Conservatives, Republicans, The “Work Ethic”, And The “Big Lie” Technique!

Conservatives and the Republican Party LOVE to promote the virtues of WORK, while at the same time, the Republicans in Congress have set up a work schedule which is far fewer days than when the Democrats controlled the House!

Conservatives and the Republican Party talk about work, but in their mind, their goal is to make people work more hours and years than is healthy for any human being, because by refusing to raise the minimum wage, cutting unemployment compensation to victims of the Great Recession, and cutting food stamps, and therefore, nutrition to women and children and the elderly, it forces people to take low wage jobs if they can get them, work two to three to four part time jobs, raising their chance of getting sick, and then, going into bankruptcy as a result. And the thought of EVER retiring or cutting back on work hours is a distant dream for millions of Americans being victimized by the greed and selfishness of the power elite!

The thought that people should have time for a real vacation; or to take off time for the family; or to start a new business or pursue education–all of these become impossible because conservatives and the GOP are out to exploit the American people, make the middle class poorer, and kick the poor around, including encouraging larger families than people can afford, by denying contraception and abortion, and instead, promoting government interference in the personal and private lives of all of us!

Meanwhile, the ruling class works less and less, gets more vacations, mistreats the people who serve their every whim, and look with disdain on the “slave labor” that they are promoting by their lack of compassion, empathy, and basic decency about those struggling to survive and have a little security and contentment, as that does not benefit the corporations and the top few percent who boss everyone else around and think they are working very hard!

This situation is very dangerous, almost a powder keg, as when finally the American people realize what is happening, it could lead to violent results, which would benefit absolutely no one!

And conservatives and the Republican Party utilizing the “Big Lie” technique about ObamaCare and everything else that has occurred under the Obama Presidency will eventually reverberate on them as well, when it is understood that they have been totally unconcerned about the American people, and the reaction will not be pretty!

The CBO made if official, you don’t have to work, ” you can bang on the drum all day” what a legacy obama.

  2. Ronald February 5, 2014 7:05 pm

Dave, you are truly stupid, as you do not know what the CBO said, and are listening to the Kool Aid of Fox News Channel and the Republican Party. There will be people working fewer hours or choosing to stay home and bring up their families, or start a new business, or go to school, etc, as they will not have to work as many hours or for jobs that are crappy, just to have health care, as now they will have ObamaCare, liberating them from being exploited.

It does not mean they will not work, but maybe work less, and for themselves if possible, or on fewer jobs, so they will have a life, as I said in the entry above. There will NOT be fewer jobs, but fewer labor hours, and the Republicans are the only ones standing in the way of creation of more jobs, and promotion of infrastructure, education to advance people at work, and environmental advancements that benefit all of us!

But of course, you are too stupid and biased to admit the truth, and would rather believe your mythology. What a shame for an adult to be that clueless!

    Hello Professor,
When I was a U.S. Regional Sales Manager for a foreign owned European company, we worked on a 36 hour work week as this was normal working hours for the parent company. I also had a 4 week vacation time right from the start. We were competing and doing very well against U.S. companies for the business here in the U.S.

I would ask you to harken back to when computers were first showing up in the work place with the promise it was going to change the way we worked. Well that time is here.

Today when I am designing on the computer in 3D, I am producing what it would have taken 4 men to do in the same amount of time. Plus over the last 10 years, I have worked from home just as if I had been in the office, linked into the main frame, taking business calls from co-workers, etc.

It is the proletariats who have not changed with the times, who are still viewing their work life as it was 20 years ago. Those whom did not keep reeducating themselves so they can compete in the changing global market. They have deescalated their working middle class to the level of an Eloi subservient to the Morlocks. (Davy probably thinks I’m talking about male Witches)

This is where “Know Nothing Davy’s” vantage point is speaking from. He thinks he has all the answers when he really has no concept of the questions being asked.

Thanks again, Engineer, but Dave is clueless, I am sure! 🙂

  5. Engineer Of Knowledge February 5, 2014 9:37 pm

Well Davy, if you think asking for a living wage with sick leave, health insurance, vacation time, and a retirement package, is persecuting the wealthy; then YOU are part of the problem.

