Presidents Day 2026: Need For Updated Assessment, And One Scholar’s Viewpoint!

Presidents Day is tomorrow, Monday, February 16, a good time, after a full year of the second Presidency of Donald Trump, and one retirement year of Joe Biden, to reassess rankings of Presidents, particularly recent Chief Executives.

C Span is likely in process of reassessing its rankings of Presidents, last done in 2021, as Joe Biden became President, and Donald Trump became, at the time, a former President who had been defeated for reelection, but mounted an illegal, unconstitutional attempt to overthrow the results of the Presidential Election of 2020 through the US Capitol Insurrection of January 6, 2021.

There can be disagreement over many Presidents and their rankings, but with the reality that in recent years, the following Presidents have seen their stock rise in assessments of scholars, in chronological order:

Ulysses S. Grant
Harry Truman
Dwight D. Eisenhower
Lyndon B. Johnson

At the same time, the following Presidents have seen their stock fall lower in assessments of scholars, in chronological order:

Andrew Jackson
James K. Polk
Woodrow Wilson
Ronald Reagan

In the view of this scholar, author, and blogger, the thought is that the following recent Presidents will be likely to benefit the most in the future in rise in rankings from where they are presently, in chronological order:

Gerald Ford
Jimmy Carter
Barack Obama
Joe Biden

But the debate over Presidential performance will continue, certainly, to be heatedly debated for the long term future.

A Masad agent on 60 Minutes discussing the exploding pagers project that basically decapitated the hezbollah leadership. He spoke of the planning, the organizational aspects, and the logistics required to make this all happen.

He went onto made the statement, “We are the directors, the writers, and the producers of the movie that you call “reality.” It’s all a stage.”

Masad is very good at recruiting human assets in countries everywhere for their intelligence gathering agencies. They look for the weaknesses within the person they are targeting, then exploit that weaknesses to their advantage.

On Netflix, there is a popular Israeli action-thriller series called, “Fauda.” The story line is about an elite undercover IDF unit, led by Doron Kavillio, that operates in Palestinian territories, with the show exploring the conflict from both Israeli and Palestinian perspectives.

It doesn’t take a lot of effort for one to note all the insecurities, intellectual shortcomings, overcompensating horribilis, plus what psychology refers to as the, “Dunning-Kruger Effect,” that is Donal Trump. For his simple mind, all Masad had to do was to play upon his ego, and they can control him like a marionette.

In today’s global political environment, and what we are noting from this Administration, it is not beyond comprehension that Trump has been comcompromised.

The media is whitewashing Rubio’s speech, LYING that it had a “more moderate tone.” I mean, Rubio referred to a “climate cult” and railed against immigration – that is NOT “moderate”
