State Run Health Exchanges Working Better Than Federal Health Site: Republican Run States Are Helping To Damage ObamaCare By Refusal To Cooperate

It is an interesting development that those states which have decided to cooperate on ObamaCare by working on promoting the plan through state websites are having success in people being able to access information, and knowing their state governments are trying to help them succeed in their quest for health insurance.

Meanwhile, however, the vast majority of states, mostly run by Republican Governors, have put barriers in the way of cooperation, forcing the federal government to take care of millions of insurance seekers without any desire of the state governments involved to promote health care for their citizens who do not have it.

This is unconscionable, and demonstrates how the GOP is working to undermine any chance of success by their refusal to cooperate for the betterment of their less fortunate populations, much of it poor people, single mothers and children, minorities, and low paid workers of all races.

If the ObamaCare program fails, it will NOT be because of the glitches involved, but the immoral and unethical refusal of Republicans to care about their own populations that they govern, and it may just succeed in many states, as politics, and refusal to allow a success of the signature program of Barack Obama, is the priority over human lives and health, sad to say!

Professor i think it’s important to emphasize a fact about the individual mandate. I will present to exact text from the PPACA and translate it:
    (g) ADMINISTRATION AND PROCEDURE
    (1) IN GENERAL-The oenalty provided by this section shall be paid upon notice and demand by the secretary, and except as provided in paragraph (2), shall be assessed and collected in the same manner as an assessable penalty under subchapter B of chapter 68.
    (2) SPECIAL RULES-Notwithstanding any other provision of law-
    (A) WAIVER of CRIMINAL PENALTIES-iIn the case of any failure by a taxpayer to timely pay any penalty imposed by this section, such taxpayer SHALL NOT be subject to any criminal prosecution or penalty with respect to such failure.
    (B) LIMITATIONS ON LIEN AND LEVIES-THE SECRETARY SHALL NOT-
    (i) file notice of lien with respect to any property of a taxpayer by reason of any failure to pay the penalty imposed by this section, or
(ii) levy of any such property with respect to such failure.
TRANSLATION: You will be asked to buy Coverage. If you don’t, a notice of penalty will be sent to you.
If you don’t pay it the IRS or GOV will not put lien or levy on any of your property.
In other words-if you don’t pay the penalty, nothing will happen!!!!!!

Thanks for the clarification, Maggie, another example of GOP propaganda and lies, designed to prevent millions of Americans from having health care, and to make people fear their government!

I hope the law is a great success despite the efforts of the GOP to make it fail. I agree that it is very possible that it will succeed in states where the GOP cannot block it. So the unfortunate folks in GOP states (and I am one) will incur their share of the federal costs but not get many of the benefits. Seems rather stupid and maybe voters in those states will eventually realize that the GOP efforts are not helping state residents and vote accordingly.

Wow! Talk about fanaticism ! So now the Obamacare website disaster is somehow the Republicans fault?!! LOL!! LOL!!!And Obama is just another incompetent liberal or is he? Personally I’m somewhat inclined to think this is on purpose so people will say it’s so complicated that someone will say, “Hey let’s just have a single payer system and make it all easier!”. Now , one thing the Obamadrones cannot deny. They SPENT ALMOST $600 MILLION DOLLARS AND THIS WEBSITE!!! $600,000,000.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
