Rand Paul And Libertarian Ideas Dead In the Water As It Should Be!

Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul and his libertarian ideas, learned from his father, former Texas Congressman Ron Paul, are in free fall, dead in the water, as they should be!

Libertarianism is anti government, when government is necessary and essential, and all it does is promote selfishness, greed, and lack of compassion and empathy for those less fortunate!

This includes children, the elderly, the poor, the sick, the disabled, and people of all races, ethnicities, and religions.

For Rand Paul to attempt to block essential legislation to provide relief for tens of millions of Americans from the economic damage of the CoronaVirus Crisis, is obscene, despicable, reprehensible, and unconscionable!

A place in hell is reserved for this excuse of a human being, who deserves no sympathy or endorsement by any decent person!

Hmmmm. Well, why don’t we just take him out behind a dumpster and introduce him to the fishes?

    Couple of questions:

    1. How long will Senator Paul’s hold up passage of that Omnibus COVID-19 Rescue and Bailout Bill? 48 hours?

    2. To exactly which part of his amendment do You and especially all the corprativist Senators ~ Republocrat and Demican, Bidenites and Sanderistas, in particular ~ object?

“The sources said Paul is forcing a vote on his amendment, which would ‘require a social security number for purposes of the child tax credit, and to provide the President the authority to transfer funds as necessary, and to terminate United States military operations and reconstruction activities in Afghanistan.'” [https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/senate-coronavirus-bill-vote-delayed-after-rand-paul-pushes-doomed-n1162356]

My guess is that what has everybody so frothed is that obviously obscene idea of terminating “United States military operations and reconstruction activities in Afghanistan.”

Or the idea that the President has to “transfer funds” to pay for all this, and not simply just have the Fed create more debt and the Treasury print more dollar bills

i would make the argument that Mr Paul may be the only person up on Capital Hill who is taking the Constitutionally-mandated responsibility of at least the Senate seriously.

    Be that as it may.

i’m still waiting for You or one of Your Acolytes to answer the question i asked in response to Your “Greatest Crisis” piece yesterday: “Does anybody have even a single clue as to how the US government plans to pay for all these bailouts, stimulus programs, $1000 checks, and so forth?

“Other than the Federal Reserve creating more credit, the Treasury printing up more, and more, and more Continentals/Greenbacks/Federal Reserve Notes, and billowing up the $23.4 trillion national, sovereign Debt even further?

“Do the words “hyperinflation” and Weimar Germany ring a bell?”

i will not volunteer to hold my breath until i get a response to this question from You or anybody else; especially in Swampland.
That is a question that apparently no one is permitted to even think about; let alone actually ask and reasonably expect an answer.

i will respond in a bit to Your extended defense yesterday of The New Deal that contains as many errors as does this piece and Your description of what You call “libertarianism” in a bit.

Have a great day; especially now that the stock market has shed all the gains it had made since Trump took office. Boy; is That going to hurt his chances for re-election, eh?

If there even is an election. Eh?

Goodyear has a plant in our neck of the woods. Right now, they are shutting their plant down until at least April 3. If this goes on longer, there’s no telling how long those people are going to be out of work.

There are reports that young people may be more vulnerable to the virus than first thought.

The Goodyear workers are an excellent example of why I support government assistance to help people affected by this crisis.

Many of our governors around the country deserve to be praised. Many of them are showing the leadership that is lacking from Trump.

Lt. Gov. Fairfax is urging Northam to have some stricter measures. Fairfax wants the state to force all bars, restaurants, gyms and theatres to close for the month and only provide carryout and delivery services.
Other changes mentioned in the letter include closing all schools, universities and colleges for the rest of the school year and continue all education online.
