As the campaign of Democrats Kamala Harris and Tim Walz draws large crowds at rallies, and raises massive amounts of funds and volunteers for the battle ahead, Republicans Donald Trump and JD Vance are flailing in their campaign.

Donald Trump has made many blunders, including:

His selection of JD Vance as his Vice Presidential running mate.

Racist attacks against Kamala Harris, and his disgraceful performance at the National Association of Black Journalists gathering in Atlanta, particularly against ABC News correspondent Rachel Scott.

His bragging about ending abortion rights, through his gaining the end of Roe V Wade by his Supreme Court appointments.

His involvement and connection with the extremist right wing Project 2025, and Vance’s authorship of the Introduction to the 922 page document.

His attack on fellow Republican, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, for having refused to back his attempt to interfere with the election results in the Presidential Election of 2020.

His praise of Russian leader Vladimir Putin for making the deal for release of Americans wrongfully held, rather than praising Joe Biden and the US Government for bringing home those individuals.

The momentum is definitely toward the Democrats at this point, with some public opinion polls showing Kamala Harris ahead of Donald Trump for the first time.

Harris-Walz Ticket On Offense Before Large Crowds!

There was a sense of electricity and destiny in the massive crowd of 14,000 that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz spoke before yesterday evening in Philadelphia.

And today, in Wisconsin, in very hot weather in Eau Claire, before a crowd in a rural part of that Midwestern state, 12,000 showed up, with the sense of destiny continuing.

Donald Trump and JD Vance are unable to draw crowds anywhere near these sizes at Republican rallies, and it is driving Trump crazy!

It seems clear that the Harris-Walz ticket has gained an energy that was lacking when President Joe Biden was still running for another term.

And the more the nation learns about Tim Walz—the teacher, the coach, the National Guardsman, the Congressman, and the Governor–the more it inspires the Democratic Party to a sense of optimism and confidence about the upcoming Presidential Election of 2024!

Republican Attacks On Joe Biden Totally Disingenuous!

With President Joe Biden having withdrawn from the Presidential campaign, opposition Republicans have displayed a total lack of respect, and being totally disingenuous about his time in office.

It is understandable that for political reasons, Republicans would be critical of Biden, but they are going beyond the pale, and asserting totally ridiculous and preposterous comments about Biden.

We see Donald Trump, but also many other Republicans, asserting that Joe Biden is the worst President in American history, which demonstrates not only the horrible character of all concerned, but also, a total lack of knowledge of Presidential history!

It is a fact that no reputable Presidential scholar or expert would rate Joe Biden at the bottom of the 45 Presidents America has had, while many have made it clear that, indeed, it is Donald Trump who is the worst ever occupant of the Presidency.

So for Donald Trump to make such a stupid, moronic statement, is again an example of the psychological definition of “projection”!

But beyond that reality, how can any intelligent person say Biden is the worst, when he is rated as the “best” domestic achieving President in 60 years, since the time of Lyndon B. Johnson?

Biden was rated number 14 in the recent assessment of the American Political Science Association!

And what about such Presidents as Andrew Johnson, James Buchanan, Warren G. Harding, Franklin Pierce, Herbert Hoover and a multitude of other Presidents who have been correctly rated as “disasters” or “tragedies” in office?

Public Opinion Polls Show Surge Toward Kamala Harris!

In just ten days since Joe Biden withdrew and Kamala Harris entered the Democratic Presidential race, public opinion polls show a great surge to Harris in all of the “swing states”.

The seven “swing states” include:

Pennsylvania
Michigan
Wisconsin
Arizona
Georgia
Nevada
North Carolina

All seven show Harris ahead of where Biden was, and leading Donald Trump or within the “margin of error”.

Fundraising has been massive, and Harris had a raucous crowd of 10,000 in Atlanta on Tuesday evening.

And for those who did not realize it: Kamala Harris is quite charismatic and dynamic as a speaker, and her smile and optimism ring true, demonstrating that she has been underrated, just like Joe Biden was in 2020!

Biden’s Supreme Court Reform Proposal A Great Idea For Long Term!

Joe Biden’s Supreme Court Reform Proposal makes sense for the future.

Eigthteen years should be the term for future members of the Court, with two new appointments for every future President in each four year term.

The idea of Justices staying in office at advanced years is something that should be prevented for the future.

At the same time, it is not possible to limit the number of years of present members of the Court.

But adding more members to the Court is perfectly sensible until and when the present membership of the Court retires.

The idea that one party should constantly control and dominate the Supreme Court is reprehensible, as it should a Court based on the vote of the people as to who they want for the Presidency.

Some sense of political party balance is essential for the Supreme Court to overcome the horrible reputation it has presently, the worst ever in modern history!

And Biden’s proposal for a binding ethics code for the Court and its membership is urgent, after the revelations of the corruption of Clarence Thomas in particular!

Republican Personal Attacks On Kamala Harris Backfiring!

Donald Trump and the entire Republican Party are utilizing personal attacks on Kamala Harris, as they did on Barack Obama in 2008 and throughout his Presidency.

It is totally disgusting that Republicans mispronounce her name; say she is a “DEI” candidate; and ridicule the fact that she laughs heartily.

