Trump, Project 2025, And Open Declaration Of War On Federal Government: A Massive Crisis!

Donald Trump had claimed he knew nothing about Project 2025, a right wing radical attack on the federal government.

But now, it is clear that Trump is utilizing the extremism of Project 2025 to declare open war on the federal government!

The shock of Trump ordering a total freeze on all government funding immediately, which was only temporarily paused by a federal judge until a ruling on next Monday, is reeling across all 50 states and our relations with foreign nations as well.

Firing 18 Inspectors General who are committed to open, honest government investigations, and working to decimate the existing civil service protections of federal government workers in order to replace all of them with political loyalists, is also a shocking attack on the concept of honest, good government!

The decision of Trump to fire all those engaged in the Justice Department into his wrongdoings that led to impeachments and indictments, and also to weed out those in Defense and National Security posts who are not slavishly loyal to his vision, is terrifying.

Trump’s disruption of international relations and foreign policy with his aggressiveness toward Panama, Denmark over Greenland, and tariff threats against our Latin American neighbors and Canada, are a danger of massive proportions!

Trump is moving toward authoritarian dictatorship, which was predictable, and there is no time for shock, but rather for action by Democrats, the courts, and the sensible news media to move to prevent in every way possible this grab for absolute power!

Trump’s administration is corrupt and incompetent.

So, Trump is building at concentration camp at Gitmo?

A collision happened overnight in DC between a passenger jet and an army helicopter. Everyone was killed.

Several of the passengers on the plane were young figure skaters, their coaches and their families, returning from US Figure Skating Championships in Wichita, Kansas.

Trump is using his Truth Social to fuel crazy theories about the crash that include insults of army pilots.

Trump’s Inaugural Approval Rating Is Historically Low Again

“At 47%, President Donald Trump’s initial job approval rating for his second term is similar to the inaugural 45% reading during his first term, again placing him below all other elected presidents dating back to 1953. Trump remains the only elected president with sub-50% initial approval ratings, and his latest disapproval rating (48%) is three percentage points higher than in 2017, marking a new high for inaugural ratings.”

Trump is appointing Christopher Rocheleau as “acting commissioner” of the Federal Aviation Administration. The FAA did not have a permanent head because the agency’s former administrator, Mike Whitaker, stepped down on Jan. 20, the day Trump took office. Rocheleau has been serving as the FAA’s deputy administrator since Jan. 21.

It looks like we’re going to have four years of blaming women, Black, Brown and LGBTQ people for everything that goes wrong in this world.

That White House press conference brought back all the worst days of the daily briefings on Covid. He (Trump) has already decided what went wrong and who is to blame.

There was one air traffic controller working two different tower positions at the time of the collision Wednesday night. Makes me wonder if these cuts to federal workers that Trump is making played a role in this.

In the three years before this collision, at least two other pilots reported near-misses with helicopters while landing at the airport.

It sounds like the amount of air traffic may be a problem. Aviation experts say that the Washington region is a uniquely complex airspace to navigate. Flight restrictions enacted after 9/11 block air traffic from going near government buildings, military and government helicopters regularly traverse the area, and flights are constantly taking off and landing at Reagan, which has the busiest runway in the country.

In recent years, proposals to add more flights to the airport have also sparked heated political fights, with some lawmakers previously arguing that the airport was excessively congested and warning about safety impacts.

Well, there have been near-misses between planes while landing or taking off in recent years at other airports around the country as well.

Trump’s tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico supposedly go into effect tomorrow. Bloomberg is reporting that he’s going with the 25% tariffs. I haven’t seen that confirmed anywhere else.

This harassment of the media is right out of the authoritarian playbook – see Putin, Orban, Modi, Erdogan, etc for examples.

Notice how these protesters NEVER protest Trump/Republicans, ONLY protest Democrats? Hmmmm…

I have concluded that Trump is so angry about the attempts to hold him accountable for his crimes that he just wants to hurt Americans. I also think that he’s showing some serious signs of dementia now.

Trump officials today quietly scrubbed federal government websites of content that promoted diversity, equity and inclusion, taking them offline at 5 p.m. ET.

Another thing that happened today was references to climate change was removed from USDA’s website.

Trump’s Pentagon says it will ‘rotate’ out some media from offices.

“…it would also remove National Public Radio, Comcast Corp-owned NBC News and Politico, which must vacate their spaces by Feb. 14. In their place, it would give dedicated office space to the New York Post, One America News Network, Breitbart News Network and HuffPost News.”
