Lies, Deception, Fear, Hypocrisy Being Utilized By Right Wing To Destroy ObamaCare

There have been so many lies, deceptions, fears, and hypocrisy stoked by the right wing in America to destroy ObamaCare before it goes into effect.

The argument that ObamaCare has caused massive loss of full time employment is a total lie, as that has been going on since the Great Recession of 2008.

The argument that the individual mandate will force people to pay a fine, without any way to avoid it, is a lie, as no one will be prosecuted if they do not pay it, with the only purpose being to convince Americans of the importance of being insured for their health.

The argument that prices for health insurance will double and triple is a lie, as government subsidies will be provided for people up to four times the poverty income for a family of four.

Many ignorant, prejudiced people, many of whom are racists, will not associate with anything connected to Barack Obama, even with proof that it would save them money. It has already been shown to be true that people tied to an ideological commitment, are willing to lie openly on television about their situations in an interview arranged by Sean Hannity of Fox News Channel, who has no trouble lying through his teeth, exploiting any situation to fulfill his need to enrich himself, and can look straight in the camera as he knows that he, and people who he knows are lying and deceiving, go right ahead and do so on his television show. And this is common all the time on radio talk shows of the right wing, and on Fox News Channel, by people determined to make sure that tens of millions of Americans have no ability to have coverage for their children to age 26; make sure that pre-existing conditions not be covered for millions of children and adults; and make sure that the closing of the “donut hole” for senior citizens on their prescription medications not be covered.

This is class warfare, trying to turn the 85 percent who have health care against the concept that the other 15 percent should have the same right to health care at reasonable cost.

This is the right wing Heritage Foundation, headed by extremist right winger Jim DeMint, formerly Senator from South Carolina, hiding the fact that it was that group which proposed what is now ObamaCare in 1993, as an alternative to HillaryCare, the Clinton health care plan, which was more extreme in its approach to health care, than the plan now law, which is also so much like RomneyCare in Massachusetts. So a Republican plan adopted by Barack Obama is suddenly “socialism”, which it is not in any sense.

How can one look at this, except to call it the BIG LIE technique, utilized in dictatorships, by such luminaries as Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Joseph Stalin, and others as the method to expand their power at the detriment of the population?

Eugene, you are showing just how ignorant you really are, as just because Stewart is critical of the problems with the website, does not mean that he is repudiating ObamaCare and its benefits. But I suppose you are one of those selfish people who has health care insurance, and does not give a damn about people with pre-existing conditions, or the cost of prescription medications, etc. Rather, this is a dog eat dog world, and since you have, screw everyone else, but of course, go to church on Sunday and claim you are a “religious” man! What hypocrisy! And the fact that lies are being dispensed is fine, as that is the way to prevent the unfortunate from having health care, and means they might die sooner, which is of no concern to you! How do you look in the mirror at yourself, and not feel shame? Unbelievable!

A fine? A fine you say? Wait a minute! Justice Roberts said it’s a TAX! Remember how he rewrote Obamacare so as to somehow in his feverish mind make it constitutional? And how the other liberal “I wanna help Obama and any other destructive liberal President” Justices went along with it?Now, even though the government will not prosecute you for not paying a fine (or is it a tax?),the IRS will still deduct it from you tax returns. But as you can read below in the Washington Post there is a way to get around even that! So,I guess accountants will have their field day helping people who work hard elude this ridiculous unconstitutional stupid authoritarian law! Hooray!!!!!!!!!! Incompetent busy-body tormenting bureaucrats and coffee lounge “intellectuals” who live in their “gaseous bubble” will never learn that the people (well at least the hard working independent responsible people) will always be smarter and more intelligent than them! http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/05/13/readers-ask-we-answer-what-happens-if-you-dont-pay-obamacares-tax-penalty/

Hey Bud, I don’t need lecturing from you and I don’t need to look at the news to find out what’s happening. Not only has my premium gone up, but also my wife’s! Plus I have a bunch of personal friends whose premium also went up preposterously and some who even lost their coverages that they liked and now have to go to those damn exchanges. So don’t come here and tell me about this and that news report propaganda. I don’t need them, I see what is happening in real life time. And the truth is this government has decided that some Americans should bear the cost of covering other Americans coverage. Now that’s all fine and dandy if and if they government would have made that perfectly clear from the get go, but no , they insisted that on average everyone’s coverage was going to be $2500 cheaper, when the reality is that its on average $7500 more expensive! And they insisted it was going to cost us less than $1 trillion, and now it’s estimated to cost over $3 trillion. They insisted it would be deficit neutral and now they admitted it’s not. So the government again pics winners and loser , but without even informing the losers before hand that they were going to lose. And that is despicable! You talk about some Americans not caring and so forth, well it all good to care when everyone chips in, but that’s not the way this was designed. Why didn’t the government say “Hey listen, there are some without coverage so we are going to raise the cost of those who do have coverage so that we can redistribute that to those that don’t” and then see what the American people would have said. But no, this government just decided to lie to the people. Most believed but some of us knew from the start what this entailed and it is now unraveling before our very eyes.

    Hello Professor,
I have noted many times over the years, when discussing any subject with a person claiming “conservative views”; that when it becomes obvious they really don’t know much about a subject being exposed through Socratic Logic, these people will then start making up facts that will to continue to support the views they want reality to be.

    Interesting…oddly interesting….

Yes, Engineer, Eugene certainly fits that category, and starts to believe lies that he knows are lies. I think, as you have said, that he is Juan Domingo Peron and Robert under a new name, and he will soon be silenced on this blog.

    Eugene writes,

“So,I guess accountants will have their field day helping people who work hard elude this ridiculous unconstitutional stupid authoritarian law!”

Not according to the U.S. Supreme Court.

A failed troll post from Eugene.

  7. Ronald October 24, 2013 12:31 pm

D, I am sure you are NOT surprised at anything Eugene says! He has no validity, because he is, as you said, a troll!

How many “not according to the U.S. Supreme Court” do we have in history? Let’s see shall we?
-Slavery? Not according to the U.S. Supreme Court in the Dred Scott case.
-Separate but equal? Segregation? Not according to the U.S. Supreme Court in Plessy v Ferguson case.
-Concentration camps for Japanese and Japanese Americans? Not according to the U.S. Supreme Court in the Korematsu case. And also not according to liberal icon Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
-Government taking away your private property and transferring it to another private third party? Not according to the U.S. Supreme Court in the Kelo v New London case.
-Government regulating and taxing the amount of wheat you produce on your own farm for your own consumption? Not according to the U.S. Supreme Court in Wickard v Filburn.
Killing babies a.k.a abortion in PC language. Not according to the U.S.Supreme Court in Roe v Wade.
So you see we have had many “not according to the U.S. Supreme Courts” infamous rulings that Americans did not accept and still do not accept and continue the fight for freedom and justice.

This CBS is really part of the right wing conspiracy! http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505269_162-57608843/healthcare.gov-pricing-feature-can-be-off-the-mark/
CBS This Morning revealed about the federal health care website. Jan Crawford underlined how “in some cases, people could end up paying nearly double what they see on the website.”
Crawford zeroed in on how the “shop and browse” feature on HealthCare.gov drastically underestimated prices for older citizens, in particular, and cited unnamed health care industry executives’ appalled reaction to this latest problem.
JONATHAN WU, HEALTHCARE ANALYST: “Incredibly misleading for people that are trying to get a sense of what they’re paying.”
CRAWFORD: “Industry analysts, like Jonathan Wu, point out the website lumps people only into two broad categories: 49 or under, and 50 or older. Prices for everyone in the 49 or under group are based on what a 27-year-old would pay. In the 50 or older group, prices are based on what a 50-year-old would pay.
We ran the numbers for a 48-year-old in Charlotte, North Carolina ineligible for subsidies. According to HealthCare.gov, she would pay $231 a month. But the actual plan on BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina’s website costs $360 – more than a 50 percent increase. The difference: BlueCross BlueShield requests your birthday before providing more accurate estimates.
The numbers for older Americans are even more striking. A 62-year-old in Charlotte, looking for the same basic plan, would get a price estimate on the government website of $394. The actual price is $634.”
Near the end of the segment, Crawford gave her anecdote about the anonymous health care executives who labeled the “shop and browse” feature “useless”. She then added that the same people stated that “the website repeatedly states the actual prices could be lower, but it makes no mention they could be higher.”
I wonder who lies, who is deceiving and being a hypocrite!? There is no worse blind-man than he who wishes not to see. So, I guess I deserve to be “silenced” for dissenting, right? “A despot is he who believes that opposing the government is to be a traitor”

  10. Ronald October 24, 2013 4:17 pm

Eugene, you have made good points on past Supreme Court decisions, no doubt about that.

Do you include the Supreme Court decision in Bush V Gore; or the Citizens United Case; or the cutback on the Voting Rights Act, which has now led Texas to discriminate against women, minorities, senior citizens, and students, a pattern also evident in other “red” states?

And while you believe in the right to life, are you content with cutting food stamps, taking food out of children’s mouths, and that of other poor people, many of them single mothers who had children they cannot afford; and disabled and seniors whose lives are cut short by inadequate nutrition?

And are you content with denying millions of Americans health care coverage, which causes deaths of thousands upon thousands annually, but none of whom you personally know, so it therefore does not matter to you, as long as you do not have to pay one cent more for health care?

You act so self righteous, desiring freedom and justice, when all that concerns you is YOUR freedom and justice, since you could not give a damn about others, other than your family and people you know. No one else matters, right, Eugene? In your heart of hearts, you know that to be true!

News is leaking out that Representative Pete Sessions told President Obama to his face during a meeting over the budget crisis “I can’t even stand to look at you”. This is the most disrepectfulness I’ve seen for a president in my lifetime.

Since Juan/Russian woman/Robert/Eugene says he doesn’t need to look at the news, he’s a low-information voter.

    Right on Leia! 🙂
