Speaker Of The House Kevin McCarthy Clearly A Total Disgrace!

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy has no guts, principles, or courage! 🙁

He was elected only after many multiple ballots, and is trapped by the extreme right wing of his House majority, most specifically the “Freedom Caucus”, including Matt Gaetz of Florida, Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, Lauren Boebert of Colorado, Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Chip Roy of Texas and others.

McCarthy is about to allow the government to be shut down at the end of the month, which will harm the American economy!

He also insulted Ukranaian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, by not allowing him to speak before a joint session of Congress, forcing the speech to be in the old Senate chamber in the US Capitol, where a majority of Senate Republicans continue to support aid to Ukraine in its war with Russia.

The House Republicans and MAGA Republicans supporters of Donald Trump, along with the disgraced former President, do not wish to aid Ukraine, and show evidence of being pro Russian, which would astound Republicans of the past, including Joseph McCarthy (no relationship), Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and a host of others.

Kevin McCarthy’s catering to right wing demagogues and Russian supporters will condemn him in history as the worst Speaker in modern times, and that is not an easy assertion, as past Republican Speakers included the disgraced Dennis Hastert and the despicable demagogue Newt Gingrich!

To think that Kevin McCarthy is two heartbeats away from the Presidency is a danger sign, and Democrats MUST retake the House of Representatives in 2024 to restore the dignity of the House, that was so well represented by former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi!

The Republican Party is fast disintegrating!

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, after being impeached overwhelmingly by the Texas dominated Republican House of Representatives, is found not guilty on all counts by the Texas dominated Republican Senate.

Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert acted inappropriately in public with her date at a concert.

The Republican Presidential contenders move further to the extreme right in appeals to evangelical voters in Iowa, and try to outdo each other in their craziness and authoritarian tendencies.

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy allowed himself to be manipulated by his Freedom Caucus extremist members to start an impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden, knowing there is no evidence to do so, and just using the personal problems of Hunter Biden to attack the entire Biden family.

Donald Trump gave an interview to Kristen Welker of NBC Meet the Press, demonstrating ever further his mental deterioration and constant lying and deceptions.

Mitt Romney, when announcing his retirement at the end of 2024, told us that Mitch McConnell did not respond when Romney warned him of danger on January 6, 2021, four days ahead of that fateful date. Romney also condemned most Republicans who he said ridicule Donald Trump in private, but support him in public, and particularly mentioned Senators Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, and J D Vance. Their desire to have power overcomes the concept of commitment to basic principles.

In the past, we saw political parties in America, including the Federalist Party after 1816; the Democratic Republican Party in the 1820s; and the Whig Party in 1854, all dissolve!

It is time for the Republican Party name to be replaced by a new party name, and a rejection of much of what the present day right wing Fascist oriented party represents, in order to have a safe future of a nation committed to the Constitution and rule of law!

Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s Tenure In Danger!

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy is in great danger of losing his Speakership, and so far, the 118th Congress, with a small Republican edge in the House of Representatives, and a 51-49 Democratic Senate control, has accomplished almost nothing!

If McCarthy angers just one member of his caucus, a vote could come up to remove him from the Speakership, and if just five members of his caucus joined with the Democrats, he will be gone as the leader of his party!

The upcoming debt ceiling impasse will be a major test of whether McCarthy can survive the two year term of the 118th Congress!

The lunatic “Freedom Caucus”, with at least 46 sitting members, sadly, is controlling much of the Republican agenda in the House of Representatives!

This includes Matt Gaetz of Florida, Jim Jordan of Ohio, Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, and Lauren Boebert of Colorado, as the most controversial of a group in which all the members are extremists!

President Biden And The State Of The Union Address: A Grand Slam Homerun!

President Joe Biden hit a grand slam homerun last night in a magnificent State of the Union Address before a joint session of Congress, lasting more than an hour, and touching on all issues that needed to be addressed.

And the MAGA Republicans hurt themselves by their horrendous behavior and lack of respect for the President, including heckling and jeering, something Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy tried to prevent ahead of the gathering, but failed in his mission to do so.

The scene of Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, and other extremists misbehaving in a way that was totally inappropriate in this venue will be used by Democrats in the upcoming Congressional and Presidential campaigns of 2024!

Biden confronted the Republicans on the debt ceiling issue; on the danger to Social Security and Medicare; on immigration; on the issue of gun regulations and police abuses; on climate change; and so many other issues.

The Republicans were on the defensive and denied reality that they had caused one fourth of the entire national debt under Donald Trump, and had raised the debt ceiling three times, but now are being resistant on doing so this time!

Anyone who had doubts about Joe Biden’s ability to deal with complex issues saw a President highly energetic, giving a fantastic speech that put the Republicans on the defensive.

Biden is ready to take the case of his reelection to the nation, and he will, clearly, give the opposition “hell”, as Harry Truman did in the Presidential campaign of 1948!

Seditionists In Republican Caucus In Charge In The House Of Representatives In The 118th Congress!

A sad, tragic, and threatening circumstance now is reality!

The Republican controlled House of Representatives in the 118th Congress has become the property of seditionists and traitors, those who promoted “Election Denial” and the US Capitol Insurrection of January 6, 2021!

Extremists, led by Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia; Lauren Boebert of Colorado; Matt Gaetz of Florida; Paul Gosar of Arizona; Scott Perry of Pennsylvania; Jim Jordan of Ohio; James Comer of Kentucky; and others has been given power and membership on committees that will now be out to wipe out the truth and the investigation completed by the January 6 House Committee!

