The Revelations About Trump And The Military Seem Likely To Be “The September Surprise”, Which Will Decide The Election!

There is a growing feeling that the revelations about Donald Trump calling those in the military “Losers” and “Suckers”, who have sacrificed their lives or been seriously wounded affecting their remaining lives forever, will be the decisive factor in the Presidential Election of 2020.

If this occurs, we may call the revelation of The Atlantic Magazine the “September Surprise”, rather than the traditional belief and often reality of an “October Surprise” that determines the final result of the election.

Many retired military, and many military families whose members are endangering their lives daily, have already expressed total shock and disbelief that their Commander in Chief has so little regard for the troops, and those in military cemeteries.

The fact that Donald Trump evaded the draft on the basis of “bone spurs”, signed off by a doctor who knew Trump’s father and had an apartment rent covered by the father for the favor of writing a draft deferment letter for his son, enrages many people, whether connected to the military or not.

The lack of respect and honor by Trump, who has made a big deal over those who bend their knee for the Star Spangled Banner, and constantly has invoked false military themes, is a moment of reckoning for many people who may not have been irritated by other issues and matters, but are so by this reality.

In addition to this, there are 3 tell all books coming out about Trump, further telling about what a horrible monster he is.

This whole flapdoodle about America’s War Dead “Losers” and “Suckers” will be completely forgotten by the end of October.

There will no doubt be new stories from “unidentifiable [but, trust us, ‘reliable’] sources” with new dirt on everybody: Trump, Pence, Biden, Harris, and Key Others, like Spouses, Kids, former Insiders, and so forth..

This nonsense is just getting started. Who knows? There might even be another 9/11.

[Like i said: i will comment only when it involves the Losers and Suckers story.]

Your original promise is that you were going to leave permanently. So keep that promise and leave.

  4. Jeffrey G Moebus September 7, 2020 11:00 am

Yeah, well Wilson and Roosevelt promised “No American Soldiers In European Wars.”

The obscenity of The Left’s hypocrisy in its reaction and response to the “Losers and Suckers” flapdoodle authorizes me to break that original promise.

Stop talking about Losers and Suckers, and You will hear not a peep from me.

Jeffrey, are you as ignorant as Donald Trump on history?

Germany presented a national security threat with the Zimmermann Telegram or Note to Mexico in 1917, and was declaring unrestricted submarine warfare as of January 31, 1917, so there was every reason to intervene with a nation interfering with freedom of the seas and threat to US National Security at the time!

It is true that there was no verification of the Zimmermann Telegram or Note at that time, but after World War II, it was confirmed that the text of the Zimmermann Telegram or Note was real, and that Germany planned to help Mexico regain the American Southwest they had lost in the Mexican War of 1846-1848!

So thank goodness for Woodrow Wilson doing the right thing and intervening, after long hesitation since 1914, a President NOT anxious to get America involved, but having no choice under the circumstances!

And are you trying to say that Imperial Japan, Nazi Germany, and Fascist Italy were no threat to American national security if they had won World War II in Europe and Asia?

Being isolationist while the threat of Fascism was worldwide was suicidal, and thank goodness that FDR had insight that others at the time did not have!

If you are that dense, then you are indeed a total moron, and there is something seriously wrong with your psyche, and you have annoyed enough people with your crazy postings, so it is time to leave for good! 🙁

I second that, Professor. We all can see by now that he’s just as ignorant as Scrump.

There are times you have to fight. WWII is the perfect example of that. It was imperative to stop Hitler and other Fascist regimes aligned with him from taking over the world.

RF: “Jeffrey, are you as ignorant as Donald Trump on history?”

That depends entirely upon what You mean by “ignorant” and by “history,” Professor.

Let’s see how ignorant You are of history. You claimed:

“Germany presented a national security threat with the Zimmermann Telegram or Note to Mexico in 1917, and was declaring unrestricted submarine warfare as of January 31, 1917, so there was every reason to intervene with a nation interfering with freedom of the seas and threat to US National Security at the time!”

Had the Allies inflicted a total blockade and ban on the shipment of all food, medicine, and other non-military goods and products to Germany?

Exactly how was unrestricted warfare against an illegal and immoral naval blockade preventing food, medicine, etc from getting to the German people a “threat to US National Security at the time!” [sic]? You confessed:

“It is true that there was no verification of the Zimmermann Telegram or Note at that time, but after World War II, it was confirmed that the text of the Zimmermann Telegram or Note was real, and that Germany planned to help Mexico regain the American Southwest they had lost in the Mexican War of 1846-1848!”

Isn’t that convenient that there was no confirmation “at the time” [when it would have actually meant something]; but that 30 years later, there suddenly was. “Confirmed” to be “real,” was it? By whom? And did those folks have any vested interest in confirming the “reality” of that telegram at that time?

And, Yeah, RIGHT. Germany had the capacity to transport arms, ammunition, equipment, tanks, and troops all the way across the Atlantic to Mexico to help the Mexicans ~ who had barely minimal control over their own country, let alone even the beginnings of an army to invade America ~ retake what they lost in 1848? Do You actually, honestly, and sincerely believe that? You concluded

“So thank goodness for Woodrow Wilson doing the right thing and intervening, after long hesitation since 1914, a President NOT anxious to get America involved, but having no choice under the circumstances!”

Rubbish. The whole purpose of World War I was:

    1. To dismantle the Ottoman Empire and open the Middle East and Northern Africa [where all that Oil was recently discovered] to the British and French Empires.

    2. To destroy the Czarist regime in Russia, paving the way for the collapse of that Empire as well, and the opportunity for Communism to become a real force in 20th century planetary [or at least European] power politics.

    3. To ~ especially after Versailles ~ guarantee that something like National Socialism was inevitable in Germany, thus setting up a natural “enemy” to the nascent Communism in Russia; and, of course, making World War II equally inevitable.

America’s involvement in WWI was no more “necessary” than its involvement in the French effort to re-establish colonial rule in Indochina after WWII.

But You are correct that Wilson actually had “no choice” in the matter. The people who pulled him out of a top hat to be President ~ his owners, operators, handlers, script writers, and controllers ~ made his decisions for him. And, they wanted ~ by hook or by crook ~ America to be in that War, come hell or high water. That was when America’s military-industrial complex got the beginnings of its free ride into the 20th century.

You then moved on to WWI’s planned and programmed sequel, WWII:

“And are you trying to say that Imperial Japan, Nazi Germany, and Fascist Italy were no threat to American national security if they had won World War II in Europe and Asia?”

That is exactly what i am saying. There is no way that Germany or Japan could have “won” that War in Europe or Asia, or any place else. At least not in the same sense that the US won it: unconditionally with total surrender and occupation.

Are You trying to say that Germany, Italy, and Japan could have invaded, conquered, and occupied the United States? Germany couldn’t successfully invade the USSR or Yugoslavia; Italy couldn’t even successfully invade Ethiopia, and Japan had its hands full with Mao, Ho, and the rest of its nascent, tottering “Empire.”

Do You actually believe that those folks could have successfully crossed the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and then successfully invaded, conquered, occupied, and ruled the United States? Apparently You do, given that You summarized:

“Being isolationist while the threat of Fascism was worldwide was suicidal, and thank goodness that FDR had insight that others at the time did not have!”

    You concluded:

“If you are that dense, then you are indeed a total moron, and there is something seriously wrong with your psyche, and you have annoyed enough people with your crazy postings, so it is time to leave for good!”

Well, Doc; i wouldn’t have bothered to respond to this sophomoric re-telling of history except for all the ad hominems and personal insults it contained.

So tell You what: You stay away from “Losers and Suckers” and personally insulting me, and i’ll stay away from Your little kingdom.

The only thing I agree with the troll on is that other news stories will replace #Losergate by October.

  10. Jeffrey G Moebus September 7, 2020 2:45 pm

Thank You, Southern Liberal. i’m glad we can agree on at least one thing.

OBTW: In case anybody might be interested, the primary sources for my comments about WWI are Caroll Quigley’s TRAGEDY AND HOPE, and Albert Jay Nock’s THE MYTH OF A GUILTY NATION.

Only thing I’ve ever agreed with him on is when he mentioned about music of the past is better than music of today.

  12. Jeffrey G Moebus September 7, 2020 3:47 pm

Why Thank You, Former Republican. That’s probably only because we are the same age, eh?

When’s the last time You listened to Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth”? Or Hendrix’s “All Along The Watchtower”? Or Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb”?

    Anthems for America in 2020.

Of modern performers, we tend to like people with throwback styles – Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Adele, Norah Jones, to name a few. Josh’s Bridges album is perfect for 2020, helping to calm and heal divisions.

  14. Rational Lefty September 7, 2020 4:52 pm

This is the perfect anthem for 2020 –

  15. Southern Liberal September 7, 2020 5:09 pm

Awesome! Glad the band is back to being rock!

  16. Rational Lefty September 7, 2020 5:12 pm

Speaking of Josh, he’s got a new album coming out in November, called Harmony. From what I hear, it’s going to be 90% covers, which he’s really good at. That’s going to be on my Christmas wish list this year.

Regular news media will definitely move on, but blogs on Twitter and Facebook will keep incidents like this alive, to remind voters of what a horrible creature Trump is.
