CoronaVirus Crisis Will Bring Donald Trump Down!

The ultimate job of any President of the United States is to promote the safety and security of the American people, and on that basis, Donald Trump is failing miserably in dealing with the growing CoronaVirus Crisis.

Clearly, this is a public health crisis of massive proportions, and all Americans would wish that Donald Trump was capable of handling a crisis that may stand out as one of the greatest tragedies in all of American history.

But Trump is playing politics, concerned more with his reelection, than giving full authority to medical and health experts, and this is proved by his appointment of Vice President Mike Pence, who is anti science and just prays a lot to God, to lead the effort to quell the crisis.

It seems clear that this crisis will not be handled in a proper manner, whatever that is, and that Donald Trump will pay the price in being defeated for reelection.

Not only is there likelihood of massive death totals, but also the economy is clearly going into a tailspin, and the next President will likely face depression conditions unseen since 2008 and the Great Recession.

This blogger and author hopes he is wrong, but this is clearly the most horrifying health crisis faced since the Spanish Flu epidemic of a century ago!

That’s typical of the type of idiots who vote for him.

  2. Jeffrey Moebus March 8, 2020 10:14 am

Either that, or Trump will use it as justification for the declaration of a national emergency, martial law, and himself as America’s first President For Life.

  3. Jeffrey Moebus March 8, 2020 10:15 am

Ooops! Sorry. Just another “conspiracy theory.”

  4. Former Republican March 8, 2020 11:05 am

LOL! More nonsense drivel by the troll.

  5. Pragmatic Progressive March 8, 2020 11:06 am

Two cases now here in Virginia. Both, so far, are in northern Virginia.

  6. Jeffrey Moebus March 8, 2020 12:37 pm

    LOL! Yuk-yuk-yuk. Tee-hee-hee.
We’ll see how loud the laughing is when it happens, won’t we?

  7. Rustbelt Democrat March 8, 2020 1:43 pm

I get the feeling that Trumpty Dumpty never really wanted to be President. The job of being President is work and I get the impression that that is boring to him.

  8. Former Republican March 8, 2020 1:47 pm

Precisely, Rustbelt. As usual, the stupid troll is being paranoid.

  9. Jeffrey Moebus March 8, 2020 2:20 pm

Trump is “bored” with being POTUS Maxximmuss XLV? He has never had so much fun in his entire life. Plus, he’s getting richer by the moment. What is there for him not to like about being President?

  10. Jeffrey Moebus March 8, 2020 2:32 pm

Paranoid, eh? Heh. If he decides to do that, who and or what is going to stop him? Bernie Sanders? Joe Biden? Nancy Pelosi? Michelle Obama?

When it happens, FR, we’ll see who’s “paranoid.”

When the health care system collapses ~ and with it, the economy ~ what option will he have? To resign like Nixon and turn it over to Pence?

  11. Princess Leia March 8, 2020 2:46 pm

Agreed, Former Republican. The troll is wasting his time here. We’re not gullible fools. Nothing he says is ever going to be taken seriously here. He needs to get the hint and leave and never, ever come back.

  12. Rational Lefty March 8, 2020 2:56 pm

Popping in to wish the rest of the ladies here – Leia, Pragmatic, Southern Liberal – Happy International Women’s Day! 🙂

  13. Rustbelt Democrat March 8, 2020 3:04 pm

I’m curious how the stupid troll found the Professor’s blog in the first place.

  14. Pragmatic Progressive March 8, 2020 3:05 pm

Thanks for that, Rational Lefty. 🙂

  15. Ronald March 8, 2020 4:04 pm

I wonder that too, Rustbelt Democrat, lol!

  16. Jeffrey Moebus March 8, 2020 4:38 pm

Why, Ronald: Don’t You remember our exchanges of e-mail last September re an article of Yours on HNN? i wrote:

Dear Dr Feinmen: Thank You for Your virtually immediate response.

First of all, the dog-and-pony show that this impeachment promises to be is a waste of more than just money. The Economics principle of “Opportunity Cost” applies to time, effort, and energy, as well. And, it is as applicable to the people in Congress and what they do as it is to Everybody and Everything else.

Second of all: Are the Democrats in Congress to be the ultimate arbiters of whether or not Trump feels “emboldened in his abuses”? What about the American people? All the polls i’ve read indicate that a slim-to-solid majority of Americans do not want Impeachment.

And that means that that majority consists of more than just that solid 45% who have approved of the job he’s done and is doing ever since the beginning of his reign. It means that it includes a sizable number of people who disapprove of his job performance, but don’t think that impeachment is the best way to deal with him or his abuses.

Third of all: The idea that there are no limits on Presidential power didn’t start with Trump. The Imperial Presidency was handed down to him by his predecessor, who handed it down from his, who handed it down from…. .

