Mitt Romney Right On One Matter: Alternatives For 2012 GOP Nomination Were Worse Than Him!

A forthcoming book by Dan Balz of the Washington Post reveals that 2012 GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney did not wish to run, and his family overwhelmingly did not want him to run, but that he decided to do so because of his conclusion that the alternatives for the nomination were worse than him!

For once, and only once, Mitt Romney is correct in his judgment, as the alternatives of Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul were all much more unacceptable, basically a comedy team!

Only Jon Huntsman, who had no chance to be the nominee, was a far better choice than Romney!

The Republican Party had the worst combination of choices for President of a major political party in the entire history of Presidential elections, and they deserved the defeat they suffered, and will, assuredly, face the same future in 2016!

    Hello Professor,
Is it any wonder that most citizens of this country see the Republican Party is nothing more than a pathetic grouping of dysfunctional cartoon characters.

The Party of my parents is no longer even a small reminance of what it use to be. Instead it has become a magnet for every reactionary, racist, socially disfunctional, embracing ignorance, aspect currently in the country today.

This is why I am putting forth my personal efforts to bring to light this fact and purge this element from my family’s 150 year legacy of being members of our Republican Party.

The Democrats, as well as the establishment moderate RePUBICans, want the GOP to Exist as a Permanent, Beatable Minority. They want a Republican Party to survive that is a constantly beatable minority so they always have an opposition party. The Democrat Party cannot exist without villains and demons that it impugns and criticizes and discredits. They’re creating a permanent-minority, always-beatable Republican Party — with the Republican Party’s assistance. Now, the establishment of the Republican Party thinks that what they’re doing is their route back to victory.

I don’t buy into this … Mitt Romney did not really want to run for president.

MR may not have wanted to run for about a minute and a half… That man and his wife decided from day one IT WAS THEIR TURN! Both of them….esp Anne R were very sure they would be ascending the throne and they both were in shock when it didn’t happen.
