Speaker John Boehner, we are well aware that you do not agree with the Tea Party whackos in your party, and that you wish to move immigration reform forward, and prevent future crises over raising the debt limit and shutting down the federal government!
We know that you have expressed, recently, your exasperation with these reckless, disobedient, anarchistic elements, but it is now time to put up or shut up, and that means halt IMMEDIATELY ANY talk of impeachment of President Barack Obama!
You know, Mr. Speaker, that Obama is a decent man, who you disagree with on policy, similar to what Senator John McCain said during his 2008 Presidential campaign. But McCain showed guts and courage when he contradicted a moronic woman at a campaign rally, who told him that Obama was a Muslim, not an American, and should not be respected.
It is now time for you to make clear that you will NOT allow any motion for impeachment to move forward, similar to what Speaker Nancy Pelosi made very clear when a small cabal of Democrats called for impeachment of President George W. Bush in 2007. She stated then, that while she disagreed on policy matters, there was no just cause for impeachment, and the idea was immediately dropped!
Speaker Boehner, you know in your heart of hearts, that Obama has done nothing illegal; has not committed high crimes and misdemeanors; and was voted into the Presidency twice by the voters by a clear margin. You should respect that reality, and take impeachment off the table, come hell or high water, in regards to retention of your own Speakership!
No move to impeach Obama will lead to his conviction in any case, so do not besmirch his reputation and his obituary, as sadly, Bill Clinton suffered unjustly in 1998-1999, only harming the Republican Party image and reputation!
And finally, realize that IF Obama, somehow, were to be removed, you and your party would be elevating Vice President Joe Biden into the White House, with less than two years left by the time of the impeachment trial, and that would give Biden the upper hand for the nomination and election in 2016 and 2020, creating the possibility of near to a ten year Biden Presidency, only surpassed by Franklin D. Roosevelt!
Do you really wish to do that, Mr. Speaker, as, after all, Joe Biden would promote the same agenda as Obama, and just might have the ability to get things done that could match Lyndon B. Johnson in domestic affairs?
So, Mr. Speaker, be a profile in courage, and nip the impeachment threat in the bud, as it benefits no one, including your party, and the nation at large!
Just like my Son in Law’s youngest brother who interned in Boehner’s office in D.C. during the budget vote of 2010. He devrloped the budget package but the Teabaggers were voting “NO” on his budget plan….From his chair in the Congressional Chamber, Boehiner shouted out in frustration, “Get your ass in line and vote this bill tjrough.!”

Mark, what you say is unlikely, as Joe’s gaffes are mostly a personal embarrassment, but make him “human”–not gaffes like Bush II and WMD, or Reagan slipping before going on the radio and talking about bombing the Soviet Union in five minutes!
What about McCain singing “bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran”. I think that revealed him as a despicable human being, yet he is one of the smiling type you mentioned you like.
Mark, McCain is a mixed bag, can be very nice, other times be very weird and difficult, but he is sincere in his dedication to his nation, and is FAR better in character and principle than 99 percent of the Republicans, with only a few, such as Jon Huntsman and Susan Collins being what I consider “decent”. I did not vote for him, but have respect for him, nevertheless!

It is my opinion that McCain will go down as one of the best Senators in U.S. history. I am proud to say I voted for him in ’08. This man has served his country honorably dating back to Vietnam. And his voting record has shown him to be more progressive at times, than our own President. It’s a shame to see flag waiving Tea Party members bash him day after day. But then again, he was never really a Tea Party conservative to begin with, was he? Unfortunately, he will forever be remembered for choosing that retard from Alaska as a running mate. I think he would have made a fine President.

Simple question Ronald. Is perjury an Impeachable offense under Article II, Section IV?
Personal infidelity, pursued by prosecutors as a political weapon, is not appropriate to be interpreted as perjury, and Ken Starr had no right to pursue that, purely a political weapon, and with those pursuing him being equally involved in personal infidelity. In his role as President, he did nothing impeachable. In his private life, he had the right of privacy under the Constitution.
Having said that, I wish to point out that I promoted the idea that Clinton should have resigned, but not be impeached. I thought his behavior in the Oval Office was reprehensible, but not to the level of impeachment, particularly with the recognition that he would never be removed from office by the Senate.
Only criminal acts, as Richard Nixon was engaged in, should lead to impeachment charges, not political ones as with Andrew Johnson in 1868 or Bill Clinton in 1998. But what happened with Clinton will allow political abuse of impeachment, and will probably lead to impeachment of Obama, which will waste a year, accomplish nothing except to besmirch his record in history, and divide the nation again, and ironically, help boost the popularity of Obama, as it has certainly done for Clinton in the past 15 years!
By the way, If Clinton had resigned, Al Gore would have been President, and I believe would have won a full term in 2000, and we would not have had the disaster of George W. Bush, who I contend did impeachable acts with the war in Iraq based on false information that I believe he knew to be false. But Nancy Pelosi refused to consider impeachment charges, and that is why John Boehner needs to do the right thing, and refuse to allow a vote on impeachment, even if it loses the Speakership for him.

That is true Ronald. But placing your left hand upon the bible, raising your right hand, and swearing to tell the truth when being deposed, and then lying? That’s perjury. And that’s an impeachable offense.
Look. Clinton could have avoided all these problems by just being honest. Because who cares. I’m not offended by his infidelities. Men and women cheat on their spouses all the time. That was a private issue between Bill and Hillary. And unfortunately Congress felt the need to investigate and appoint a special prosecutor. But once Clinton took that oath at the deposition he should not have lied. He did, thus committing perjury, which he should have been impeached for. He was also guilty of “Bad taste”. I mean come on. You’re a somewhat handsome man with that hillbilly charm. And you’re the President of the United States. And you commit adultery with Lewinsky? He could have done much better.
As far as Bush and war crimes? I’m up for discussing that.
And Obama? Someone would have to tell me what his impeachable offense is. The only crime I can think of is him being a pu##y who has coward down to the absolute worst Congress in US history. But I don’t think that’s a crime……. 🙂

You have a strange way of judging character, when I really think what gets to you is that Obama is too smart, too intelligent, and he scares you! I happen to think Cheney is deceptive and Bush did what Cheney told him, but that doesn’t change the fact that one of the biggest presidential lies of all times is “If you want like your plan, you can keep your plan”. And that he isn’t a likable person and has a natural, but also very well-refined ability to lie, which he couldn’t develop without making lying a habit. That’s why I trust Obama as much as I would trust Bernie Madoff.
Mark, in the long run of history, the Obama “lie” will be seen as the realization of real, decent heath care for millions, with clueless people not realizing they had junk insurance being finally aware that what Obama has done is historic.