Ever since at least the Tonkin Gulf Resolution of 1964, the Congress of the United States [regardless of which party was in control] has always gone right along with enhanced, increased, unchallenged, and unchallengeable Presidential Power. And they have done that because they know that their time will come to hold that seat of power, and thus be able to be at the front of the trough for their allotted time, as well.

Since 1964, how many times has a Democratic Congress [or anybody of any party in Congress] rolled over and followed meekly behind the latest expansion of Presidential Power and American Blood and Treasure into a War Zone? Can You name even once when it did not?

How many undeclared Wars have our Presidents gotten us into, and what has Congress ever done to keep them from getting started, or to stop them once they were started?

The ONLY reason the Democrats want to impeach is because they think it will help them in 2020; and on this score, i think they are sorely mistaken. Like i said in an elaboration of my message to You that i’m working on:

The only people who will benefit from [impeachment] are: the politicians who manage to get their fill of face time; those in the media business of marketing and selling this whole reality-tv extravaganza; and the folks scripting and choreographing the whole goat-rope for the people in Swampland at both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue: their owners, operators, and handlers over on J and up on Wall Streets.

The American people will gain nothing from impeachment but more lost, wasted money, time, effort, and energy from and by their so-called representatives/leaders in Washington. It is just another in a long line of distractions to keep everybody totally oblivious to what is really going on up there in Swampland.

Plus, it will only serve to make next year’s election campaign even uglier, nastier, and more prone to stupidity, ignorance, and intellectual and physical violence than it already was going to be.

You concluded with: I feel we have to think of the long run, not just the short run future.

i am thinking long run, Professor Feinman, when i ask, in all dead seriousness:

Will there even be an election on November 3, 2020? If there is, will there be an Inauguration on January 21, 2021? Regardless of who loses? And if there is that, then will the United States still be around to celebrate its 250th birthday on July 4, 2026? Regardless of what happens in 2020?

What the Democrats COULD do is get legislation passed that mandates that Trump will not initiate military action against the Peoples, Nation, Land, and Government of Iran without seeking and getting a formal Declaration of War by the Congress of the United States. And that that failure to do so will constitute Grounds for Impeachment.

How many Democrats would go along with THAT alternative to impeaching for emoluments violations and other abuses of power? Do You think any of the front-running candidates for President would?

Do You think that the American people would?

Thank You again for Your response; i look forward to another one.

    /s/ jeff

ps: One thing that the MoveOn.org folks got right about Clinton and his impeachment was that there were infinitely more infinitely more important things for that Congress to do back then, as well. One thing they got wrong was that Clinton should have been removed from office on the grounds that he was too dumb to get a blowjob from a White House Intern young enough to be his daughter, and not get caught at it.

We came upon the Professor’s blog when we were checking out links at a progressive blog called Winningprogressive.org. That blog is no longer up and running. The husband and wife team who ran that blog moved on to Facebook (www.facebook.com/WinningProgressive/) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/winprogressive?lang=en), although they haven’t updated those since 2019. One of them had health issues, so that could be why they haven’t done much updating.

Another blog we read was Horizons. http://immasmartypants.blogspot.com/

She now writes for the Washington Monthly’s Political Animal blog.

Another blogger we’re recently discovered through Washington Monthly is Martin Longman. His blog is Progress Pond. https://progresspond.com/

His blog has videos in addition to articles, but you have to subscribe to the blog to watch the videos.

BPI Campus was another blog we enjoyed. https://bpicampus.com/

That blog has ended as well.

The rest of us here at this blog are all optimistic that America will rid itself of the cancer known as Trump without any doom and gloom.

  23. Pragmatic Progressive March 8, 2020 8:50 pm

Cheers to that, Former Republican! 🙂

  24. Former Republican March 9, 2020 8:39 am

Agreed, Leia. It’s time for him to head back to his home at Breitbart.

  25. Rational Lefty March 9, 2020 8:42 am

Getting back to the topic of the virus, I heard that Ted Cruz and another Congressman at that CPAC conference are doing self quarantine.

  26. Southern Liberal March 9, 2020 4:44 pm

Got a third case in northern Virginia. All three, so far, are international travel cases. No community spread, so far.

Georgia representative, Doug Collins, who shook hands with Trump at CPAC, is a third person under self-quarantine, in addition to Ted Cruz and Arizona representative, Paul Gosar.

  27. Princess Leia March 9, 2020 5:01 pm

I guess when Trump comes down with a fever, cough, shortness of breath, then he’ll realize it’s not a hoax.

  28. Rustbelt Democrat March 9, 2020 5:40 pm

Trump will probably blame it on the Democrats, saying the guy was a plant.

  29. Pragmatic Progressive March 9, 2020 5:44 pm

A couple of attendees at AIPAC tested positive and Pence attended that, in addition to CPAC.

  30. Rational Lefty March 9, 2020 10:21 pm

His new Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows, is another one in self-quarantine.

Gohmert was also exposed, but he’s not quarantining.