This is backfiring, as already, it is clear that it is alienating large numbers of women; drawing growing support of minorities who were not enthusiastic about Joe Biden running for reelection;and exciting younger voters who might have tuned out, due to “two old guys” competing in a second round running for President.

Instead, now that Donald Trump is the lone “old guy” in the Presidential race, suddenly the enthusiasm that Trump thought he had built up by picking Ohio Senator JD Vance as his running mate, has disintegrated with Vance’s attack on what he calls “cat ladies” who remain single and have no “skin in the game” of America’s future, an outrageous utterance!

The momentum of this Presidential race is changing rapidly in favor of Kamala Harris, as she aims to be the first mixed race woman President, another step forward after Barack Obama became the first African American President!

Joe Biden Exit Speech Brings Up Age Issue For Future

President Joe Biden gave a dignified, principled speech about his exit from the Presidential race last night.

However, it was sad to realize that his voice was weak, and that he seems to have far less energy and drive than one has seen in a public speech of a President in decades.

While every human being is different, it seems clear that no one in the future who is past the early 70s should be permitted to run for President.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who left office at 70 years and 3 months, at the time the oldest person to be President, made the statement that no one older than he was as he left office, should be President. That statement was ignored, but makes a lot of sense in retrospect.

Of course, there cannot be a formal age limit to run for the Presidency, as it would be perceived as “ageism”.

But after having Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump, and Joe Biden all demonstrating signs of decline in their Presidencies, and since in the case of Donald Trump, it would be wise to work to avoid anyone reaching 70 from having the advantage to run for the Presidency.

Let us not forget that Bob Dole and John McCain were also in their 70s when they ran for the Presidency, and that we still have a number of very advanced age Senators and Congressmen, and even Supreme Court Justices, but the need long term for younger leadership is essential!

Kamala Harris Begins Her Presidential Campaign Against Evil Of Donald Trump And JD Vance

It is a bit more than 24 hours since Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the Presidential race, but already his Vice President, Kamala Harris, is gaining widespread support for the nomination, and there has been a great surge in campaign contributions of nearly $81 million in one day!

Harris seems highly likely to have no real competition for the nomination a month from now, so the question of who should be her running mate will be most important.

There are a wealth of possible alternatives, with six candidates discussed by this author and blogger two days ago.

At this moment, speculation is centering around Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, but with Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear also being mentioned.

One thing for sure: A younger, new generation of leadership is challenging the opponent, Donald Trump, who is elderly, clearly mentally deranged in his statements, including nastiness toward Joe Biden, rather than grace as he leaves the fray.

His running mate, JD Vance, is a threat to the nation long term with his connection to Project 2025, which would destroy American democracy and the rule of law!

So the battle has begun for the future of the nation, and it cannot afford to be lost, anymore than the case with Abraham Lincoln in 1860 and Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1940!

Historic Moment: Joe Biden Drops Reelection Bid And Endorses Kamala Harris For President!

After 24 tortous days, Joe Biden has finally decided to withdraw from the Presidential Election contest of 2024, and has thrown his endorsement to Vice President Kamala Harris.

It was a very emotional moment for this author and blogger, when he learned of the news at 2 pm EST today, as he has been a long time fan and supporter of Joe Biden.

But it is the right thing to do, as Joe Biden has produced an exceptional record in his one term in office, and will go down as the most successful one term President since James K. Polk in the 1840s, and a lot more positive than Polk was. But at his age, it was time to move on to the future, knowing he saved democracy by defeating Donald Trump in 2020.

Now it is time to unite around Harris, and make her the 47th President, and the battle is on, against the most evil and corrupt President in American history, Donald Trump, and his dangerous Vice Presidential running mate, JD Vance!

Potential Vice Presidential Nominees With Kamala Harris If She Replaces Joe Biden

Discussion has begun of potential Vice Presidential nominees who would join Vice President Kamala Harris on the Democratic Party ticket, if President Joe Biden decided to withdraw from the race, which seems more likely by the day.

Speculation has that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer might make for a “dynamite” ticket with Harris, making it an all female competition against two Republicans, Donald Trump and JD Vance, who could clearly be called male chauvinists at the least.

What an exciting race that would be, but the question is whether it would be a winning race. Whitmer, being from Michigan, a crucial swing state, could be a dynamic addition to the race, but it would seem a major gamble to have an all female ticket.

Other possibilities of running mates for Harris include:

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear
North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper
Arizona Senator Mark Kelly

Shapiro is Jewish, while Buttigieg is gay, either being a step forward on those factors. Shapiro is also from a “swing state” and Buttigieg now lives in Michigan, a “swing state” after earlier being Mayor of South Bend, Indiana.

Beshear and Cooper have been successful as Governors in Republican states, and North Carolina could be in play in the upcoming election.

Kelly, whose wife Gabby Giffords, was a victim of an assassination attempt in 2011 when a member of Congress and has recovered quite well, is a former astronaut and from another “swing state”.

The potential Vice Presidential list is very impressive, and any of the list of six individuals would add to a ticket headed by Harris! All are younger than Harris, except Kelly who is eight months older than Harris, and Cooper who is nearly seven years older at age 67.
