104th Birthday Of Richard Nixon A Reminder Of The Dangers Donald Trump Presents In Eleven Days!

Today is the 104th Birthday of Richard Nixon, the most dangerous, the most law breaking, the most paranoid, the most abusive, the most corrupt President in American history, but soon to be surpassed in every way by Donald Trump, who is a danger to American democracy and constitutional order.

It is frustrating to millions of Americans, that this man, who lost the popular vote by 2.85 million; only received 46 percent of the total popular vote; and is the seventh lowest percentage winner in history, with all the others having had strong third party support lower their popular percentage but in each case, except John Quincy Adams in 1824, WON the popular vote with their percentage, is soon to be inaugurated President.

Trump ran the most divisive campaign since Richard Nixon, and in some ways, even more divisive.

More than ever, the signs of the coming Trump Presidency are alarming, with concern about his utilization of executive orders being used in a abusive way to derail so many examples of progress done by executive orders of Barack Obama, but also earlier Presidents as well.

And also there is great concern about destruction of much of the New Deal of FDR and the Great Society of LBJ, and the possibility of engagement in overseas wars is growing.

This is different, dramatically so, even from when George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan were inaugurated, and even Richard Nixon, at least, had qualifications and experience for the Presidency despite his shortcomings, while Donald Trump has NO qualifications or experience for the Oval Office!

Trump is worse than Nixon. Today contrary to Nixon, no Republican will ever vote to impeach Trump for treason so he is executed as a traitor. We always had politicians in both parties that put country before party when it came to impeachment. Republicans with Nixon and of course Democrats with Clinton when they also voted to impeach Clinton. They was no voting down party lines. But with Trump , the Dictator, it is different. Congress can’t do anything!

Depressed Democrat, don’t be so sure with the new revelations about Trump and the Russians spying on him.

I think Trump will not survive the year 2017 in the White House!

Hopefully he is out soon. I can’t stand him , or any Republican issuing Executive Orders. Conservative hate the people and they only do harm. Conservative should be banned from issuing Executive Orders! All they do is harm people, even stupid racist white people! If it were up to me only progressives should be allowed to issue E.O. It’s been proven time and time again that progressive Democrat Presidents issue them for the good of the people. Progressive take care of the people and sometime democrats Presidents, like Obama need to issue them for our own good, especially when Congress is controlled by rich, racist, white Christians who are all one percenters! It’s not that difficult, we are good and they are evil! Wake up people! We have such an uneducated people in fly over country! If they were only as enlightened as us or as the Europeans! By the way I love Meryl Streep!

I share your sentiments, Depressed Democrat, but unfortunately, we cannot limit executive orders to progressives and Democrats in the White House,

But I truly share your emotions!

    Professor,
Right after the election, I joked with you that Trump would be the first to be impeached before he took the oath of office. After listening to news reports today, maybe my facetious remark may not be too far off the mark.

I am publishing an article on History News Network on Sunday/Monday about the 25th amendment, Section 4, making clear that Mike Pence may end up as “Acting President” at some point in the next year or two.

With each revelation, the Trump/Russia scandal mushrooms into a bigger story. America can’t have a compromised individual serving in the White House as president. Congress must seriously investigate this report. If it is determined to be true, Donald Trump can’t serve as President Of The United States.

Trump is a Russian spy, he must be stopped, dealt with as traitors are dealt with. We are the majority, Hillary is the legitimate true President of the people, she won the election! She deserves the Presidency! We deserve her as our President to govern and guide us to true progress! We need to do something!!!! Trump and the nazi Republicans are going to start sending people to camps, we cannot let this happen!

Appropriate day for his first news conference with reporters.Today, is the first full moon of the year and it is The Wolf moon.

I feel a new horror series coming on the silver screen during the next four years, starting with, “I was a teenage werewolf President”. He already has the hair do for the part– just needs some wispy facial hair.

Truly, the so-called news conference was a veritable food fight and an embarrassment. It,’ s going t!o be a long four years.

  10. Pragmatic Progressive January 12, 2017 8:42 am

If Trump tried something too extreme, I think that even the GOP would impeach him. Breitbart is not representative of the party as a whole.

