Two Impeachment Articles: Abuse Of Power And Obstruction Of Congress

The House Judiciary Committee has decided, with the backing of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, to bring two articles of impeachment against Donald Trump: Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress.

While this author and blogger felt there should be more than two articles, he can agree that making the case for impeachment is easier with two succinct articles, focused on what is most evident about Donald Trump’s behavior in office.

And, ironically, or is it so, on the same day as this occurred, Trump met with the Soviet Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the White House, giving further evidence of his collusion with Russia, and his making life difficult for a nation, Ukraine, which has had its territory violated by Russia five years ago, and has led to this impeachment action.

But the Republican Party in Congress is in lockstep behind Donald Trump, having become pro Russian, which would cause a total shock to past Republicans, including Presidents Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon, and even infamous Senator Joseph McCarthy of Wisconsin!

What’s that stench pervading Swampland? Another Pelosi-Trump Deal?

What happened to all those other “high crimes and misdemeanors” that Trump was going to be nailed for.

And Great Job, Democrats, on the new NDAA. Boy… You really showed fiscal responsibility and restraint. Again.

Once again, the MIC reigns supreme. How could it not, given the money it lavishes on folks on both sides of the aisle up on The Hill; especially its so-called senior “leadership.”.

If lying and coverups about foreign policy constitute “high crimes and misdemeanors,” what did Obama and his Team do during his eight years on the throne?

Yeah… “Let’s bring in Rumsfeld.” And let’s bring in former Secretary of State Clinton, as well.

And how about that NAFTA 2.0? Sure glad they found time to fit that in to their busy schedule.

The more things unfold, the more Pelosi and Trump are on exactly the same sheet of music.

Jeffrey, you are totally lacking in credibility in what you are saying, and no one reading this blog is paying any attention, other than shaking their heads.

Pelosi and Trump a team? How preposterous, as all that is happening is that the Democrats are trying to gain whatever progress possible, while the Republicans in the Senate are doing NOTHING to deal with national issues!

    “Preposterous,” eh?

The only reason this government is open [at least until 20dec] is the Team Trump/Pelosi deal to kick the FY 2020’s Budget Deficit down the road.

Just like Team Trump/Pelosi kicked the Debt Ceiling Limit down the road until after Election 2020 so no politician has to talk about it, or voters even have to think about it.

Just like they got that $738 Billion NDAA, the extension of PATRIOT and AUMF, and the extension forever of their “Forever War.”

And where’d they find the time to make NAFTA 2.0 happen that BOTH ends of Pennsylvania Avenue and J Street in between could agree on?

    Yeah….. preposterous.