And any one of them could call for a vote at any time to dislodge Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, who has sold his soul, ethics, morals, and principles in order to accomplish his lifelong goal to be Speaker!

Chaos and anarchy are ahead of us, and sham investigations and supposed scandals will be the center of attention, without any real conclusions that are truthful, only designed to divide America further, without regard as to the effect on average Americans!

And the likelihood of a financial crisis over the debt limit will cause great turmoil and suffering, totally reckless and unnecessary!

Republican Control Of The House Of Representatives To Be A Horror Show!

The next two years will be a horror show in the House of Representatives, with the Republicans being in charge, under an unprincipled person likely to be Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy of California.

McCarthy is weak and will give in to wackos in the House Republican Caucus, including Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Lauren Boebert of Colorado, Matt Gaetz of Florida, Jim Jordan of Ohio, and others.

THe Republicans will persecute President Biden and top cabinet members by having hearings on all kinds of accusations, including against Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

And the likelihood is that there will be a move to use the impeachment weapon, even though to compare Biden and his Presidency to the illegalities and immorality of the Donald Trump Presidency is preposterous.

Hopefully, the Republicans will self destruct and lose their bare majority in 2024, but meanwhile, the important issues that face the American people will not be dealt with, a true tragedy of major proportions!

Republicans Plot To Use Impeachment Weapon Against Biden Presidency!

With the Midterm Elections of 2022 around the corner, it is becoming clear that the Republicans, if they win control of the House of Representatives, will go on the warpath against the Biden Presidency.

Kevin McCarthy will be, sadly, beholden to Donald Trump and the MAGA crazies, including Jim Jordan, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, and a whole group of others in the “Freedom Caucus”.

So we can expect impeachment moves against Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Attorney General Merrick Garland, and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.

Impeachment will be used, because it was used twice against Donald Trump, but the difference is that Trump was involved in impeachable acts, and in the case of Joe Biden and company, the Republicans will have to conjure up ridiculous charges!

So the Republicans will create chaos and anarchy and disarray, and will undermine American economic policies, and foreign policy, including wishing to abandon Ukraine and favor Vladimir Putin!

Face the facts: the Republican Paty has become a Fascist authoritarian group, promoting white supremacy, racism, nativism, and misogyny, and cozying up to Vladimir Putin!

The Republican party is no longer a party of distinction, and decent Republicans will try to organize a new Conservative Party to replace the disgrace that the Republican Party has become!

Defeat Of Sarah Palin For Alaska House Seat A Major Win For Democrats As Midterms Loom!

The victory of Mary Peltola, an Alaska Native, for the open House seat, over former Governor and 2008 Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin, is a major win for Democrats as the Midterm Elections of 2022 loom on the horizon over the next two months.

This is the first Democratic win in Alaska for the House seat in a half century, with Don Young holding the seat for the Republicans since his election in 1973 and until his death earlier this year, after a record setting 49 years, the longest of any House or Senate Republican in American history. His wife had been, ironically, an Alaska native!

While Peltola will have to compete for the seat again in November, it would seem likely that she would triumph over Sarah Palin once again, and retire the outspoken, Trump like supporter, from public life, or at least, from making moronic statements as Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert do regularly in the House of Representatives, embarrassing themselves and the Republican Party!

Looney Republican Women Running For Governor: Kari Lake And Tudor Dixon

The Republican Party has had looney women run for Congress and become an embarrassment, including, most recently, Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boerbert of Colorado. But they have done little harm, other than to cause outrage, as they are a small element in the House of Representatives, who just make a lot of noise!

But now, we have looney women nominated for the Governorship of two states that were influential in the Presidential Election of 2020!

Arizona has Kari Lake as its nominee for Governor, and Michigan has Tudor Dixon as its nominee for Governor, and both are believers in the “Big Lie” that Donald Trump won the Presidential Election of 2020, and are unwilling to acknowledge that Joe Biden is the rightful winner of the Presidency.

Both Lake and Dixon make it clear they will do everything possible to deny the Democrats the electoral votes of their states in 2024, even if the Democratic Presidential nominee wins the popular votes in their states.

So both Lake and Dixon are deniers of reality, and are a threat to democracy’s continuation in their states!

Interestingly, both states will have a Democratic woman running against these looney Republican women.

Arizona will have Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, who insured despite threats, that Arizona had legitimately voted for Joe Biden in 2020, and is now the Democratic nominee for the Governorship.

And Michigan has the very courageous Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who was threatened by extremists in the state in the past few years, but stood tall and principled, and is running for a second term as Governor.

It is urgent that Arizona and Michigan elect these two competent, decent women over the lunatic and dangerous women that the Republican Party has foisted on the people of these states!

Right Wing Anti Democracy Extremists: CPAC Convention This Weekend In Dallas, Texas

CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) has been having annual conferences since 1974, and it brings together famous conservative political activists.

However, CPAC has become much more extremist right wing in recent years, and is very different in its advocacy now as compared to a half century ago.

It has become an authoritarian, Fascist oriented party, with loyalty to Donald Trump and the “Big Lie”, that he won the Presidential Election of 2020, not Joe Biden.

And most Republicans continue to support Donald Trump.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, a full blown Fascist with anti immigrant, white supremcaist, homophobic, and misogynistic policies, was the big “hero” of the first day of the four day conference that began on Thursday.
