The Threat Of The Alt-Right Made Clear By Hillary Clinton In Nevada Speech: White Nationalists And Anti Semite Hate Groups And The Radical Fringe

The Alt-Right is the new extremist Right Wing, which makes Fox News Channel, the right wing radio talk show hosts, and the conservative think tanks seem moderate.

These are groups and individuals, including Stephen Bannon of Breitbart News, now working with Donald Trump, who are white nationalists, mixed with anti Semites, nativists, misogynists, xenophobes, homophobes, and Islamophobes.

They include Confederate sympathizers, who hate the federal government, and want the end of all government regulation on any area of the economy, and would love to get rid of civil rights laws and civil liberties protections.

If they could gain power, they would love to wipe out the New Deal and Great Society reforms, that have made America the nation it is today.

They want the return of the “good old days” of states rights, racial discrimination, and women being “put in their place” in the bedroom and the kitchen, and not being out in the work force and promoting feminist causes.

And they believe in a “great Jewish conspiracy”, which connects them to Nazi mentality.

These are the groups that Hillary called a “Basket of Deplorables” yesterday, a perfectly appropriate term.

Winning Progressive Facebook comment about this: #Hillary was exactly right – about half of #Trump’s supporters are a “basket of deplorables” – racists, xenophobes, bigots, and misogynists. And the other half are simply people who the system has failed and are desperate for any sort of change. As progressives, we need to respond to the needs and concerns of the latter group. And we need to call out and oppose the former group for the terrible hate that they stand for and that the Trump campaign is trying to normalize.

I just sent a nice Basket of Deplorables via the FTD (Freakin’ Trump Deplorables) website to the Trump campaign. It includes a Rose is off the bloom, a Forget me not (because how could you forget him), a Daze-E, and a Dandy Lying..
Thorns included at no extra charge

    Per political commentator, Robert Reich:

Will Trump refuse to concede if he loses the election? Republican Gov. Matt Bevin of Kentucky told religious conservatives that if Hillary Clinton is elected president, blood might have to be shed. “I want us to be able to fight ideologically, mentally, spiritually, economically, so that we don’t have to do it physically,” Bevin said Saturday. “But that may, in fact, be the case.” Recently, Trump’s close adviser Roger Stone warned that if Clinton were to “steal” the election, her inauguration would “mean civil disobedience, not violence, but it will be a bloodbath. The government will be shut down if they attempt to steal this and swear Hillary in. No, we will not stand for it. We will not stand for it.”

Regardless of what Trump and his troops are planning, this kind of rhetoric is irresponsible and dangerous. A democracy depends on a peaceful transition of government. To suggest otherwise is to fan the flames of paranoia and violence.

Absolutely the case, Pragmatic Progressive, and very worrisome! It will condemn Trump in history if anything violent were to occur around Inauguration Day! And he should face arrest and prosecution!
