Bernie Sanders On The Road To Being The Ralph Nader Of 2000! He May Bring Us Donald Trump And A Right Wing Supreme Court!

It looks as if Bernie Sanders is on the road to being the Ralph Nader of 2000.

In so doing, he may bring us Donald Trump in the White House, which would condemn him in history, as Nader brought us George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, and two wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, and the disastrous response to Hurricane Katrina!

Sanders has failed to win more than a few primaries, mostly winning unrepresentative caucuses; is more than three million popular votes behind Hillary Clinton; and will not have more pledged delegates than Clinton, but he now says he will fight to change “super delegates”, who have pledged to Hillary Clinton, to switch loyalties to him, which will not happen. He is not lifelong Democrat, but rather a Socialist who was allowed to join the Democratic Party, and now is, seemingly, out to harm them for his own ambitions!

But what it means is that we will have division, dissension, and turmoil at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, rather than unity. Already, Sanders has demanded, which will not happen, to remove Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Congresswoman from Florida as the DNC Chair, and also to replace former Congressman Barney Frank of Massachusetts and Governor Dan Malloy of Connecticut as leaders of the Platform Committee at the convention.

Bernie now comes across as a bitter, nasty, crotchety old man who seems not to care about whether the progressive agenda wins, but only whether his own ego is satiated!

I initially admired Bernie. His stubbornness is turning me off now.

The left is afraid of a right wing Court? In 2001, Justice Sonia Sotomayor gave a speech declaring that the ethnicity and sex of a judge “may and will make a difference in our judging.”
In her speech, Justice Sotomayor questioned the famous notion — often invoked by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her retired Supreme Court colleague, Sandra Day O’Connor — that a wise old man and a wise old woman would reach the same conclusion when deciding cases.
“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life,” said Justice Sotomayor.
Isn’t it time liberal Democrats once and for all get right with Lincoln and write off racism — aka in the 21st century, “identity politics”?
I recall President John F. Kennedy telling the nation in his televised address over the racial turmoil in 1963 Birmingham, Alabama that “race has no place in American life or law.” Apparently this doesn’t seem to be the case for Justice Sotomayor. I also wonder if Judge Curiel, who is a card carrying member of the San Diego “La Raza” Lawyers Association, uses his “wise Latino” ways to pass judgement? After all Judge Curiel belongs to an association that specifically states its mission on its website as follows:
Our purpose is to advance the cause of equality, empowerment and justice for Latino attorneys and the Latino community in San Diego County through service and advocacy.
Note. The group supports “equality, empowerment and justice” not for all attorneys in San Diego — only for “Latino attorneys.”
The left accuses Trump of “equating ethnicity with judicial bias”. And yes “equating ethnicity with judicial bias” is offensive, but it is Judge Curiel who has been actively associated with the racially-centric San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association — a group entirely devoted to “equating ethnicity with judicial bias” and it is Justice Sotomayor who encourages it. And I Recall that when it came to light that then Supreme Court Obama-nominee Sonia Sotomayor was found to be saying in speeches that a “wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male,” leftist were thrilled.

Once again, our RW troll comes out of the woodwork and purposefully shows that he’s a know-nothing.

I suggest a laughing icon for the forum. Every time he shows up, we all reply with laughter at his crazy nonsense.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I heard on the news that Trump is encouraging his supporters to defend him concerning the judge. Juan/Mercy’s post shows he’s obviously a supporter.

Mercy here not Juan. I have not yet “identified” myself as a man and I am pretty happy with my “assigned’ gender at birth. So please stop violating my civil rights by calling me Juan. Now back to business. I am not defending nor supporting Trump. All I am saying is “Look at the pot calling the kettle black”. The radical left in power (and I mean not just political power) created Trump. All I am doing is sadly watching how the country is going to hell.

We could use this —-> 🙂

Looks a little bit like it’s laughing.

Because our troll is pushing the La Raza lie, is why I don’t believe it when our troll claims that he or she is not defending nor supporting Trump.

Thanks for that Rustbelt. I suggest we use that.

That Iowa senator’s decision makes the weak behavior of Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell look spineless in comparison.

    Ronald,

I am a regular viewer of Free Speech TV.

In April, the superb Thom Hartmann had a very thoughtful take on Bernie Sanders’s voters—and direction needed in the Democratic Party.

I will include a link here:
