Texas Senator Ted Cruz is extremely ambitious, very greedy, and has a maniacal egotism, as he seeks to become the GOP Presidential nominee in 2016.
He will stop at nothing, dividing his own party, and promoting recklessness, to the extreme, that he now advocates the closing down of the military, along with putting millions upon millions of Americans in danger of economic calamity, by stopping Social Security and Medicare benefits, Veterans benefits, and closing down government agencies, paralyzing the every day activities of government, and stopping pay checks to federal employees and soldiers fighting overseas.
The fact that ObamaCare was passed into law by a majority of both houses of Congress; upheld by the Supreme Court; and reaffirmed by the second term victory of President Obama, seems not to be enough to Cruz, who does not care about the effects on our economy and national security due to his lunatic behavior.
But now, even the House GOP Tea Party Caucus is starting to turn on him, and Senator John McCain has not minced words, in calling Cruz a “whacko bird!”, which he most certainly is.
Cruz’s behavior is now likely to undermine his campaign for President, and it is certain that if, somehow, he makes it through GOP primaries and caucuses in 2016, and is the Republican Presidential nominee, he will be handed a walloping defeat, which will cleanse the GOP of its right wing extremist elements! Either that, or the party will be relegated to the dustbins of history!

Just reading about Dante’s vision of the nine rings (levels) of Hell. I would have to say is one of my favorite is the second ring, “Gluttons.”. This group was forced to lie facedown in a vile slush of sewage, their mouths filled with the product of their excess.
Then my imagination went directly to Dick Cheney, Ten Cruz, and the 2004 Republican Congress with this descriptive imagine.

Ted Cruz’s advantage is having been elected from a state from his 2012 victory was easy. He performed similar numbers winning in Texas as did Mitt Romney.
The insiders in the Republican Party won’t want him to be the 2016 presidential nominee in part because he’s not easily controlled. Florida U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio is more favorable to them, as Rubio often comes across as he is constantly trying to figure out the political winds.
If we want to see a true Republican party meltdown, at the presidential level, the party can do that to themselves. And they would lose in epic form as they did in 1964 with Barry Goldwater. (Variations of the map.) That’s because those on the inside know that Ted Cruz is plenty capable of winning Texas, as the state had been in 2012 (and we’ll see how it is going forward), but that the junior U.S. Sen. is not going to be viably effective outside the Lone Star State.

It was in 2004 – 2006 that the Republicans took the House, Senate, and White House. This is when ALL financial safeguards were removed and the results were the crashing of the economy.
Of course the Working Middle Class took the biggest share of the hit.

Ted Cruz will go down in history as one of the worst villains EVER to hold a Senate seat, along with characters such as Jesse Helms, Theodore Bilbo, Joseph McCarthy, Strom Thurmond, and James Inhofe.
He has destroyed any future he might have, other than being a Senator, although, hopefully, Texas will reject him in 2018, when they realize what a mistake they made in electing him, maybe putting Wendy Davis or Julian or Joaquin Castro in the Senate to replace him.
And if he continues his “reign of terror”, maybe he will be condemned and censured by his own colleagues, as look alike Joseph McCarthy experienced in 1954!
