.

Let us not forget how easily the Diebold Accuvote TS machine can be hacked remotely “flipping” votes gathered with about $10 in electronic parts. I believe it was in Cleveland back in 2004 that W. Bush got 143,000 +/- continuous votes…..not one Kerry vote was cast to interrupt that sequence in an area that is largely Democratic and Black demographics. This is when they started to investigate the confidence and security of those Diebold voting machines……and this made the difference in Bush winning a second term…..which as proof showed did not really happen legally that second election.

YES, purging of Democratic leaning voting areas in Florida and a Supreme Court ruling gave W. the first term; and voting machine fraud in Ohio gave him is second term….and Destroy The Country to the state it is in today.

In the political battles I have been involved with, I always loved it when the opposition underestimated me……that is when they don’t even see the punch coming and I took the victory from them with them not even having a clue how far I had gotten.

What you say does indeed sober me a lot, and I guess you are right to “avoid counting your chickens before they hatch!”

If Obama were to lose, I do not think I would recover emotionally! And the country would be in great danger!

I live in a swing state (NH) and I’m sorry to say the trend is moving away from Obama. The mid-term elections in ’10 saw a complete turnaround in the state House and Senate seats. Romney has a 2nd home in the Lakes Region and is practically a “favorite son” in some spots. Negative home made anti-Obama signs are popping up. I live in Southern NH, where the demographics are more favorable Democratic, so if the mood is swinging that way in this region, the northern part of the state, which has been heavily Republican since early last century is even more so.

Who knows what impact the elimination of early voting and voter ID will have in some of the swing states.

I’m not trying to be all “doom and gloom”, but let’s not celebrate the re-election yet. Something totally unforseen overseas may come out of the blue and cast a negative pall on foreign policy. I know my first reaction on Libya and the Embassy in Cairo protests gave me flashbacks on the Iran hostage situation in 1979. A lot can happen in 50 days and who knows, maybe Romney will even keep his mouth shut and extricate his cranial device from his lower intestinal orifice.

I have already indicated above that I am sobered by what you and Engineer of Knowledge have stated.

So no more being gleeful yet!

MSNBC had some new poll numbers during Chris Matthews show last night. Obama is ahead by 5 in Florida and Virginia and by 7 in Ohio.

  8. Ronald September 14, 2012 9:35 am

Yes, but again, let’s not get too excited too soon!

Out of curiosity, what do you recommend as the best daily news source for Progressives?

  10. Ronald September 14, 2012 6:13 pm

There is no one source, but the best would include the NY Times and Washington Post, along with CNN! Notice that I list more than 100 links on the right side of the blog, all worth investigation at some point!

    Thanks for asking!

    Hello Professor,
I have sensed that Mittens is losing strength in “My Adoptive Neck of Ohio” here in Columbus. Those whom are usually obnoxious and boisterous promoting how they want the world to be and you should too, are uncommonly quite right now.

This being said, we still need to be very vigilant of the voting machines tampering and reviewing the voting rolls for those whom the Republican’s have purged in their states to make sure they are put back on.

I picked up a Wall Street Journal today and on the front page was an article stating that the President is ahead in Ohio by 7 points, Virginia by 5, and Florida by 5. I brought it home for some bedtime reading. (The “Wall Street Journal” cannot be accused of being a liberal bias publication)

When some are now asking: “Who in the hell hasn’t made up their mind”…the answer is no one!! I think everyone knows who they are going to vote for….they are just not going to say because they don’t want to subject themselves to the “Right Wing Nut Job’s” contempt for supporting the President…..Bottom line, they are going to vote for the President.

I think right now the timing, effort and additional concentration needs to be added to gaining the majority in Congress and purge the Tea Party dolts. Even many “Baby Boomers” Moderate Republicans are feeling this way. This will continue to promote the President but also give him the majority to push through the programs and legislation that needs to get through…….like the new Supreme Court Nominations that will be coming up.

  12. Ronald September 14, 2012 7:23 pm

You are absolutely right. It is time to focus on Congress, as without some major Democratic gains, Obama would have the same struggles he has had in the past four years. It is necessary to clean house as much as possible, and elect Democrats to the House and Senate!