Yes Professor. I have to agree with you, Davy is clueless….. and he will continue to suck on the tit of conservative ignorance.

Dave…LOL !!! I guess you missed the memo and drank the koolaid !! Hahahaha!!! You are a piece of work !
    Listen up Brainiac….
    I resd the CBO report because #1 I ‘m a Nurse
#2 i have a brain which I Use unlike you trolls.
fact, the CBO report EXPLICITLY states that the estimated reduction in labor “stems almost entirely from a net decline in the amount of labor that workers choose to supply, rather than from a net drop in businesses’ demand for labor” and that “there is no compelling evidence that part-time employment has increased as a result of ACA.” Those notions are further supported by economic data on full- and part-time employment trends over the last several years.
IN CLEAR ENGLISH Dave….the report finds that Obamacare will reduce the number of people who are forced to work a job merely for the sake of health insurance!
This means people will not be at the mercy of employers in order to get health care coverage ! If some one wantsto work less , take
care of family members, go back to school, retire early , sit in their front porch and read a book.. They can!!! Health insurance will no longer be something employers can beat you over the head with!
The report was very clear, but I don ‘t think you can read and understand it. In short OBAMA CARE DOES NOT AND WILL NOT CUT JOBS !!!!!!

Thanks, Maggie, for your insights, but you must understand that Dave will never respond with facts, only with myths, and chooses to remain clueless and stupid, and this is what the Republican Party exists on, and stays in power, that they can keep the population STUPID and CLUELESS, and I must say, they are quite successful in that regard, a tragedy for our nation!

    @Pragmatic Progressive
The media is all about sensationalism now. Hence why the antics of Justin Bieber are often the top news stories of the day.

My hair stylist is the perfect example of why I support the social safety net. She has been suffering from chronic neck and back pain. Surgery and therapy haven’t helped. She has had to wind up closing her salon and go on disability. You may think that you are well off now but you never know what life will throw at you.

  10. Engineer Of Knowledge February 6, 2014 4:51 pm

What Davy has not come to reallity with is …..he is just one catastrophic illness from bankruptcy.

  11. Ronald February 6, 2014 5:10 pm

Princess Leia, and Engineer, you are both SO right, and all that would have to happen is for Dave to have a personal experience with a health crisis, or lose a job, to relate to what millions of others go through on a regular basis. But then, he might have been so privileged that he will NEVER understand that!

  12. JOB February 6, 2014 7:36 pm

Hi Maggie. Your last statement is incorrect. ACA has cut jobs. My sister who worked in a local ER was laid off. And I’m sure there is more. The problem with ACA is that it leaves too much power and control to insurance carriers and healthcare providers. The reason my sister lost her job was because the hospital wanted the same amount of profits. The system we have in place, even with the new ACA is awful. Because education and healthcare are two industries that should have nothing to do with capitalism.

  13. JOB February 6, 2014 7:46 pm

Hey EOK, what’s up my man? I have to disagree with your ideas on the European work ethic. I think Americans need to work harder. Maybe 80 hours a week with no sick days. No vacation. We need people to work themselves to death. They are living far to long right now and becoming such a burden on the tax payers.

  14. Ronald February 6, 2014 7:58 pm

Job, you are a riot! HAHAHA LOL But I wonder what Dave or Mark have to say about what you said in jest, and do not be surprised that they might think you are serious, and agree with what you said in jest! LOL 🙂

  15. Engineer Of Knowledge February 6, 2014 9:15 pm

Hey J.O.B You may have a point. If the working middle class works themselves to death by the time they are 50….well think of all that Social Security money paid in and not collected on. With this money saved…the upper 1% could have government funded French Riviera vacation as they SO deserve it because they did a good job. 🙂

  16. Ronald February 6, 2014 9:21 pm

JOB and Engineer, you should both apply for the Comedy Channel, and have a show together, competing with Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert! LOL 🙂

  17. Engineer Of Knowledge February 7, 2014 9:43 am

    Professor…. Who was joking?!?!?! 😉

Mark and Davy have convinced me to their way of thinking.

  18. Ronald February 7, 2014 9:52 am

Engineer, have you lost your mind? LOL HAHAHA!
