Gender, Racial And Ethnic Diversity Of Republican Presidential Candidates Will Not Affect Voting Patterns In 2016 Presidential Election!

The Republican Party, which has done very little to promote gender, racial or ethnic civil rights is now bragging that they are a “diverse’ party with Presidential candidates of gender, racial and ethnic identity.

It is true that Carly Fiorina is female; that Dr. Benjamin Carson is African American; and that Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are Hispanics of Cuban ancestry.  It is also true that in the 2012 Presidential election cycle that Michele Bachmann was female and Herman Cain was African American.

Having said that, none of these candidates in 2012 or 2016 represent the interests of their “groups”!

The vast majority of women would not have backed Michele Bachmann and will not back Carly Fiorina, if somehow, she was to win the Republican Presidential nomination.  She is totally against the kind of issues and legislation that most women want and expect, and most women will back Hillary Clinton if she is the Democratic nominee.

The overwhelming number of African Americans will, most certainly, reject Dr. Benjamin Carson were he to become the GOP Presidential nominee, as he has no concern about the plight of lower middle class and poor people of his race, and has sold out to the “white Establishment.”  And the same applies to Herman Cain in 2012.

And neither Ted Cruz nor Marco Rubio would do well among Latinos, as only three and a half percent of people of Spanish ancestry in America are of Cuban origin, while about 65 percent are Mexican Americans and 18 percent are Puerto Rican Americans. Neither group nor other Hispanics of other national origins would support these two Senators with their harsh, hard line attitudes on immigration reform.

So the GOP can “brag” all they want about their “diverse” pool of candidates, but it is all a facade and an insult, really, to women, African Americans, and people of Hispanic ancestry in America!

The Democratic Party cannot win without the black vote. They need for blacks to think that whitey is holding them back and that only the government can take care of them.
This time around, the Democrats have given blacks a choice between an old white woman and an old white man. Boring. Or they can choose the intelligent, highly successful black neurosurgeon running as a Republican. In fact, Dr. Ben Carson’s life story better aligns with black Americans than does President Obama’s. Dr. Carson and his brother were raised in the ghettos of Detroit by an illiterate single mother. During his speech at the 61st Annual National Prayer Breakfast, Dr. Carson spoke about how his mother used to pretend to grade his and his brother’s homework. Although she could not read, she would mark all over their assignments and make them redo them. Because of his mother’s strong discipline, he and his brother became very successful (a neurosurgeon and an engineer). You would think that all black Americans would be excited about a poor black kid pulling himself up through hard work and discipline. What an amazing, inspiring example for black children.
However, instead of being excited about Dr. Carson’s inspiring life story, the Democratic Party, including black Democrat intellectuals, are doing their best to destroy him. The last thing Democrats want is a black successful Republican who pulled himself up from poverty through hard work to make it to the White House. A real-life shining example would destroy the liberal message of government dependency, white privilege, institutional racism, and all the other lies and excuses that they have been telling blacks.
His life story is a threat to the entire leftist progressive enslaving narrative.

LOL! Sounds like Jeb’s “free stuff” comments.

I’ve seen that Bernie polls better against Trump, Carson, et al than Hillary does. Seems to me that people don’t want any more Bushes and Clintons.

It is clear that Politico and CNN , as well as the left Democrat party, are racist when it comes to conservative minorities like Ben Carson. Their latest smear is to lie about Carson being offered a scholarship to West Point. They seek to destroy conservatives any way they can. If you’re a black conservative the left can’t stand you because you are proof that their narrative of oppression is fiction. Ben Carson calls in to defend himself and says that Politico clearly has an agenda. The left has nothing on Carson with this fraudulent story.

LOL! They are in no way racist.

Clown show is on now. I’m flipping back and forth between that and The Voice.

I watched a bit of the clown show last night too. As with the previous TP/R debates, nothing of any substance came out. A lot of softballs being tossed around, but that’s typical, considering Fox Business is part of Fox News.

It’s the GOP thinking, “If we nominate someone who is not white, all voters who are also non-white—and we will assume they think alike—will back the party because we [the GOP] were willing to nominate someone who is not white.”

    Laughable.

    Contemptible as well.

    Absolutely in agreement, D! Thanks!

    Ariel (and, perhaps, several aliases),

I mentioned—with responding to a previous “Progressive Professor” blog entry—how the GOP depends on white voters at a rate of about 90 percent for whatever percentage their presidential candidates receive in the U.S. Popular Vote.

    You’re aware of this.

In the 1980s, the rate—for winning Republican presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush—was closer to 95 percent.

What this means is that, by dropping down to a 90-percent rate of return, with recent election cycles in the 2000s—and, thus far in the 2010s with the year 2012—the GOP is actually not getting a support level out of whites nationwide like they used to experience. That leaves them with no choice but to discover that the United States has people who are not white. The next step would be for the GOP to figure out why non-whites prefer the Democrats. (Hint: Making an assumption like Donald Trump recently did with Iowa Republicans isn’t going to solve the GOP’s problem.)

Thank you, anyway, for trying to enlighten us on the Democrats’ dependency on black voters! (If the Republicans were shifting them hard…GOP operatives would want blacks to vote in such old confederacy states like North Carolina.) Your concern did make me smile.
