“SIXTY MINUTES” Controversy Emblematic Of News Media Crisis!

A free unlimited news media is essential for a democracy to survive, but the Donald Trump Presidency has been working full time to destroy freedom of the press.

Allowing CBS News to be “destroyed” by Paramount SkyDance owner David Ellison and his father Larry Ellison, in the name of “pleasing” Donald Trump and his aim of destroying the truth and the facts of history and current affairs, is a disaster, a tragedy of massive proportions. Their interference with the flagship show, SIXTY MINUTES, is a disgrace!

Scott Pelley, the highly regarded journalist who was the leading “star” of SIXTY MINUTES, denounced what is going on, and now has been fired, and the future of the landmark show, that has been part of the heritage of outstanding journalism, is in crisis after 58 years longevity since 1968.

If the Ellisons get their way, they will gain control of CNN as well, and further destroy honest, factual journalism.

Meanwhile, Jeff Bezos has undermined the Washington Post, with his machinations at that reputable newspaper, and the right wing tilt of its editorials.

And there have been controversies surrounding ABC News and the Los Angeles Times as well.

All this, as well as the manipulative, deceitful, lie based Fox News Channel and the New York Post, owned by Rupert Murdoch and his right wing empire.

So honest, accurate journalism is in a massive crisis.

CBS has sold it’s soul to Trump, and I for one, intend not to watch any of it’s programing.

Hey Professor, I just found out that CBS and the BBC are official partners. They share a major editorial and newsgathering relationship that allows both organizations to trade video, editorial content, and reporting resources globally.Key Details of the Partnership:The Deal: Formed originally in 2017, the agreement replaced the BBC’s longtime partnership with ABC and CBS’s previous deal with Sky News.Global Reach: It enables both networks to enhance their international coverage by pooling resources in major news hubs like London, New York, and Washington.Shared History: The alliance builds on a longstanding historical relationship dating back to World War II, when legendary CBS journalist Edward R. Murrow broadcast his famous reports directly from BBC studios in London.

Wayne, I am glad to learn of what you have informed me about the partnership of CBS and BBC, but I wonder how it affects CBS News, SIXTY MINUTES, and other CBS products, due to the Ellison Family control.

    Speaking of the media…

Why does the media ignore Trump’s madness?

“His Truth Social posts show he’s better suited in a mental institution than at a negotiating table.”