  11. Princess Leia January 12, 2017 10:31 am

DD – Pragmatic is right. Not all the GOP was thrilled that Trump was their candidate.

It seems Rosie O’Donnell and I as well as millions agree. Martial law, military must step in. I just do not understand why some oppose the idea. Were we not told for over a year that Trump is a dictator? Were we not told that he is like Hitler? Were we not told he will deport millions and have a deportation force? Were we not told that he plans to sent people to camps? Is he not attacking right now the free press ? You cannot stop Hitler with words! Why we even got the equivalent of Himmler in Jeff Sessions about to be AG!

  13. Ronald January 12, 2017 8:05 pm

Depressed Democrat, you sound much too hysterical.

Bringing the military in means martial law and dictatorship, and is not the answer.

I am also greatly troubled by Trump, but when he gets out of hand, he will be stopped, I assure you, as Richard Nixon was!

So calm down, please, for your own health!

  14. Princess Leia January 12, 2017 10:23 pm

The Professor’s right. Military action is not the solution.

  15. Rational Lefty January 13, 2017 12:19 pm

DD – You’re overreacting. Nobody is going to be sent to camps.

As the Professor has said, there’s other ways of dealing with this than a military coup. He’s going to be facing challenges from the public, Democrats, his own party, state and local officials.

If testimony by some of his nominees this week is an indicator, Trump’s assertion that everyone in his cabinet will just follow orders, including illegal orders, such as torture, is meeting some road bumps.

  16. DepressedDemocrat January 14, 2017 12:59 pm

Overreacting? Too hysterical? Ok I have been reading and hearing that not only Trump but Republicans want to disenfranchise minorities, let children, women, the elderly, poor and minorities die , deport entire families, create a deportation force (and where will they hold the families before deporting them, in camps!), ban muslims, create a muslim registry , name racist conservative to the court and start wars! And you don’t want me to panic?

  17. Ronald January 14, 2017 1:04 pm

Depressed Democrat, you have managed in one paragraph to cover all areas of concern, and I share them with you, but I do NOT think it will reach that horrible a scenario, as I want to believe that there are people of good will, even in the Republican Party, as well as in society, that will prevent much of this from actually occurring.

Certainly, bad things will happen, but the power of the people in public assembly, and the power of the responsible news media will work to avoid the worst consequences.

I encourage concern, but not to lose one’s health over this, as I believe righteousness will endure over the long run, and we have plenty of champions fighting for us in government, so try to calm down, please!

  18. DepressedDemocrat January 14, 2017 7:30 pm

Ronald, it would not be the military but Obama that declared Martial Law. He is the second Father of our country, Washington being the first. He has the opportunity by declaring martial law to save our democracy. It is his destiny as the second Father of our country! Terry Moran from ABC said it best back in 2009: “I like to say that, in some ways, Barack Obama is the first President since George Washington to be taking a step down into the Oval Office. I mean, from visionary leader of a giant movement, now he’s got an executive position that he has to perform in, in a way.”
    — ABC News correspondent Terry Moran to Media Bistro’s Steve Krakauer in a February 20, 2009 “Morning Media Menu” podcast.
Do we not all agree with Moran? Has not Obama taken a step down to the Oval Office? He was sent to us as our guide and it is in him to save our Democracy. He has the moral obligation to correct the mistake of last November. To correct what ignorant white racist did. That is his destiny. He is the second Father of our country and as a father he has to protect us and guide us through these perilous times.

  19. Former Republican January 14, 2017 7:55 pm

DD – We’re not going to need martial law.

The rest of us also believe that there are plenty people of good will in this country who will work to prevent extremely bad things from occurring.

You yourself can help out by joining in the Indivisible movement. You can go here for more info about the Indivisible movement: https://www.indivisibleguide.com/

  20. Ronald January 15, 2017 12:37 am

Depressed Democrat, you are way off base in calling Obama a second father, after Washington.

Were Obama to declare martial law, he would be condemned in history, and it would insure civil war on a massive scale.

That is a crazy idea, and Former Republican is correct!
